- On this episode we feature a seriously badass 850WHP Subaru STI built by Misfire Motorsports using Manley Performance Products. Jrod_OKC goes for a ride in the STI and they encountered a really badass coyote swapped foxbody mustang, needless to say they get into a little trouble on the street! Any money spent on cosmetics is money that should have been spent on performance and reliability.
@@Thom11WRX Yeah most of the time. I'd argue that tinting your windows or lights or other minor mods are fine but having a agressive bodykit, stance, a huge wing, etc but a stock car is stupid.

@@Thom11WRX I completely disagree. I think some money should be spent on cosmetics. It makes the car unique. Every car guy does cosmetic modifications to his car to make it his own.
Just to clarify, I'm not referring to quality of life cosmetics (Tint, headlights, nicer seats, fixing minor paint blemishes). What I'm talking about is Alcantara custom interiors, fully repainting or wrapping a car, interior or exterior lighting. Things that are reminiscent of The fast and the furious. Body kits in my mind that are time attack or hill climb oriented are performance mods disguised as cosmetic. Wheels, if lighter or higher quality are a performance mod. Carbon hoods are a weight reduction. If there is any performance aspect to a part added to a car, then it's a performance mod. My original comment was meant to speak to mods that have no performance value or quality of life value. Hope this clears things up.

LMAO fuck that's too good! I bought a 07 STi that had low compression in Cylinder 4. Took a whole second loan to get it a Stage 2 forged piston short block ProTuned at PREracing and now boy does it pull (354hp). It's weird though, every time I hit it hard the next time I go to turn (neutral or not) it pops like it slipped back into place off a motor mount or something. Only reason why I say that is because I don't have my foot on the clutch etc and it happened after the motor was replaced. Even when just cruising off a pull in no gear my pedal gives me a little feedback as it pops...

@@kylegilmore3810 it wasn't all for 350hp. It's built to be my next “daily” when my almost twenty year old Celica goes. All said and done it's barely over $20K which wouldn't be hard to make back compared to a car with a low compression engine. It all depends on how you look at it but I see your point

This is the reason why I tell people to never underestimate a subie. Everyone always be trying to clown, but won't ever look into a fast subie. When a subie is built right, it's going to gap a lot of cars out there. Such a gorgeous car.

Got my 05 sti on march 25th 2010 it was stock for 9 and 1/2 years. Now it's got a closed deck IAG short block with built heads, work was done by funky built and I couldnt be happier. met a guy the other day that had an 03 wrx that he got in march 2010. It was A nice yellow wrx.

David Jorquera long story short, I made 350whp/350wtq for 10 years of hard driving with 0 engine issues until this year when cylinder #4 started showing signs of low compression. I did blow 2 5 speed wrx transmissions before I did a full 6spd swap. I’m going to make a video on this topic on my channel and on my team channel The Slip Angle so look out for those!

Junior. Vq there stage 2 short block which is roughly 550whp is around 3500$ but after everything from you’d probably be looking at almost 6-7k for a fully built motor if not more

Sometimes when I'm sitting in my 850whp TT 2017 Mustang GT I kinda miss my 300whp 2013 WRX hatch... there is just something about small zippy AWD cars that you just can't beat

Im doing a big turbo build on my offroad GF and I hope is sounds anything like this thing does. Also Im a huge turbo car fan. All 4 of my cars are turbo. 3 are AWD. 2 are Subi. One is twin turbo and one is a PT cruiser lol.

So jealous honestly. The CA scene was so early and ahead, and theres a lot of performance companies from here, but our damn regulations just killed the scene. Yeh theres still a lot of track/garage cars, but i remember seeing so many cool cars (now illegal) as a teen during 99-2003 just on the streets.
