if the filter size say 72mm why did you use 82mm i thought you would have to use 72mm i have a sigma 18mm -35mm in im trying to figure out what size to buy

82 is typically the biggest size one ever needs. People by this and use step-down rings/adapters (very cheap) so they can use the filter on every lens. Depending on your system or gear you may want to buy the filter size for your biggest lens diameter or you can't use it with all your lenses.

I also have a set at 67mm for everything 67 and smaller. I use 82 for everything between 67 and 82. Hope this helps.

Yes, it does. I use a K&F Vnd infront of it.
