hi what was the outcome? ive discovered similar vibration and traced it to the gearbox after disconnecting the shaft coupling. mine is worse at 1800 and flattens out at 2600+
I have very similar... If I give her a lot of throttle the engine starts to knock and jump around. The prop shaft was replaced about 5 years ago as was the stuffing box. Last year the motor mounts were replaced as was the cutlass bearing. And the engine was aligned. Still the same. I have to baby the engine as I accelerate then it smooths out when I am doing about 4 to 5 knots. Could it be the prop balance?
Unfortunately the shaft couplers and see how much play there is. Then slowly turn the shaft to see if it spins true with no wobble, if it wobbles at at all its bent.
That would the next part to have checked. Could be a failing output shaft bearing in the reverse gear. That you can checheck for play by unboltimg the couplers

This boat had a badly worn cutlass bearing. He also sent out the prop and had it reconditioned. Problem solved.

Un-bolt not unfortunately
