    I just want to thank you for making this video!
    Force-A-Nature desperately needed a proper analysis video like this, cause for the longest time I felt like everyone in this community only saw this as an underpowered gimmick weapon

      You're very welcome, one of the main reasons for making this video was to show the amount of potential the Force A Nature has and not just being a "funny haha environmental kill weapon"

      I am a new player to the game and when I saw that knockback is a downside, I was confused, but I chose to play it and I LOVED it. I never used a weapon like this but somehow I instantly learnt how to Flank without a guide.

    Someone who finally understands. Everyone saying it's trash because of the damage capabilities, but the strength comes in its mobility, not the damage. Sure the winger and atomizer give you mobility but not as much of it as the force a nature. This weapon is not trash, it's heavily misunderstood.

    Great video!
    Although I'm surprised you didn't talk about running any of the three pistols with the FaN.
    As a FaN Enjoyer myself, I often use the Winger with it, the extra jump height is a plus for flanking, the extra damage really helps with the issue of sending your enemy flying, since you've probably already done around 113~ damage with a meatshot.
    Stock pistol is great if you want a semi consistent close range weapon if you get caught out while reloading your FaN and need some damage now.
    The Pretty boy's is well, usually the best overall, and is like a combination of the stock pistol and winger, while it works in a similar vein of the winger FaN combo but instead of dealing more damage with your pistol, you're dishing it out faster, and because of the increased fire rate it works well as a last resort defense tool like the stock pistol.

    • @Nerd_Sauce
      @Nerd_Sauce  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah you're probably right, I just thought covering the pistols would be a little too basic and boring but I should have given them a shout out though

      considering how once they're shot back you'll do really low damage and projectiles like the "totally not coom" and "The F U N N Y combo" are hard to aim and pistols are best at longer ranges its a good idea.

    One other thing you forgot to mention is the 50% fire rate bonus, like you did mention it in the video but i think the main reason why it has +50% fire rate is so if you do get a meatshot and the enemy is knocked back the increased fire rate allows you to follow up with a second shot without losing too much damage, while this is less effective against lighter units like scout, sniper, spy etc one meatshot from a force a nature can still leave them at very low health while on heavier units like heavy, demo etc the knockback is less effective and since they have larger than average hitboxes you can follow up with another meatshot easier too. I lied one last thing, unlike the scattergun, the force a nature and soda popper have a much much faster reload meaning you can technically go longer in a fight than with the scattergun since the scattergun reload when empty takes forever

    Also, there are a few other things about the FaN. It’s really good for denying objectives too such as payloads, points, etc, and I’ve found to be a really good team weapon. Personally, coming from a person who doesn't play TF2 (only have a laptop built for work and not so much for gaming), I could see this as a way to destroy Engineer Nests, working alongside a Sniper and a Spy. Especially when attacking on some of the Payload Final points and a Group of 3 Engineers, some Snipers, and a Pybro are making classes like Soldier, Demoman, and Heavy useless unless you have an Uber push from a Medic, which takes time, time you may not have.
    The Force-a-Nature Scout can knock the Engineers, the Snipers, and the Pybro out of position and, because positioning is key for them, makes them weaker and easy Sniper targets, while the Spy quickly saps all the Engineers' buildings.
    The Super Special Sniper, Scout, and Spy Squad. The SSSSS Squad! Wait, that's taken already.

    Funny enough, both the FaN and sodapopper excel at flank playstyles. The Sodapopper makes flanking easier when you get hype and doesn't require a corner or wall to guarantee the kill, but the FaN is more consistent in flankability making it somewhat more consistent when getting behind the enemy.

    Awesome video reminds me of Uncle Dane edu-tainment. Great Earthbound reference. I think you just need a clearer microphone and (possibly) better render and recording settings?
    edit: also think you could have ended on a more conclusive note. Something as simple as a wrap up of what you said would be nice.

    • @Nerd_Sauce
      @Nerd_Sauce  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's actually pretty funny since I use a Blue Yeti Microphone which is top notch in quality, the actual problem with my mic quality is the fact that I'm super close to it when I record, so I'll try and stay farther away when recording. I usually try and have the best possible render settings and sometimes Premiere Pro decides to be a bit screwy, I'll have to research this more as I am semi-new to it. I do agree, in hindsight I should have put a conclusion statement instead of just saying "Anyways I'm Nerd Sauce... and that's a wrap!" Thank you so much for your criticism and I will absolutely keep this in mind when I make my next video!

