    Your videos are very helpful for a beginner like me in learning the proper way to create the stitches. Thank you for all your videos. For me, there's something very soothing about the quiet 'pop' the needle makes as it goes through the fabric and the soothing sound of the thread quietly 'wooshing' as it glides through the material.

    Your videos are all wonderful, and I thank you for sharing your incredible talent. Would you consider doing a video on the variations on the chain stitch. I’m just learning that there are a lot of them! Thanks.

    Doing one of my first kits that included the chains, and the written directions confused me- was this done like lazy daisy? Your video made it clear to me- thanks.

    Sarah could you tell me what the fabric is you are stitching on please as I am very new to embroidery, thank you

      This particular one is a 100% linen Jan. I like to use natural fabrics so cotton, linen or blends of these. Cotton is good for beginners as it is inexpensive and easy to stitch on. When you are a bit more familiar with the stitches you can try other fabrics.

    Hi Sarah, do you have a video on thread and fabric for hand embroidery and is this the same as Crewel work or a variation?Thank you.

    • @SarahHomfrayEmbroidery
      @SarahHomfrayEmbroidery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a massive subject so we don't at the moment. Crewelwork is a type of embroidery technique using particular threads and fabric traditional but they all cross over...

    Thank you - most helpful. :) What type of stand are you using? I went to your website and couldn't seem to find one listed there.

      +Dennis Siple Glad you enjoyed! It's a 'verstaile table clamp' made by Elbesee. I use two clamps to hold the frame still for the camera but you only need one clamp really. I'm trying to source them for the website so I'll post when we have some!

      +Sarah Homfray Thank you, Sarah. I've just ordered one from Amazon. I just didn't know what it was called.
