Lounging Around | Let's School - Part 12 (School Simulator)

- Let's School continues and we use some of our money to build a splendid new Student Lounge! It's got fancy tables, some vending machines and, worryingly for a building made mostly of wood, an open grill!
Another semester begins and we get in more science and humanities kids but we do begin to make plans to accept some art students. Another classroom is built for them and also we find their community on the map and send some money their way to make them like us a bit more and therefore increase the number of applicants we'll receive!
The students we send out on their field trip have a somewhat scary experience as they happen across a tiger. An actual tiger, in the road!
Also we do quite a bit of research, some students head out to see the former home of a celebrity (yyaayy?) and there's another round of exams.
Oh, apologies for my voice in this video, I am struggling with some germs and it's making my throat very dry and croaky! Hopefully it'll be back to normal soon!

In Let’s School, you take on the role of a principal tasked with the challenge of revamping and managing your alma mater! The game features two core mechanics: the construction and designing of the school and managing the dynamics of students and teachers.
Each student has unique interests and aspirations, making your role as headmaster more complex. Balancing factors like your school's reputation, satisfying students' basic needs, overseeing academic pressure, and managing aspects like clothing, food, and travel provide an immersive and challenging experience. Aside from the usual responsibilities of a headmaster, you are also tasked with managing various issues that originate outside the school, including mysterious dangers and potential threats that might cause things to go bananas!
The architectural design of the school is a blank canvas for the player. With the freedom to plan and construct various functional facilities and access to hundreds of educational equipment, you define your institution's aesthetic and practical landscape. Don't limit yourself to horizontal expansion - think vertically by constructing multi-story buildings for more innovative developments or even eccentric structures!
The fate of teachers and students lies in your hands. The recruitment process, teaching methodologies, and personal growth of teachers and students rest on your decisions. Enhancing the skills of your teachers opens up opportunities for them in different roles. You can influence student morale and academic performance by offering elective courses, thereby shaping their future life paths.
The management of school discipline is another crucial responsibility. Be mindful of the impact of school facilities on student morale, and beware of signs of student distress. Overeating in the canteen could lead to weight gain, while an increase in eyeglass usage could signal excessive stress. Proper access to sanitary facilities is vital, as a lack thereof may lead to widespread anxiety and misuse of the school premises.
To maintain discipline, monitor for contraband among students and establish an effective punishment system. Handling real-time crises such as truancy, bullying, and questioning also falls within your responsibilities.
Fostering a balanced school environment through field days, morning exercises, and various events could help students regulate their emotions. Let’s School is a game of management, strategy, and decision-making, where every choice you make has far-reaching consequences!

Pay attention to how much each student is paying. Groundshire might be easy to train, but they're only paying $68 each. You can send them to do community service to get much more, but unless you've got a whole class of these quick learners there's really no advantage to having them over other students.
I can't recall how much the Mudford (or whatever it's called) people are paying but we might also need to consider how much we get paid for them passing their exams, there might be a bit of a balance there.
@@TheGeekCupboard I took a look at how much you were getting from Mudford in the video, and it's even less than Groundshire. In my game, Groundshire is one of the poorest areas and pays the least of all the districts I've found so far so I just assumed there would be better prospects available to you. My apologies for that, you've done really well considering the payments you've been getting.
Try to establish admission offices everywhere (and build up your reputation), then decide who to take. Some place may offer a few students while other places may offer several students. You don't have to take students just try keeping your options open.
We could do that but I think we lose reputation with places if we don't take students, so it might be quite tricky to keep our reputation high with all the different communities.
I don't know if the reputation decreases over time if you don't take students. The amount of reputation you have, in my opinion, only matters with the school with the students you want. I don't know if you can take all students (in this playthrough) or if it even worth it.
The boilers go outside not inside for some reason but yes should definitely work on heat and air
Yes the boilers go outside but the coal burners go in the classroom...lol 🔥🤢🤢💀💀.
+1 - boilers do go outdoors in this game
The boilers go... outside?! Really? What about when it snows? I suppose the boiler is hot so the snow melts. OK, that is unexpected byt good to know, thank you!
@@TheGeekCupboard yes I know I'm just as suprised as you are
i've been watching you forever and have looped back around in my interests back to watching you again sorry adhd it takes me on wild rides of interests but you deserve sooooo many more subscribers and viewers you do amazing videos.
Another great episode. It is wonderful to be able to watch you and wee hours playing the same game again
It's a game that suits both our channels very well.
🍋 That was another great episode. You've uncovered quite a bit of new area too... and that newest place seems to be a good one for art students.
We shall have some fine works of art in our school! Or maybe some slightly dodgy drawings...
You have so many idle teachers, you really need to hold off on hiring extra staff for a while, or maybe dismiss some people
They'll all begin to get some stuff to do when we get more classrooms in, that's the big plan for the next 'phase' of the school.
Thank you for keeping this series running! Could you connect the second floor corridor so that it becomes a loop? Students now need to walk for 3 long corridors to reach the physics lab.
10:47 Betty is trying to do one of those dance moves from the fortnight game the kids play these days.
I mean, here in that States it's normal to have a window that looks outside in the bathroom because it helps with the humidity made from hot water, so that could be what the game is referring to with the white curtains ;p
Oh, so it's for a window in a bathroom, not for the individual toilet stalls! That might make more sense...
You stress me with all those empty spaces in your school xD
maybe you should think about expanding the classrooms? (two classrooms become one). it'll cost a lot of money, but at least you'll be able to reorganize the space and add things. besides, the size isn't great.
Anyway, I love your comments and videos.
lots of love from Belgium
Love this! My game is pretty much on a par with yours except I have the sporty naughties in my school. 😂
That's good to hear, at least I'm not making a total mess of things!
I must admit... when i first started watching this series, it didnt really interest me but im glad i stuck it out and gave it a chance. LOVING IT! P.S still catching up on eps.
It's a very silly series but very enjoyable!
This is such a great game
Another great episode. I forgot to comment on the last episode, but I don’t remember if you hired an assistant for the cafeteria or not but if you didn’t, you should put that Ernest guy who was over the food tent as cafeteria assistant. Then when necessary train him and the other person in the cafeteria up more. You have way too many idle staff which is losing you so much money. You’re really not even making that much profit with the amount of idle staff you have. You should consider going through them and keeping who you need for art or whatever and let the rest go.
We did get a cafeteria assistant, I think we hired someone, I'm sure they are doing a grand job! And yes we do have some idle staff but the plan is to get more classrooms in so hopefully, soon-ish, those idle teachers will get something to do!
@@TheGeekCupboard That’s right! And I totally just saw you build a new classroom and didn’t think about that and the other two you’re going to build. Then you’ll probably need management too so everyone may get assigned. Makes sense. Thanks for the hour long episodes. I bet they’re a bugger to edit but I love them being so lengthy.
☕☕☕☕☕
The new classroom needs to be adjusted to grade 1. It 'levelled up' to year 2 students
Aah, yes, that's a good point, I'll need to drop it back down again. Good call!
Cool school😂
I'm not sure I'd want to go there, although there is a tea room...
Beep boop, luv u!
Beep boop right back at you! 💖
