So I had a good relationship with this realtor and as I turn the corner onto the street of the home in question, that is her listing, I see about 15 houses down a roof that is curled so bad they are like bowls. I think that is not the house I'm going to because this realtor would not have anything to do with a property like that. Well that was the house. I'm thinking they have already worked that out because this is so obvious. Turns out this was the first house in a four house domino and if this one falls through she looses four commissions and she is desperate financially. "And besides the roof was not leaking." So I never heard from her again. I'm sure her version did not mention the shingles were curled up like big brittle tortilla chips. At least I did not have to buy a roof.

Oh No! Sorry to hear that but as I'm sure you agree with, its infinitely more important to stay true to your profession and your fiduciary role for your client - I hate when we inspect a house that isn't in the greatest shape and we know both the buyer's realtor and the seller's realtor who are both referal sources for us. I think at the end of the day the only solace is that if we stay true to ourselves and put all clients first, we eventually attract realtors who do the same.
