- There will be no more new expansion coming to Shadowverse, but Throwback Rotation is still an exciting format to play, especially for those of you who never experienced this meta.
We will go back to 2020 where Ultimate Colosseum was introduced and see how was the meta back then and see what are the best deck to play during the format. Maybe this video might help you finding a deck that is satisfying to play for this Throwback Rotation

I can't wait to play control forest, I was looking through the March 2020 SVO before to get some idea on this format and I immediately fell in love with that decks playstyle

I still have ptsd from playing against it.
I can kinda remember this meta being the one you can keep building board turn after turn and can also clear enemy board with your rush / free evo but there's not that many storm damage or OTK, the most unfair thing is probably valdain leader effect because you can just focus on clearing board and the enemy will slowly die
Ceres spell into ginsetsu on turn 7 was also very hard to answer to
Great meta summary. Loved to play Yokai Shadow this expansion, but i tilted a bit with Kuon highrolls.
Was really hard to respond that card t6, only for the opp drop another in sequence...

I love the idea of playing Ginsetsu! They always struck me as a cool design but I simply wasn’t here for the rotation At the time.
Anyone have any idea what’ll happen with the Resurgent cards? Are they probably going to get deleted or something, people think? I haven’t seen any announcements on that regard, but idk where they would be playable outside of rotation

just wondering, there no portal as far the video goes. Did it not exist at this point or was it just really bad at this meta? I want to lvl my portalcraft lvl if i can.
Portal is listed in the last slide, as one of the crafts that wasn't particularly worth playing in this format. I've seen some people mention that key cards for Blood and Portal got buffed sometime after this rotation ended, and that they might be reasonably playable if those buffs are kept.

Still praying that they do some balance changes, 3 uncompetitive classes is pitiful and otherwise the meta will be way too predictable.
I think Elana was playable, but not better than the top tiers in what it could do. Although it could bully Ambush Sword, lol
Blood i think could try some greedy vengeance aggro still. But gets destroyed by Spell or Yokai with a decent hand.
I think there was also a Control Blood deck aimed to win with Lunatic Aether/Illiya and also played evo cards for Zeus.
Portal i have no clue what they could do. Karula and his support was neat but had no wincon. Artifact was too slow, despite having Augmentation Bestowal.
Puppet lacked support and wasn't that impressive compared to the rest of the meta, even though Zwei and Orchis were good cards, Lishenna that made the deck threatening, rotated.
@@TiagoODuelista Haven's card pool in UC just hurts to watch. All you can muster is an Elana-Ward hybrid, which only gets to Tier 3. There isn't anything else that works, it is absurdly awful.
Blood was the meme class, not because it had the best (funniest) memes, but because it had several decks almost-complete decks but none of them worked. The best you can do is a cheesy Aggro deck, and Wrath has no way to properly close the game which is simply shameful on Cy due to Wrath being supposed to be the focus of UC Blood.
Portal was woefully underpowered across the board. It was like Blood in that you could make more than 1 distinct deck (unlike Haven), yet nothing worked.
Honestly this just reminds us that, despite the powercreep, the past year has been the most balanced SV has ever been. The average meta was like UC, filled with garbage card pools and 2+ classes being unplayable. We can't rely on shit, recicled, predictable metas until Worlds Beyond launches. The game (or at least Throwback Rota) will be dead long before that.
@@EclipseZer0 thing is u cant make all classes to be meta, so are doomed to be shit at any given moment. one expansion blood was broken, in other rune was king while other classes did shit. face it all card games are same, something must be shit for others to shine. as for me all other classes can be total shit if shadow can be king. cant wait for Mid Shadow with Cerb and other op cards to dominate meta
