- We head to Key Largo and Florida Bay Outfitters to try out the 2020 Hobie Mirage Tandem island. After a quick safety briefing we are off and sail across Blackwater Sound, through The Boggies and into Florida Bay as we make our way to Nest Keys, with the wind in our favor in made for a great day sailing in the Florida Keys!

We used to launch near where you did but do not recognize the little beach . Could you please post the location? Thank you!
Awesome, we launched directly behind Florida Bay Outfitters, they are the local Hobie dealer in Key Largo and where we rented the TI. As far as we know they still allow kayakers to launch from their beach at no charge as long as you check in before hand. Also a nice little place to drop a couple of bucks if you need any accessories or a new kayak
@@AppleRob I know the place, what I’m trying to get is the little beach location in Florida Bay. It was kind of deserted with a few boats around.
OK that’s easy, head directly west across Blackwater Sound, go through the bogies and then sail another 5 miles or so west, here it is on Google maps. North Nest Key

A suggestion. Build you a sheet riser so the aft person doesn't have to chew on the sheet lines. I hated it when those things slapped me in the face. I built one and I absolutely love my TI.
I bought a Hobie TI in July. Found your channel last week after getting “twofootitus” and saw you guys were local so I subbed. Glad to see you enjoyed the Hobie TI! Hope to see you on the water sometime!

Hobie's are awesome. In addition to Avocet (which we live on) we have a Hobie 18 Magnum which is a blast to sail! her name is Hobie Wan Kenobi lol!
What app you guys used to monitor your speed?
We use Navionics, it has all the latest charts.
