I dont think we can have a championship team without a guard that has killer instincts, some aggressiveness, and can shoot in the clutch. Seems like that's always a common theme in winning teams, and an obvious whole on this team.

So many of these deals I see presented for the Magic seem like, "Hey, the magic have $, they can afford to overspend on this old/injured guy that can help in some ways but hurt in others." They seem to be framed like the Magic are set to do favors for everyone. I dont want to overspend on an old/injured player who has holes in their game. We have enough holes as it is

Tell me what these lineups have in common.
    PG-Anfernee Simons, SG- Suggs
    PG- Anthony Black, SG- Simons
PG- Anfernee Simons, SG- Garry Harris
All three lineups we could use at any time on the court has Anfernee Simons next to a really good defensive guard. We gain an interchangeable offensive weapon while keeping great defense next to him. PLUS he is only 24 years old turning 25 this summer. He fits age and timeline while checking off boxes we need as far as point guard and shooting ability.

What is the rush? Why do fans and pundits always want to insert that one or two veteran players that may or may not take this team to the next level?
This current roster has proven they can improve their W/L total from 22 to 34 to 47 wins without buying a major player! Money and team jumping spoils the true spirit of basketball. If the rebuild is doing this good this early why mess with it?
Management did their part by picking great players and a rookie coach. Mosley, the COTY runner up and his staff are proving themselves!
The Magic aren’t in a desperate situation. Some fans want it all NOW even though the “process” is working nicely.
I hope management stays the course. Don’t insult the success of these young players by buying veteran talent. Let these players and coaches prove they’re not done yet!

I am with you. I would add players to the foundation you have built, not go after a star. They have something that works. Just fill in some key weaknesses this summer and set the table for the next 2-3 years.

@@confederatetearsaredelicious I’m just going by what they’ve already done. People were a little surprised when they jumped 12 wins to 34 in Paolo’s rookie year. Then another 13 wins up from last season finally got this team noticed.
We have no idea what the ceiling will be from this group. I don’t think anyone is overachieving except maybe Jeff Weltman and Coach Mo! Just imagine if we shot the ball a little better as a team!
I really hope they make a solid attempt to improve their shooting this offseason. Franz and Cole are learning the painful lessons of slumping! Look at Suggs’ rookie year! Fans were ready to dump him!!
Don’t fear success. Another 10 wins is firmly in this team’s grasp! Staying healthy and keeping the players focused on their defensive identity will be key to another successful season! GO MAGIC!

  • @harryo82
    @harryo82 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

No, on any FA over 30.
Paolo needs to work on his ball handling.
Franz needs to have a bounce back shooting year.
No, on Buddy Heild. 39% from 3 on 7 attempts? I have 100% confidence Jett can do that.
Tyus Jones or Malik Monk yes.
    No, to the Atlanta guards.
I'd also love Nic Claxton as an athletic rim running, rim protector. That move would also move Wendell to the backup and make Mo the 3rd big.
