This game is so trash. First of all nothing but drums in the menu hubs is cruel and unusual punishment. I started a dynasty with freakin UNLV and it was super easy to get the top 5 recruits in the nation to commit. When you fumble players just stand there. And in ultimate team there's a glitch where I have to play in total darkness trying to do this solo challenge.

There are only about 4-6 plays people would run in older games without fail. A qb could truck a d linemen so physics weren’t implemented. Not to mention the graphics. I felt like I had the most total control on offense and defense in ncaa 2004. Everything was super responsive. They kept trying to fix something that wasn’t broken, until they broke it.

When you make a game more complex it’s impossible to keep the same level of responsiveness, also a ps2 games doesn’t require nearly as much from the system it’s not possible to matchup to 04, it will never happen. No reason to complain cause it won’t get anything done, just go play the old stuff

I agree with you. NCAA 14 seemed a lot brighter than CFB 25, and CFB 25 kinda seems just gray to me. Sim engine is terrible, I simmed a season and Georgia was ranked #7 at 7-5, with Ohio State at #17 with a 10-2 record. Also stats at the end of the year just aren't realistic with the highest scoring teams averaging about 35 ppg (LSU was 1st irl with 45.5 ppg). One last thing, recruiting is way to easy. Bordeaux posted a video where he rebuilt Sam Houston into a National Championship contender by year 3, getting 4 and 5 stars, which isn't that realistic
The defense in this game is non existent. You can't edit recruits names. You can't edit numbers. You can't create a stadium from the ground up. Road To Glory, can't see any stats Dynasty Mode, Ohio State gets blown out by Buffalo constantly not one a blue moon like NCAA 12, 13 and 14. The Madden sim is in this game. There's literally no parity in CFB so this sim makes no fucking sense. There's more, but the fanboys will get upset. EA gave them the okie doke, selling them an inferior game and they actually have hope EA will make this game better 😂😂

I dont know about letdown but it definitely doesnt hit the same. But thats just true of basically everything the older you get. They did a pretty good job.
I know everyone is happy for CFB to be back, that's great. But to me, this game doesn't look 11 years better than NCAA 14. The hype is big for it now but eventually the reality will set in. The graphics look last gen, the animations are clunky, and these gripes in the video are things that are mind blowing considering that EA makes so much money off of these games. At the end of the day, casuals don't care about this stuff and I'm happy for them if they like it. It was a big mistake for EA to have a monopoly over NFL and CFB. They have no reason to be creative or innovative, and I'm sure that this is going to be just the same game next year with minor improvements with an $80 asking price.
Yeah dude I was so excited for this game to come out I couldn’t sleep the night before it released didn’t listen to the people who told me I would be disappointed. But they were right I’m really disappointed I’m a dynasty player and the dynasty feels so lifeless and the game feels so unfinished it’s weird it almost looks like people who worked on this game had to no clue how to make a game. Because how the fuck is this what get after waking 3 fuckin years!!! The game almost doesn’t even feel like a real game almost feels like a glorified mod.

Their games, especially sports, get hammered for being the same rinse and repeat every year for a premium price yet EA never changes because they know that these games are like drugs to the people that play them. The vast majority of people that buy them don't care if they're bad or not and enable EA to continue with mediocrity. It's the same with COD. Same game every year with a new title.
I won’t buy it again next year unless I hear they’ve fixed alot of these issues. For me it’s the inability to create players and edit players which are staple features for every sports game in existence. But knowing how EA operates they probably took this out on purpose knowing this game would break sales records this year and they’ll trinkle in these features in later releases

Agreed. I played CFB revamped almost daily for the last 2 years. Have played one half and a few minigames on CFB 25 so far.. Don't ever get urges to play it sadly. That's also partly because it's not on PC probably. I bought an Xbox just for CFB 25.. but I despise giving up one of my monitors to switch to the xbox.
It's definitely not perfect. Feels like they rushed it out. I still enjoy playing it though. Hopefully they'll have patch updates to make it better this year. But with EA I won't hold my breath

Who cares about a scorebug. You said it yourself. Big Ten for example isn't on espn anymore. So if I'm playing as say Penn State. A espn look is unrealistic. As far as stadiums. You do realize they need to get those licensed right? There schools may not want them being upgraded. Stadiums are a schools ID. That's like wanting to customize a logo. If that makes sense. They got 134 teams and ypure botching about no fcs schools?
I agree about the presentation. It's a huge downgrade from the ESPN cutaways in NCAA 14. All the big voices (like Not the Expert, etc) completely glossed over that omission too. I'm hoping they bring it back next year. Until then, I feel pretty comfortable waiting for College Football 26. It seems they at least have the gameplay down so it's promising.
Every time I see someone critique this game some people in the fanbase get their panties in a bunch. The game has issues that need to be addressed and is also missing content from previous titles. If you guys carry this mentality of "oh you are making a big deal out of nothing" do not be surprised if this game does turns into another Madden. The devs actually listen to the fans. for me i’m just glad the gameplay is a significant improvement from madden. i think that was their biggest focus for this game. other than that basically everything is an upgrade from ncaa 14. obviously the lack of sunset dynamics is extremely disappointing, but i’m optimistic for the future of the game

