How to Make Fluffy Icing

This video was created as a baking tutorial for middle school students.
Fluffy Icing
Ingredients:
3 ½ cups Confectioner’s Sugar
1 cup shortening
½ tsp. Salt
¼ cup Water
1 Tbsp. Corn Syrup (Warm)
1 tsp. Vanilla
Procedure:
• Combine confectioner’s sugar, shortening, and salt into the mixing bowl. Beat together using the paddle attachment on low speed for 10-15 seconds until the mixture is combined.
• Next while the mixer is on a low to medium speed, add the water, vanilla, and the warmed corn syrup. Mix on medium speed 10-15 seconds. Stop the mixer scrape the bowl very well and then continue mixing on a high speed until frosting is fluffy.
