- How to remove voice typing from Android keyboard? In this tutorial, I show you how to turn off or disable voice typing on your Android Gboard keyboard. Turning off Google voice typing will remove the mic button on your Android keyboard. Follow the steps below to turn off Google voice typing on Android keyboard:
1. Open the settings on your Android phone or tablet.
2. In the settings select System and then Languages & Input.
3. Then select on-screen keyboard.
4. Select your default keyboard, which should be Gboard.
5. In the Gboard settings, select Voice Typing.
6. Turn off the first option for Use voice typing.
7. You have now turned off voice typing on your Android keyboard.

Never been a problem. The real problem is the voice that speaks EVERYTIMR I HIT A LETTER OR NUMBER, but you dont cover that actual problem

You might’ve accidentally disabled it when cleaning out your Android device. Enable it again and then you can do it
It does not show on-screen keyboard in languages & input, it shows virtual keyboard instead
Go into your settings, click on "Apps & Notifications", then click on "See all (insert number here) apps", then scroll down to "Gboard" and enable it. NOW, you will have the option to turn on Gboard. I accidentally turned mine off on my new moto g stylus 2021.

I really hope it works because my voice typing thing just started popping up for no apparent reason. I can't get it off my screen once it is there and I have to turn my phone off to get the dumb thing to get off my screen. Thanks for the help.
Straight Talk's Monday they put in her get rid of Straight Talk and get rid of mites they shut me completely off after I get paid to to Porsches last night cuz I thought maybe ticket in all this stupid robots to get rid of the robots get rid of them

i have Huawei Y6 2018 android phone, there is no other keyboard than Google Voice Typing, I found out that the default virtual keyboard is only Google Voice typing which is Automatic, my problem is I want to install Gboard on my phone, will you tell me what to do to solve my problem. I hope you answer this because my phone has become useless!!! I have done what many have said should work, but it just will NOT let me turn off voice/audio typing. Where the slider appears to turn it off, it is grayed out and it will not move. FWIW, it has a designation that says "Legacy". HELP!!!
Had exact same problem. My fix was; enable gboard in settings\apps , then go to contacts, add new contact, click on 1st name - this shows the onscreen keyboard, click the dot dots (settings)\microphone icon (on the top right), & disable it (settings\voice typing\dont use voice typing - can finally slide it across. Done. Hope this may help others.
In many cases, though, downloading the keyboard worked, but the slider to enable it was grayed out. In the case of the audiotyping, the slider to disable it was grayed out. @@badass2550

I had a problem but I was told buy Google I have to take of the incognito mode in my Nokia c 30 I try all these but it never worked I get instructions how to take it off when I try I could not put in my pin and it was not accepting voice typing this made me very frustrated I then try last thing reset all my apps the screen told me is only app so I won't lose no thing so I try it and it made me happy all I had to do is send back a new picture to what's up

This Video did not help me, as I lost my Virtual Keyboard. (To Google Speech) However, it did put me on the right track to download a new Virtual keyboard. Used WA for Windows to copy a link which I was able to open from WA on my phone.

My keyboard is missing I have been hacked by an organization that crosses state lines they require me to speak anyting that I am typing and I believe it's to get my voice pattern so that they can use it for deviant memes I am a 68 year old female living alone and this is elder abuse
I don't know how to get this Google talk to speak it's taking up half of my screen
So I can't get this tap to speak off it's taking up half my screen and so it won't even let me finish trying to get the Google talk off of my phone so I don't know what to do can you please tell me how to get that Google tap to speak off my screen so then I can complete getting rid of tap to speak

yall lucky you can even type, Motorola android 12 is now only voice typing, you cannot remove it, you cannot type, and cherry on the cake, you can't even voice type in google play
so it's either motorola's fault or tracfone's fault
