It was mentioned that those with the microphone on stage are held to higher standards.Therefore, using the analogy of a Hospital, don't offended or distracted by anything of the ones in the pews next to you, they are patients too. Some more sick than others. The Doctors and/or Nursing Assistants of the Gospel need to show capabilities of deliverance. If they seem sick, we may refuse their help. The goal is Wholeness. Many people have the misconception that appropriate attire for formal events always involves wearing a suit or a long dress. However, it's common sense that one should not wear a T-shirt with inappropriate images 0:28 , jeans hanging off their behind, or a tight dress with a thigh-high slit. Everyone should dress with some level of decency. People know that they need to dress appropriately when going to a religious place like a mosque, so they should apply the same dress code when attending church. Let's stop making excuses and be mindful of our clothing choices.
In this Google generation, people have access to a wealth of information at their fingertips. They can use apps like TikTok to discover fashion trends and decide what to wear. However, there is no excuse for not being informed, as they can easily look up anything they want. They have the option to choose how they want to look, but they can also use their devices to research other things, such as TV shows, video games, or reality TV information. They can also learn how to dress in an appropriate manner.
✨️Most give their heart to Christ but not their lifestyles... "Come as you" ... but if The entire Word of God (beyond the books of Acts) isn't being taught... folk will remain as they are...
If you have the "microphone" & I feel like I have to look away & avert my eyes...there's a problem with your dresscode. I'm one of those sistas that have the factory instaled hips & I have to be careful what I wear upfront at the altar when I work, even when I don't work I don't want to be a distraction to anyone.
I think it should be addressed but not the main topic. Also I notice many of the grievances are geared toward women. I think many women will leave if this continues. The church is coming across as too legalistic againist women in all areas from leadership, pregnancy , marriage, clothes, etc. The biases are outweighing the message of Christ. I'm glad you mentioned that the people with the microphone are held to a higher level. Sometimes it seems as if some pastors are competing with the fellows hanging out on the corner. I was present at a church service (9:00 AM), where the visiting pastor wore a sweatsuit and had his hair twisted. I don't care about his hairstyle, but the sweatsuit was so disrespectful his front was on full display through the flimsy material. It wasn't a good look and I got the impression from how he spoke that it was intentional.
We are living in the end times and the bible is fulfilling itself out. 2 Timothy 4:3. The verse means that people will not tolerate accurate instruction and sound doctrine, but instead will want to have their ears tickled with something pleasing. They will accumulate teachers to support the errors they hold and to satisfy their own desires. The church has lost its focus on the souls and focusing on the unnecessary things. You are so right celebrity mindset has crept into the church The Jezebel spirit is running rapids and the love of many has waxed cold even among the body of Christ. Here's what I never get about people....we can go EVERYWHERE in the world and NEVER complain about dress code, BUT AS SOON as the church or the Shepard of the house say something about dressing people run QUICK to the bible says "come as you are" taking that ALL out of context. Some jobs anf other places will yell u to go home, because you're not dressed APPROPRIATELY. It's one thing when you're new to a church and you don't have much to wear, but work on getting proper church wear. We forget about being our brothers keepers and not doing anything to cause them to struggle. That goes for men with these tight suits, flashy suits, muscle shirts and women with these form-fitting dresses, short dresses, flashy worldly dresses, etc. It distracts. U can't focus on the message because all u see is a man and his print in them tight pants or a female that has a dress so tight u can see ALL her curves and these aren't just lat members, these are folk in leadership. The church is suppose to have standards. Back in the day you could spot a woman. We can STILL walk in the world and spot a Jehovah's witness woman and they don't even believe what we believe. All other religions fall in line with whats taught and not Christians. We want to be so much like the world. The world is drawing us and THAT is why church attendance is falling off. People no longer see the value because church looks like the world. Idk how many services I've sat in and rolled my eyes and have been disappointed at where the church is. Until we come out from among them and be separated, things gonna look like this. People use to want to go to church because their was a CLEAR difference. NOW, the line is blurred and that's why so many prosperity preachers, pastors, apostles, evangelists, etc STEALING folk money in the NAME OF JESUS. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ We gotta come up.
That happened to me for years. I sincerely wanted to be close to Christ but didn't have the right look so I stayed away. God has done so much in my life and holy spirit led to me to changing my clothes and other things. I thank God that a church accepted me and allowed the word to transform me. So many people like me are outside the church because they know the clothes they have aren't good enough.
I believe that there is a dress code given to us through the word of God. However there is a defining difference to this dress code . The Bible calls for modest apparel. Defining modesty has been an issue in the past and now the pendulum seems to be swinging too far the other way. From long dresses all the time to too short, too tight today. Modest I believe is more about respect to me. I don't believe you have to wear a shirt and tie every Sunday but be respectful and clean when you decide to go to the house of God. It doesn't have to be hanging to the floor long but it shouldn't be short enough to make them look. Also don't make coming to the house of God a fashion show, always so dressed up that common folk feel like they can't afford or belong to that particular church. There are several dynamics to this kind of conversation in my opinion and it would take too long for me to explain my points. Just keep it clean and respectful and make sure it doesn't take attention from the God you go to church to serve. Modest. Come as you are.
There is much to be said; HOWEVER, In the old church days any type of non modest dress was dealt with and not ignored. It was addressed from the pulpit and the mothers of the church. There must be a standard and obedience given to the Word of the Lord. I agree with the message whether BBL or whatever Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong. Who do we obey. WELL, SHE did not say STOP them from coming to church, But was merely addressing how far we have gotten from being Christlike that call ourselves SAVED. Not new persons coming into the church at all. There should be a DIFFERENCE.
I don’t have a problem with people who are not 'churched' coming as they are. The situation is different with those who have a strong relationship with the Lord who come into the sanctuary half naked. How can the musicians play while looking at the half naked sister leading the worship team. We must have a higher standard than the world. If you work in an office that has a strict dress code, you will adhere to it or else lose your job. So why is it the church does not have a strict dress code? Dress modestly brothers and sisters, whether you have the mic or not. Sanctify your clothing! If its too tight, too low or too short, it does not belong on the body of Christ. Period. ❤
I can only speak for me. I wanna be able to concentrate on the spirit of God when I come to church we are visual creatures. We don’t need to be seeing things that is only proper when you’re with your husband not when you up before God people stay safe. God bless 29:16

