Hall of fame worthy career. Can't believe how underrated he is. On of the best ever played the game.
The only reason he won’t is that he got his shot too late, then there were two different lockouts and he retired young. His numbers would be even more insane without those lockouts/played a few more seasons/would have become a starter earlier in his career.
@@thefcw Kipper was best goalie in the world 2003-2007. Without that first lockout he would get 2 Vezina trophies for sure.
And the fact that the Flames were pretty mediocre for most of his career. Cup final in 2004, won the division in 2006, but after that they were middle of the pack. Barely squeezing into the playoffs, and then losing in round one. Then starting in 2009, they missed the playoffs for the rest of his career. If he had a better team in front of him, his stats would have been so much better, and he'd be recognized as one of the all time great goaltenders in the NHL, I'm sure of it. @@thefcw
As a Canucks fan, Mikka was a beast back in the day. Much much deserved!!!!
With two "is" ! 😉
Love the friendly banter between them
Ah this was great and it made my heart happy. Love ya Kipper!
Thanks Miikka kifrusoff for the 9years of being here in Calgary you are indeed one of the best goalie ..man of few words… more on action. Take care!God bless you👍❤️🙏🏼
Calgarian here was here in Calgary his whole career remember seeing lots of Flames over the years including Kipper remember talking to him when I worked at the Roadhouse in Calgary got his autograph but now it's long gone wish I still had it all of my hockey autos are gone but wish Kipper the best with an impressive career thanks for coming back to Calgary I know there are good stories that are not for tv working in Calgary bars for a couple decades lol 👍 😀
Awesome stuff man. Kipper is the GOAT
Thank you Mikka for the years of amazing memories for the thousands of fans!
My favourite player ever. Thanks Kipper
This was awesome hahaha thanks for posting
Great stories and banter among these great D men; a great night for Kipper.
At the time when he was playing, the word on the street was that he wouldn't make the HHOF due to him being a relatively late bloomer career-wise. All of his accomplishments happened after his 27th birthday. I really hope his ballot is considered for entry - there was really no one better than him for a number of years in the league.
Might be my favorite goalie of all time as a 90s kid. Kiitos kipperi !
So humble. Such charisma, handles himself well. We love you kipper 🔥🔥
@landons2624 I wouldn't say he is charismatic, he looks awkward and nervous. Which is exactly how I would be! lol
Just brings a bunch of his blueline with him lmaaaaao ... My guys 🔥🔥🔥
As an Oiler fan I hated Kipper, but he was a hell of a goalie he deserves all the accolades and respect.
Congrats Kipper! Well deserved. I am not a Flames fan, but just come to notice... why isn't Theo Fleury up there? He is a Flames legend and was a part of their only Cup winning team.
Thanks Kipper!!! 🏒3️⃣4️⃣🔥
Nice to see Regehr!
It would have been epic if Mikka took to the ice for the warm up. What an awesome goalie, glad he was part of the Flames history!
Congratulations Miikka ,👍
back home Turku, Finland 🇫🇮 Legend says that Miika has spoken once... Never heard it before 😂😂😂
Flames fans watch/listen the Barn Burner podcast mentioned toward the end you won't be disappointed
🔥🐐HHOF
I dont care what anyone says. Phanuef was an icon in his own right.
Love Mika but nice to see Double Dion too 😂
What are you wearing Rhettro hahaha. Wouldn’t have it any other way
As a Sharks fan, he was good when he was here, I’m still mad the Sharks traded him.
Surprised Flames retire his number before former flame Doug Dadswell
That’s a deep cut
@@PainBreadzky Nah Kipper was GREAT just listing former flame goalies
@@lisahardy9707that’s not what I meant by deep cut. I meant you’re pulling out a deep reference not many would know
Mikka KeepsASoft powdery substance poured into his water bottle above the net. Roasting aside, respect on a great career Kipper
They were all loaded...they were pounding them done beer's
Oli Vesa maalivahti ja sitten oli Miikka maalivahti.
What kind of questions are these??