    • @issaccoltman6249

      @@Nerd_Sauce I recommend on the microphone end turning down the gain on the front and keeping close to the microphone. Try to keep the gain as high as possible without your voice peaking while being close. Because of the "Proximity Effect," the result will have more low bass frequencies, which to modern ears generally sounds better.

  • @KingKayro87

    You seem to forget the most powerful flank combo there is, a loadout that I call "The Infiltrator"
    1) Force-a-Nature
    2) Winger
    3) Fan O' War
    The Winger and the Force-a-Nature combined create a wacky weapon mixture that allows for The Master Flank. Two ridiculously high jumps followed by a third Force Jump means you can go anywhere to get behind the enemy. Once you're successfully behind the enemy, you smack them with the Fan O' War, whip out the Force-a-Nature, and blast away! Enemy has been deleted!
    For calculations, that's 9 damage from the Fan, 152 from the FaN, and that results in a whopping 161. You then use the Winger and fire off a few shots, and do 23 to 35 damage per bullet, of which there's five in the clip, so if you unload the whole clip, that's 115 to 175 damage. Technically, you would only need 4 shots from the Winger to finish off a Heavy, 2 for the Soldier, just 1 for Demo and Pyro, and only the Force-a-Nature shot for all other classes. Absolutely insane damage in only about 5 seconds!

    @aintnobetterthan 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    as someone with nearly 1k hours on FaN alone, i'd have to say i agree yet disagree with the heavy matchup - yes it requires you to hit both your shots perfectly, but what i have found is if you play hyper aggressive (albeit literally TOUCHING the heavy at this point) you can psych out a lot of heavies and completely incapacitate them with the knockback. combine this with the guillotine and wrap assassins bleed you only need 2 mags and the 2x bleed at worst, at best only 1 mag and the bleed will do the rest. its also very environment dependent - yknow try to stick to enclosed areas with lots of walls so as to pin him down (might be counter intuitive trapping yourself in a small box with a heavy but trust me the seemingly high risk play is DEFINITELY WORTH IT). the combo is also probably the best if you really want to dive into that hit and run style as you can confirm kills with any enemies that slip out of your range after the KB with bleed, besides who really uses melee these days xD. seriously tho people get piss scared when they get hit by a single ball. you could kind of turn it into a drinking game how many people run for a health kit after taking such a minute chunk of damage.
    also gotta mention just how well put together this video is, it really shows you know your stuff about the weapon and how to play around its gimmick. i dont think i've seen any others that go into as much depth as you have showing how and where it shines best. really felt you did this weapon justice it deserved.

    This just popped up in my recommended and I think you might've just earned a new subscriber! If I were to give any criticism, a few of the jokes fall flat, the pacing of the video feels a bit odd, and the entirety of the frag compilation seems like it should have an "Unregistered Bandicam" watermark on it but the core structure and editing of the video is really solid. Hope to see you improve and hopefully you blow up soon, because this is some damn quality content from such a small channel.
    Also your Aussie FaN looks like it's spray-painted yellow, just use MasterComfig to get more FPS instead of -dxlevel parameters (I assume that's why your using it), when playing on your own it's fine, but stuff like that can get pretty distracting in videos so at the very least use DX 9 when you plan to record.

    Scouts pistols are even better secondaries to the FaN than they are the Scatter gun in my opinion. They do a lot to mitigate the all or nothing play style of the FaN and while not as stylish, still combo just as well as the cleaver with juggled targets.

    Opinions on pairing with a pistol? I find great success with it.

      Pistol and the FaN are a pretty good combo, you can knock somebody back with the FaN and finish them off with the pistol at long range, not to mention it's much more reliable to fall back on when you miss both of your FaN shots.

    Heavy is not a good matchup for Force a Nature? Lol i always use this when theres an annoying heavy, it throw offs their aim(and doesn't push them that far due to knockback resistance), it deals enough damage to take away enough hp from a heavy to just finish him off with anything, and Mini Crit FaN deals 151 damage