Yes we come as we are because if someone stopped us from coming as we are we may have a change of heart when our heart is set to receive at that moment... but once we believe in Jesus Christ and receive God in our life then we will not stay as we are ... a change will take place from the inside out... when I took on Christ my dress code changed ... because my heart and my mindset changed! so did my talk, my participation in certain things, my friendship, my views, my behavior, my character, and the list goes on and on... because I am no longer the old me I am now new in Christ the old man has died and the new man has arrived and is alive now I have a life in Christ and he leads me, guides me directs me, and teaches, me in the way I must go, the things I must do, the things I must say, the company that I keep, the assembly of myself together with other believers, mindful of the words that I use, not being intoxicated but sober, because this is the Temple of the Holy Ghost... okay enough said... we should dress in modest apparels instead of models appararel... Let's become aware of our dress code as becoming saints of God this may help our brothers and sisters to become less likely to fall ... it may not stop all but it may help some.

If people are not reading the Bible then their lifestyle will reflect it. In this era we are all independently given the opportunity to come to Christ even if you have no church home. The believer who do read and don’t obey will be held accountable for knowing better and still not obey God’s word. We then must focus on being examples of Christ Life Style.
Thanks for this commentary! Saints should dress appropriately...decently and in order... there is a Godly standard! AND we are blessed to do so. When others come, we should not judge, but set examples, and show love. Saints do the fishing, and allow God to do the cleaning! HOWEVER, it IS sometimes hard to engage in worship having to see what some are wearing now. But as my Mom said: look OVER and see Jesus, look AROUND and see Jesus, or close your eyes...and see Jesus! Continue in Kingdom Work🙏
Holiness begins on the inside and shows up on the outside. Then it becomes a lifestyle. We should always allow Holy Spirit to check/cut us when we pick up something in the store that’s inappropriate (man or woman) for us to put on in the first place.

When you're a child of GOD, you will, and you're supposed to dress modest. You dont wear tight dresses or pants. I disagree with you when you said that people were hating on the woman with the horse because they didn't have a good shape and jealous of her. She brought attention to herself with her leggings they were tight and showing off her assest. She can dress however she wants, but she is bringing attention to herself that is not GODLY. I'm not jealous or hating on her. But if you're really truly serving GOD, you will want to dress modestly and appropriately. If you think her dressing is ok. You need to read your bible about dressing. This is what's wrong with the church today. A lot of pastors are turning the other cheek and let the presence of a jezabel come to church dress any way. As for dressing outside of the church. It still stands. You will dress modestly if you're a true follower and lover of JESUS.
The dress code issue is definitely hindering church going, much more than promoting it. It feels like some churches that strive for this look down on others when they don't dress up!

