    It sounds like a VTwin! Crazy how they made it sound like that!

    I have the same burgundy color too, love it. That exhaust probably wakes up all my neighbors lol, need to get one for mine as well.

      I just learned that a company makes a decatted pipe kit for the 1100, no other mods or tunes necessary they state. May not increase power that much, but it sure will change the sound. So instead of paying $400 or so USD, I'm going to decat my factory pipes, since I don't have any noise restriction where I live.

    Love that sound!!! First video I found that took out the baffle. Would be nice if got the before and after sound.... Thanks for sharing this video. Will do the same on my rebel c",)

      I just recently put in a Shorty GP on the bike, they run about $65 which isn't bad, i will post a video with that pipe on.

    David that sounds great. Question, I am adding a double custom seat and want your advice if you think I should add or upgrade to a longer shock because of the added weight?

    • @SgtBurn
      @SgtBurn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The factory front and rear shocks are adjustable, put a zip tie on the shaft of the shock so you can see how far it traveled, play with the adjustments, if it bottoms out even after adjusting all the way, go with the longer shocks, but it may also make it sit higher.

    Hi there in the UK. so can I remove the fibre glass wadding and put the baffle and end cap back in to alter the sound??? However if it is TOO loud can the wadding be put back in. Thank you. Great bike I love mine.

    • @SgtBurn
      @SgtBurn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the late reply, yes you can, aslong as you don't destroy it on the way out. I used a long flat screw driver to remove the melted glue.

      Cannot seem to remove the end cap. How difficult did you find it and what did you do to make it easier please. Cheers.

    I am reading that there isn't a baffle on it on the forums. What am i missing?

    I have 2 questions. Is the DCT the automatic and what exhaust is that. I just got my motorcycle permit and the Honda rebel 1100 is what I want but I don't know which one is the automatic

    • @SgtBurn
      @SgtBurn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The DCT is the automatic, stands for Dual Clutch Transmission. DCTs are used in performance cars such as the challengers and chargers with the bigger 8cyl engines. DCTs in nature are very quick to shift. They have two clutches, one clutch holds even gears while the other holds odd gears, so the next gear is ready to go.
      The exhaust i'm currently using is the Shorty GP with no baffle. Ran me about $65. There are ones that come with a removable baffle, but who needs a baffle.
      Also the Rebel Is amazingly easy to handle, i recomend since you're just starting off, to get used to the bike have it in rain mode, because if you used sport mode before you're ready, you will have to hold on tight.

      @@SgtBurn thank you so much🙏🙏 I was recommended a lot to use the Honda rebel 1100 cause it's a good beginner bike and since I want a harley but dont have the income for one, this makes it sound like a harley and I love that so I may stick with it fir a while

    • @SgtBurn
      @SgtBurn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome, its a great bike, very fast, many mod styles for it, and has alot of power. Most bike are high compression, so run mid to premium fuel.

    • @douglasowen3813
      @douglasowen3813 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SgtBurn will do, since it's only a 3.3 gallon tank, gas won't cost me a lot unlike my truck which is diesel

    • @SgtBurn
      @SgtBurn  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@douglasowen3813 True, and it lasts alot longer on rain and standard mode vs sport mode, but thats probably a givin. Check out my new video of me reving the bike.

    is it much of a job to remove the baffle don't understand what the fiber glass bit is

    • @ShikiKaze
      @ShikiKaze 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fiber glass is used as sound deadening material, It's cheap and absorbs sound pretty well.

    • @Spartacus673
      @Spartacus673 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So is it the fiber glass you remove is that the baffle

    • @SgtBurn
      @SgtBurn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You unbolt the end piece, give it a few taps with a mallet to help it loose, then pull it out. You'll see a tube with a bunch of holes, that is the baffle, it can be unbolted. The fiber glass is the is the stuff surrounding the baffle used as a sound deading material, you'll see it in there when you pull it out. I had to use a long screw driver to dislodge/unstick it. Then just pull it out. You can put it back together with or without the baffle and see how it sounds. It's a pretty easy job, it can be done with the pipe sill on the bike.

    • @Spartacus673
      @Spartacus673 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you put the fiberglass back in without the baffle

    • @SgtBurn
      @SgtBurn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, i left it out, And just put the end cap back on by it's self.
