      Glad you enjoyed the video. Can't beat the TI for some simple fun on the water.

    Great video, and a beautiful family!
    However- parking on top of a Manatee in shallow water with small children aboard is a recipe for disaster.
    Though this one appears comfortable with the entrapment, most are not and will violently extricate themselves, easily resulting in a broken boat and injury to those aboard.

      Ha. Thanks for the comment and the safety warnings....but a few clarifications should help understand the context... The TI was docked and the Manatee moved in for a couple hour nap, then moved on. No entrapment, no kids on the TI at the time. I did stick my selfie stick under the water to capture a few shots. The Manatee comes by the dock a few days each week. A favorite sunny spot for a nap. Fully respect the Manatee and give them a free reign to go where they wish. :-)

    Hi James, I’m actually Thomas James Power: great video! Live in Michigan and mostly sail Lake Michigan or Lake Erie. Have a Compac Eclipse and a Sea Pearl 21. 2022 took the Sea Pearl to Key Largo.
    Downsized from Catalina 30. The Hobie and Wind Rider look like really nice boats… especially for places like Florida Bay. I enjoy just getting out and leisurely pottering around. Did you fabricate the motor mount? Have the same motor on the Sea Pearl. Subscribed to your channel and will check out more of your videos.

      Sorry for the very late reply. Yes I fabricated the motor mount from scratch. You can find additional details on my video feed and in the Hobie forum (search under the Hobie Island open discussion forum), lots of details there.

    Is this stable in rough waters?

    • @seewind
      @seewind  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For me yes. Need to be careful of tidal currents and waves. But overall very stable and hard to capsize.

      This manatee did have a few scars on its back and a cut on the tail flipper. This Manatee comes by the dock a few times a week for a sunny spot to take a nap.... ;-)