In certain church communities you won't even see this as an issue because they know before they even attempt to walk in unless they want " real " deliverance
There should be a Difference between the Church and the World, in our Speech, in our dressing and in our lifestyle. We need to set an Example. I agree that there should be "MODESTY" in the way we Dress, especially as women whether in Church or out in the Street. But also we should not be JUDGEMENTAL, and Thank GOD that HE accepts People just the way they are, until HE changes them. They should be Welcomed into The HOUSE of THE LORD with open arms, and given the right hand of fellowship. As long as the LORD is being EXALTED, WORSHIPPED and GLORIFIED it should be IMMATERIAL in the way the Individual is Dressed. This is my Humble Opinion!!

Uhm,...just to clarify, a BBL isn't just "a little butt lift." Here's a clinical definition: "A Brazilian butt lift is an increasingly popular cosmetic procedure. A Brazilian butt lift increases the size and shape of your butt while removing fat from other areas of your body." When Christian women are rolling up into church with their enhanced butts literally poured into body-con dresses, how could that NOT be seen as an issue and a look unworthy of women of God? I'm confused. The culture of this world has infected the Church so strongly that it's gone WAY past concerning.

She is dressed for the occasion. You are riding a horse so you wear the appropriate clothes. They want the young lady to wear a dress for horse riding. What is wrong with us? Remember about the man that came to the wedding without his wedding garment and he was thrown out of the wedding. We are envious to each other. God Almighty. God looks at the heart!! I think there should be church etiquette, nit necessarily a dress code. Clothing accentuates and brings attention to body parts should be avoided. Everyone knows their body type and should try to avoid causing distracting. That being said, some folk are just lustful and will do so no matter what one has on. Concerning a bbl.... who cares? Also; aged mothers in the church should be teaching the younger women, mothers how to take care of their families, keep their homes up, and dress Holy, now u don't know who's who and showing the people of God everything else that goes with being a wife/mother. A young lady led worship at my church. She is a guest. The way this young lady dresses is NOT provocative rather she dresses like she just rolled out of bed and put on something that was on the floor in the corner. Now. I don't believe you need to be dressed to the nines, but I do believe you need to have some respect for yourself. When I was raised, the mothers would say something to you. Please just look clean. The minister of music should have some standards for guests.
Attendance down cause there is no power in the church. the word has been watered down which dilutes the power of God, the Bible says the gospel is the power of God!!! So if the word is not being preached, there is no conviction, which means no repentance, which means no true conversion. Plus preachers don’t pray AT ALL which is the #1 cause of diluted power and diluted word when being preached! Praise and worship is definitely diluted. I commend you for recognizing her need for Christ. I hope that someone led her to Christ and let her know she is loved and forgiven in Christ. I am surprised that no one thought of this. We need discernment. Kirk has been in here too long to get a pass. It is not so much whether or not clothing is an issue. It matters if you are standing in the way of Christ because all they see is you. To who much is given much is required. Why do we think God accepts anything when in a corporate environment there is a dress code. Lastly, this video failed to address the fact that this woman said she slept with most of the pastors, bishops, elders, and ministers. The Lord knows them that are his.

Please stop making excuses for Christians to dress how they want forgetting the conviction of the Holy Spirit. That's not taking our focus of the Gospel it is a part of the Gospel else the scripture would not have addressed it. God is concerned about our heart attitude & how we communicate to others. It's like allowing someone to continue with little lies or cussing until it grew. When you allow or not be concerned so much about inappropriate dressing you open the door wide for lust , fornication, adultery, etc. Addressing someone about their dress code is not an excuse for them to call it church hurt. The standard must be set high for body of Christ. Don't expect everyone to be happy about it, however, they should be addressed in the Spirit of love not condoning or allowing loophole for sin to grow. It's not the church decision, the Bible talks about modesty. The church is not The Most HighGod, it's His thoughts and ways, not ours. And people who say their believers in Christ should not be alterating their bodies! If you are a new creature, who and what are you getting a BBL for? I was always brought up to always wear your Sunday best. And never wear anything inappropriate, as it should be.
We should be striving for Holiness. The Word is very clear about that.

