    Could you please explain why hip measurements are not included. I've wasted well over $200 buying raw denim that I can't pull above my lower glutes.

      They provide a hemming service included with the purchase of a pair of jeans for no extra cost. Just include in the comments. You probably know this by now but it's pretty common for these companies to mass produce a jean in one length then allow the customer to choose the length they prefer.

    • @JoeyDecay
      @JoeyDecay 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kaine3805I'm 6' and I'm technically a 30" inseam. There's a lot of guys over 6' at the wearhouse and still have to cuff their jeans. I'd say you're probably over 6'6" if you need something longer.

    If I order a Size: 31 is the waist going to be 33"?

    • @JoeyDecay
      @JoeyDecay 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the fit and fabric. But usually that's how it works. Just check the measurements for every fit or fabric to make sure. I've had to get a tag size 29 for a 32" waist before. So always check.

    When buying online is the option to buy the tag size or waist size?

    • @JoeyDecay
      @JoeyDecay 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You buy the tag size that has yr waist size underneath. This may vary depending on each fit or fabric. I usually get a 30 tag size in weird guy which is a 32" waist most of the time, but not always, in easy guy for a 32" waist I've had to get a 29. But sometimes a 30 can be 31" or 31.5" so check every time and always order the tag size with your correct waist measurement in the measurements table.

    Should I size up one size because of shrinkage?

    • @Ives1776
      @Ives1776 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      From what I hear you need to size right on to down because the jeans stretch overtime.

    • @JoeyDecay
      @JoeyDecay 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Only if they are unsanforized. They will have a pre and post soak measurement. Other that that use your true waist size. Don't size down thinking they will stretch, you will just be uncomfortable. I usually buy whatever is a 32" waist and that's even a little extra room. Just order the size based of yr most comfortable fitting pair of jeans.

    • @JoeyDecay
      @JoeyDecay 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Ives1776no this is not correct. Bahzad has said this multiple times. This is a myth in raw denim land. I have multiple pairs of Japanese raw denim jeans and I always buy them in a 32" waist. This provides more room in the waist and more comfortable fit. Unless you want to be uncomfortable and struggling to put yr jean on, go with the normal size. It's still just cotton and wearing pants that are too small will put a lot of stress on them and they will just rip faster.

    • @Ives1776
      @Ives1776 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JoeyDecay got some pants in a size too big once and it was genuinely the most uncomfortable pair I've ever had. I carry a-lot of stuff on my belt and in my pockets so oversizing is a really stupid idea for me.
      And I don't struggle to get my pants on because I don't go for slimmer fits.
      I haven't really tested the sizing down technique but sizing right on to a slight bit tight is way better then too big.

  • @Ives1776

    With those instructions I have a 14 inch waist, that is definitely not accurate since I wear Wranglers size 29. lol
    Edit: Just watched another video explaining it, basically just take that 14 inches and go 14 X 2 = 28

    • @fieldroaster21
      @fieldroaster21 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Same. They could've mentioned that because their own sizing chart doesn't have the "waist" measurements they say to take!

    • @lukestrickling4950
      @lukestrickling4950 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    A fabric with stretch should not be compared to a fabric without stretch.
    I can fit into a 29 or 30 of AG because they have stretch. My raw denim size is moreso 32

    Ridiculous how hard it is to locate a retailer with descent stock selection ( Multi SKU) of this brand who is not going to rape you in shipping and return shipping as you try your hardest to figure out which of their " fit styles" you want to invest a COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS into!!!
    Of course one would prefer to grab the three common Fit Styles ( or more) and confirm what your fit style is and return the two or one that isn't you.
    But OMG the one place that has descent stock Multi SKU only offers in store credit for returns WTF?!?! and doesn't handle return shipping Insane !!
    The store locator on their website shows few and those generally carry like one off ass SKU like chinos or some crap SKU or just a few random SKUs .. WTF ??

  • @Furrypigs101

    I'm pretty sure that's not how you measure the waist. Waist is a circumference measurement. Not a diameter.

    • @XernealHD
      @XernealHD 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You just double it to get the circumference

    • @Furrypigs101
      @Furrypigs101 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      QubicMeter That’s not correct. Your thinking of radius. The circumference is the diameter times 3.14(pi). But that won’t give an accurate enough answer. You need to actually measure the circumference of the waist by walking the tape around the edge.

    • @4zxeue
      @4zxeue 4 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      @@Furrypigs101 You're not correct. Measuring the waist stretched flat does not give a diameter measurement. The diameter of the jeans as a circle would give a very different measurement. By measuring it flat and doubling that measurement, you get a very close estimate of the circumference.

    • @JoeyDecay
      @JoeyDecay 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It gives you the literal true length of fabric when you double. That's what matters hopefully yr waist isn't a literal circle...