Man big letdown there’s no way they tested road to glory. As a receiver your team won’t call timeouts to kick a field goal. They will just let the clock run out. As a cb anytime your cpu does something dumb they aim so u can’t replay it😂. As a CB if you look thru the play history it’ll say your player is returning punts. But it’s unplayable for the user. And they give you an 84 speed. It costs 10 skill points to upgrade then you get a whopping 85 speed! AS A CORNERBACK. No wr or corner has a speed that low which will cause u to get burnt every time. And the cpu will not throw it if u cover well. Man this game

Yeah people are just entitled little cry babies. It took a massive amount of resources to get everything licensed. And they completely overhauled gameplay. It's 10x better then madden. The fight songs, stadiuk crowds etc are all fantastic. Sure I'd love a deeper and better dynasty. I miss the trophy room and instant classics. But it's the first game in this new series.

The game had been disappointing on cpu miss easy tackle, too many broken tackles on offense, or after a pick. It takes too long for your players to sign on to your team on the road to glory
Thank you for making this vid! Game is a complete disappointment. It's not trash, but I expected way better. How do we not have things like a Performance Mode or Progressive Lighting in 2024 on a Next Gen Only game that they had years to develop? Really EA? Don't even get me started on the lame Halftime Show with no highlights from other games.. The graphics are even lackluster (PS2 looking crowd models & cheerleaders during gameplay, etc.) Then there's the player clipping post play (player's stepping through bodies lying on the field, players rolling through the legs of other players, feet & limbs fusing the through body parts when getting up from tackles, etc. Kills immersion! NCAA 14 was a deeper game smh.
I will say this it’s getting non college football fans like me into maybe I will start watching more college ball now. It’s also year 1 basically so I think they have a lot they can do in next year’s game.

This is part of why I didn't keep up with consoles after the PS2 ran its string out. I'm pretty sure the NCAA games then had dynamic lighting, though that's not a huge deal. The lack of FCS schools though is a big reason I'm not interested in getting a new console to play this game. The old PS2 games had them, albeit without their real stadiums and rosters that only loosely resembled the teams IRL. As for "FCS Midwest", perhaps they were meant to be North Dakota State or South Dakota State which probably should be a 77 overall or possibly better. Also noticed in a screenshot at 7:45 that Coastal Carolina's stadium seems to have generic city buildings when the only building visible from the stadium is the baseball stadium. And to nitpick further, the logo is facing the wrong way as well.
@@donrickles845 I actually found a way to do it. When I was blowing a team out I turned on “chew clock” offense and going into the 4th quarter all my starters were automatically subbed out. Idk if it works every time but it’s the only way I’ve been able to make mass subs so far
Guys, it's the same story with Madden and Fifa. EA are keeping some of the nice, and awesome features for later games. So they give players a reason to buy the game, like. "This year, with new realistic simulations and dynamic weather. Coming in NCAA 26". In FIFA they waited 6 years to give people a coach, sideline simulation. Witch they could have given us many years prior, but they keep some features to keep people hooked.
I think it's a decent game. It's fun at least while acknowledging that there are problems. I agree that Dynasty mode is lacking features from NCAA 14. I really liked create a prospect, it was a cool way to try to build up your team quickly, but there was risk too that they would end up playing for a rival.
Think about this a whole gigantic team with massive resources sit around for years and this was the best they could do it just makes me wonder how did we get here why is everything in entertainment so garbage now
Honestly, the fact we have a College Football game after all these years of not having one is huge, and if big enough, can at least attempt to serve as what little competition Madden had post-exclusivity deal like it did in the past, because Madden has been kinda shit in recent years. I am satisfied by the game play for the most park and dynasty for the most part but RTG and the presentation is kinda of a let down it is still a fun and addictive game and way better than madden but it feels they could have done more
I played every NCAA since 2001 and every year it improved, I think this one will over time. Not saying this one doesn’t have its issues, but of the complaints are nit picky I’m my opinion ( I’m sure I’ll take heat for saying that). Give it a year or so, let’s see how it does or doesn’t improve and then we can pick it apart. All the things he mentioned came over time. Just my take.