It's one thing when you're new to a church and you don't have much to wear, but work on getting proper church wear. We forget about being our brothers keepers and not doing anything to cause them to struggle. That goes for men with these tight suits, flashy suits, muscle shirts and women with these form-fitting dresses, short dresses, flashy worldly dresses, etc. It distracts. U can't focus on the message because all u see is a man and his print in them tight pants or a female that has a dress so tight u can see ALL her curves and these aren't just lat members, these are folk in leadership. The church is suppose to have standards. Back in the day you could spot a woman. We can STILL walk in the world and spot a Jehovah's witness woman and they don't even believe what we believe. All other religions fall in line with whats taught and not Christians. We want to be so much like the world. The world is drawing us and THAT is why church attendance is falling off. People no longer see the value because church looks like the world. Idk how many services I've sat in and rolled my eyes and have been disappointed at where the church is. Until we come out from among them and be separated, things gonna look like this. People use to want to go to church because their was a CLEAR difference. NOW, the line is blurred and that's why so many prosperity preachers, pastors, apostles, evangelists, etc STEALING folk money in the NAME OF JESUS. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ We gotta come up.
That happened to me for years. I sincerely wanted to be close to Christ but didn't have the right look so I stayed away. God has done so much in my life and holy spirit led to me to changing my clothes and other things. I thank God that a church accepted me and allowed the word to transform me. So many people like me are outside the church because they know the clothes they have aren't good enough.
I believe that there is a dress code given to us through the word of God. However there is a defining difference to this dress code . The Bible calls for modest apparel. Defining modesty has been an issue in the past and now the pendulum seems to be swinging too far the other way. From long dresses all the time to too short, too tight today. Modest I believe is more about respect to me. I don't believe you have to wear a shirt and tie every Sunday but be respectful and clean when you decide to go to the house of God. It doesn't have to be hanging to the floor long but it shouldn't be short enough to make them look. Also don't make coming to the house of God a fashion show, always so dressed up that common folk feel like they can't afford or belong to that particular church. There are several dynamics to this kind of conversation in my opinion and it would take too long for me to explain my points. Just keep it clean and respectful and make sure it doesn't take attention from the God you go to church to serve. Modest. Come as you are.

There is much to be said; HOWEVER, In the old church days any type of non modest dress was dealt with and not ignored. It was addressed from the pulpit and the mothers of the church. There must be a standard and obedience given to the Word of the Lord. I agree with the message whether BBL or whatever Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong. Who do we obey.

I don’t have a problem with people who are not 'churched' coming as they are. The situation is different with those who have a strong relationship with the Lord who come into the sanctuary half naked. How can the musicians play while looking at the half naked sister leading the worship team. We must have a higher standard than the world. If you work in an office that has a strict dress code, you will adhere to it or else lose your job. So why is it the church does not have a strict dress code? Dress modestly brothers and sisters, whether you have the mic or not. Sanctify your clothing! If its too tight, too low or too short, it does not belong on the body of Christ. Period. ❤

Yes we come as we are because if someone stopped us from coming as we are we may have a change of heart when our heart is set to receive at that moment... but once we believe in Jesus Christ and receive God in our life then we will not stay as we are ... a change will take place from the inside out... when I took on Christ my dress code changed ... because my heart and my mindset changed! so did my talk, my participation in certain things, my friendship, my views, my behavior, my character, and the list goes on and on... because I am no longer the old me I am now new in Christ the old man has died and the new man has arrived and is alive now I have a life in Christ and he leads me, guides me directs me, and teaches, me in the way I must go, the things I must do, the things I must say, the company that I keep, the assembly of myself together with other believers, mindful of the words that I use, not being intoxicated but sober, because this is the Temple of the Holy Ghost... okay enough said... we should dress in modest apparels instead of models appararel... Let's become aware of our dress code as becoming saints of God this may help our brothers and sisters to become less likely to fall ... it may not stop all but it may help some.

Saints should dress appropriately...decently and in order... there is a Godly standard! AND we are blessed to do so. When others come, we should not judge, but set examples, and show love. Saints do the fishing, and allow God to do the cleaning! HOWEVER, it IS sometimes hard to engage in worship having to see what some are wearing now. But as my Mom said: look OVER and see Jesus, look AROUND and see Jesus, or close your eyes...and see Jesus! Continue in Kingdom Work🙏

These men show up in church with extra tight clothes and do not tuck in their groin part, and I don't see or hear pastors discussing THAT.

I agree holiness is an internal process that has an external manifestation...not just in how we dress but in every area of a child of God life.
Holiness begins on the inside and shows up on the outside. Then it becomes a lifestyle. We should always allow Holy Spirit to check/cut us when we pick up something in the store that’s inappropriate (man or woman) for us to put on in the first place.

I think there should be church etiquette, nit necessarily a dress code. Clothing accentuates and brings attention to body parts should be avoided. Everyone knows their body type and should try to avoid causing distracting. That being said, some folk are just lustful and will do so no matter what one has on.

A young lady led worship at my church. She is a guest. The way this young lady dresses is NOT provocative rather she dresses like she just rolled out of bed and put on something that was on the floor in the corner. Now. I don't believe you need to be dressed to the nines, but I do believe you need to have some respect for yourself. When I was raised, the mothers would say something to you. Please just look clean. The minister of music should have some standards for guests.

So if the word is not being preached, there is no conviction, which means no repentance, which means no true conversion.
