ASMR | Vampire Doctor Roleplay (in Space)

- I mean - it’s an ASMR doctor roleplay, but the doc's a vampire, and you’re in space. That’s that, right?
But… Eagle-eyed viewers may be able to tell that the armour and general costume build was for a different video. Unfortunately, there were IP issues with that one, and so I decided to repurpose it and make a different universe. The costume is a mashup of ~that~ video, plus the surgery smock I made for the Pathologic 2 roleplay.
Basically, this vampire roleplay is an exercise in lore-building and creating a new sci-world in a bizarre b-movie setting, so it’s a little light on the ASMR medical triggers. But, if it is popular enough, I may expand upon it and make future videos set within this world. I also get a little muddled explaining it in the video, so if you want more information about this fairly depressing vision of the future or would like to see it explored more, let me know!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

This is quite an epic you've started. A future where humans are merely fodder for vampiric space travelers and the listener has special blood--which spares their life. Love the FX and the setting. Good music too. I hope you continue it.

Yeeeaahhh *definite* need for more of this. I love the whole aesthetic here. Dark, threatening, frightening very well done. I'm happy that you were able to make use of the awesome armor and that blood vape, clever. I will look forward to seeing where we end up if you do make this a series or expand the lore of this intriguing world. Vampires are my kryptonite so to speak and I am always excited to see new ways for them to be portrayed and how they are created and you, my friend, have caught my attention (not an easy thing to do).

The premise you've set up feels right out of the golden age of sci fi novels and I am loving it! I am thoroughly intrigued by the lore you've given and would love to see it expanded upon, both with the Vestige and this universe as a whole.

I don't know if you've ever read the Sword of Truth series or watched the Legend of the Seeker series, but you'd do a GREAT Darken Rahl. I believe the actor who played him also played Haldir in LOTR.

The base concept of this reminds me of the vampires from Peter Watts' Blindsight books. If you like Sci fi first contact stories that also include vampires in space I recommend. Regardless enjoy what Jim's doing with this one!

I adore the world-building in this. World-building is one of my favorite things to do but I am terrible at dark or sinister settings so stories like this satisfy a craving I can't sate myself. This was beautifully done and left me desperately curious to learn more.

Between the floating skull and the look of the armor, and then the recent...really bad choices towards creators GW has made as far as IP troubles go, assumedly this was originally going to be for a 40k video. A shame that didn't go through, but this vampire alternative is still really cool! Would be neat to know what the original idea was going to be though.