Gameplay is 🗑️ frozen players constantly. Gameplay broken. Game is definitely a letdown after being overhyped.
Every time I see someone critique this game some people in the fanbase get their panties in a bunch. The game has issues that need to be addressed and is also missing content from previous titles. If you guys carry this mentality of "oh you are making a big deal out of nothing" do not be surprised if this game does turns into another Madden. The devs actually listen to the fans. Please express your concerns with the game rrgardless of how you feel.

for me i’m just glad the gameplay is a significant improvement from madden. i think that was their biggest focus for this game. other than that basically everything is an upgrade from ncaa 14. obviously the lack of sunset dynamics is extremely disappointing, but i’m optimistic for the future of the game

Man big letdown there’s no way they tested road to glory. As a receiver your team won’t call timeouts to kick a field goal. They will just let the clock run out. As a cb anytime your cpu does something dumb they aim so u can’t replay it😂. As a CB if you look thru the play history it’ll say your player is returning punts. But it’s unplayable for the user. And they give you an 84 speed. It costs 10 skill points to upgrade then you get a whopping 85 speed! AS A CORNERBACK. No wr or corner has a speed that low which will cause u to get burnt every time. And the cpu will not throw it if u cover well. Man this game

I think EA did a great job getting their crap together and making a great football game for the first time in a good decade. This could be a top 5 EA football game of all time
Yeah people are just entitled little cry babies. It took a massive amount of resources to get everything licensed. And they completely overhauled gameplay. It's 10x better then madden. The fight songs, stadiuk crowds etc are all fantastic.
Sure I'd love a deeper and better dynasty. I miss the trophy room and instant classics. But it's the first game in this new series.

The game had been disappointing on cpu miss easy tackle, too many broken tackles on offense, or after a pick. It takes too long for your players to sign on to your team on the road to glory
I like the sim engine. Gives other schools the opportunity to come up. Is it realistic no but it’s fun to see temple ranked in year 4
Havent played madden in 9 years. Tried Flutie max was trash. But not letdown this far. Will not buy Madden. License needs to end.
Thank you for making this vid! Game is a complete disappointment. It's not trash, but I expected way better. How do we not have things like a Performance Mode or Progressive Lighting in 2024 on a Next Gen Only game that they had years to develop? Really EA? Don't even get me started on the lame Halftime Show with no highlights from other games.. The graphics are even lackluster (PS2 looking crowd models & cheerleaders during gameplay, etc.) Then there's the player clipping post play (player's stepping through bodies lying on the field, players rolling through the legs of other players, feet & limbs fusing the through body parts when getting up from tackles, etc. Kills immersion! NCAA 14 was a deeper game smh.

I will say this it’s getting non college football fans like me into maybe I will start watching more college ball now. It’s also year 1 basically so I think they have a lot they can do in next year’s game.

Great observations and insights. I agree with your comments. I’m happy there is finally a college game and the game play is good. However, the background features are underwhelming.
This is part of why I didn't keep up with consoles after the PS2 ran its string out. I'm pretty sure the NCAA games then had dynamic lighting, though that's not a huge deal. The lack of FCS schools though is a big reason I'm not interested in getting a new console to play this game. The old PS2 games had them, albeit without their real stadiums and rosters that only loosely resembled the teams IRL. As for "FCS Midwest", perhaps they were meant to be North Dakota State or South Dakota State which probably should be a 77 overall or possibly better.
Also noticed in a screenshot at 7:45 that Coastal Carolina's stadium seems to have generic city buildings when the only building visible from the stadium is the baseball stadium. And to nitpick further, the logo is facing the wrong way as well.

@@donrickles845 I actually found a way to do it. When I was blowing a team out I turned on “chew clock” offense and going into the 4th quarter all my starters were automatically subbed out. Idk if it works every time but it’s the only way I’ve been able to make mass subs so far

Guys, it's the same story with Madden and Fifa. EA are keeping some of the nice, and awesome features for later games. So they give players a reason to buy the game, like. "This year, with new realistic simulations and dynamic weather. Coming in NCAA 26". In FIFA they waited 6 years to give people a coach, sideline simulation. Witch they could have given us many years prior, but they keep some features to keep people hooked.
They used to do alot better job at the shadows in NCAA

I think it's a decent game. It's fun at least while acknowledging that there are problems. I agree that Dynasty mode is lacking features from NCAA 14. I really liked create a prospect, it was a cool way to try to build up your team quickly, but there was risk too that they would end up playing for a rival.

The most unrealistic thing about this game is at 11:54! No way Miami has a full stadium and the stadium pulse meter is full 😂
Think about this a whole gigantic team with massive resources sit around for years and this was the best they could do it just makes me wonder how did we get here why is everything in entertainment so garbage now
Honestly, the fact we have a College Football game after all these years of not having one is huge, and if big enough, can at least attempt to serve as what little competition Madden had post-exclusivity deal like it did in the past, because Madden has been kinda shit in recent years.
Of course, my go to school is ranked #16 and has an all-American WR on its roster, so…🐻⬇️

Dynasty mode is beyond words at this point. That thing is as bare bones as a mobile game. wtf is going on at EA? This is a real question, not a joke.
I am satisfied by the game play for the most park and dynasty for the most part but RTG and the presentation is kinda of a let down it is still a fun and addictive game and way better than madden but it feels they could have done more

I played every NCAA since 2001 and every year it improved, I think this one will over time. Not saying this one doesn’t have its issues, but of the complaints are nit picky I’m my opinion ( I’m sure I’ll take heat for saying that). Give it a year or so, let’s see how it does or doesn’t improve and then we can pick it apart. All the things he mentioned came over time. Just my take.
