Agreed! Well balanced and still clear on the soli sections plus exposure of all orchestral components. The challenges and unique character of a valveless horn in the high baroque (or even the classical period) creates a truly captivating effect. I first heard this on the radio and thought it had to be from the early classical era (i.e. pre Mozart; like a Salieri or C.P.E. Bach [Harmonically, not in terms of orchestration]).I am amazed at well he captures the sacred human condition in sound.
