Fantastic reel I have the old ones in size 500 and 1000 still as smooth as the day I bought them I have the vanquish 2500s 2019 that's something else 🔥🎣
Hi, the fact that the bow doesn't close completely straight away without making the locking sound, in my opinion can be a problem: if it should inadvertently close while casting with a heavy bait, the top of the rod could break if we are casting in the high limit. It happened to me with a feeder rod while casting 100g: the rod tip snapped.
Hi Andrew. Great review! Would you by chance be able to recommend a 80g rod for river spinning for Pike? I plan the Rheine deep and fast flow. From the bank..... @2.75 meters or longer. Many thanks
thank you for the good and quality review. i'm also a daiwa fanboy although i think shimano is right next to daiwa and they compete. up to 100 dollars i think daiwa wins as best buy. shimano up to 100 dollars, I complain about the weight of the reel, but it is supposedly easier to service and its parts are more available. ok 1. daiwa fuego is a great reel up to 100 dollars. which daiwa would be next for the price that is better and has advantages without being too expensive? that is, which daiwa reel is the best buy after fuego? 2. what is the difference between fuego and freams? 3. thanks for the recommendation for the tegmen, great small and light rell
@@AndrewsKnots thank you very much for your reply. is the caldia cs mq worth double the price of the fuego for ultra light? (sorry, I was thinking of a reel for UL, where precision, low startup inertia, firmness without swaying and similar are important to me)
And by the way Shimano is not by daiwa, wether you like it or not Shimano is way superior and you can see it by the quantity of Shimano reels that are way too old and still working absolutely fine, can't say that about daiwas and sorry but is the truth
@@mojondro a strange and stupid situation is actually happening here.. legalis/fuego 2000 have a great metallic sound, while legalis 2500 and ninja 3000 are barely audible.. I don't know why that is.. btw, ultegra have some plastic sound
@@AndrewsKnots thanks for that, I couldn't find anything that small but thought it was worth asking. I've not spent that much money on a reel before so want to be sure before I purchase. Unfortunately the two links you posted are both sold out so I'll have to look elsewhere

Good to know! Thanks.

Yeah, it's best to remove that crack sound making parts.
my two cents, mgl = magnum lite = ci4 not magnesium.
Thanks for the correction.
Ci4 is a Shimano proprietary carbon fiber plastic mixture
The halv stop in the bail will be a problem if it comes back in the middle of the cast.
Old news. Thanks.

The only that meets the requirements/gets close is this one andrewknots.com/r/SeabedRod1
@@AndrewsKnots many thanks Andrew!
Which reel would you use on Crazy Fish Arion ASR862MLS ? Thank you
Don't have the rod in question.
Perfect reel for the Purelure Dance
Depends as there are more than one Purelure called something something DANCE.
@@AndrewsKnots the flight dance, the new one. I think you reviewed it

1. Depending on the size needed it would be Caldia CS MQ or Caldia SW MQ.
2. They are very similar.
3. Yes, true.
Thanks

Hi Andrew, Great review as always, I'm considering a Vanford 500 for a SUL 0.3-3g set up. What Daiwa reels would you consider in this price range?
I'm not aware of any sub 150 g. Daiwas that cost around $200.

If you want super light & small & high-end, then there is a Soare also andrewknots.com/r/SoareXR1
not high end .. its more in the under mid budget .. great reel tho
Can't hear someone talking about price ranges within this video. Thanks.
Honestly, I know nothing from this review.
Sorry for wasting your valuable time.
nowhere near high end but clearly not garbage.
Cool. Thanks for sharing.
