Thank you so much for sharing all these beautiful flowers to make a beautiful cottage garden they were all so colorful loved all the beautiful flowers that you picked the cat mint I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before. The geraniums were beautiful too
Thank you. Yes, the catmint is a great cottage garden plant - the bees love it (and cats!!). There are so many beautiful geraniums - sometimes it is difficult to choose.
Perfect
Glad that you found the video useful.
Though shown in some of the images, no mention of hollyhocks? An absolute classic English cottage garden flower.
Yes @Michele Z, hollyhocks are an absolute classic English cottage garden plant. I didn't include them in this video as they are often considered to be a biennial or short-lived perennial. They will be in the video coming out shortly on Classic Biennials for a Cottage Garden. 😀
Tks good vid 🌟 ... New Subscriber 👍
Great, thanks. Glad you liked the video.
Anybody who recomends Ladies Mantle will get the thumbs down from me.It is a weed, would you grow dandelions which have nicer fkowers and attractive foliage? I do not think so. The old couple who lived next door to me had Ladies Mantle in their garden, they passed away years ago and I am still digging it up seedlings years later.
Oh dear - sorry about this! This is one of those love it or hate it plants! I know that it can be invasive, but it has it's advantages and it is a classic cottage garden perennial. You will probably not be surprised to hear that my lawn looks wonderful at the moment - full of beautiful dandelions!
