Great video Rob! Thanks for posting. I love these impromptu interviews you do. Very interesting to hear peoples stories and to see the bikes that are special to them. More of this please…!! And Jennifer; Beautiful bike! Congrats! Stay safe.
It’s a bit like that… but far more fluid - ie. not such a rigid format. But I’m chuffed you noticed. Did hundreds of those interviews over the years, and I know every rider (and bike) has a story.
The last of the good tarmacs. Just sold my S-Works SL7 for a big cut off RRP even though it was only 150km old. Jennifer seems like a very logical person. I see her wearing gloves and a neon jersey sooner than later so she is easier to see and if she crashes again her palms will be better.
Nice looking bike the painter definitely did do her a favour regarding the paint job and I feel the same way when it comes to rim breaks but we will not have any choices soon.
Nice story of a lovely bike, and it’s nice to hear the reality that disc brakes are not the ideal option for everyone, and nor for that matter is frame stiffness. Top level racing bikes like the F12 are made for just that, and hopefully manufacturers will see that comfort, or lack thereof, can have more of a negative impact upon peoples’ enjoyment, and perhaps overall performance on a ride than a few more Nm of stiffness. A friend of mine has just bought a top end race bike from one of the major manufacturers, and has had to spec 32mm tyres to make it comfortable enough to ride. 🤷♂️
Beautiful Bike. I ride a Tarmac SL5. Should have purchased an SL6 Rim Brake before they stopped making them. Much like Jennifer, I'm not a Disc Brake fan.
People are more than welcome to ride whatever they like. Too bad it’s a mediocre frameset from a shitty company with a long poor history. But hey, atleast she has rim brakes.

Fantastic Rob. Brings back memories of “bikes from the bunch” .

Beautifully filmed and edited Rob.
Thanks.
(I’m blushing…)

Great you found a cyclist such as JK, very articulate regarding her tech and know what she wants and why...Keep those caliper brakes alive!!!

SL6….the most comfortable road bike. Was also riding domane. But I just love my SL6. But have the disk version…since live in Switzerland
great vlog
I'm in love 🤩
With her or the Bike? Perhaps Both?
Neither p

Not contrived, totally random meeting. Ha ha. I'm going gold leaf my fork interiors and put Goldschläger, neat, in my water bottles from now on.
Size and weight?

I see a narrative to low key shame people for riding rim brake bikes. Cycling journalism is something...
If you are offended by a question/comment like that, I’m not sure what to say.
