- Paolo Banchero is not yet flexing his muscle as a star would. But he has some ideas for what the Orlando Magic need to add this offseason. The Magic are on the precipice of taking their next steps. But that still requires caution. That is something the Cleveland Cavaliers may teach the Magic as they examine their next moves and what it might cost to get there.

I’m still not ready to tinker with this roster. They have earned the right to see how far they can take this team.
We are at least a year ahead of schedule into the development of our young players. How many of them have reached their individual ceiling?? Just imagine if Franz and Cole didn’t fall into a shooting slump! The Cavs series was ours for the taking!
What if we add one or two players for next season but only wind up with 42 wins?
Let’s get better the old fashioned way. By developing our young players at both ends of the roster. How many games could we have won by shooting 85% free throws?
Wins will pile up if players believe that management, coaches, fans and owners have supreme confidence in their team’s abilities!

Huge mistake to run it back, could easily mean having a worse season next year. We finished ahead of Philadelphia, Miami, and Indiana this season. Philly and Miami both had injury problems that hurt them and caused them to fall this season. On top of that you know both of those teams will not sit tight this summer they will be active. Also Indiana could easily leap us next season.
We snuck up on teams this season, that’s not happening next year at all. Teams are going to be ready for us. Boston, New York, Philly, Miami, Indiana, Milwaukee could all be ahead of us. Nobody can predict injuries, and by all accounts we were pretty lucky with that this season. Running it back is a huge mistake.
When u take a step back trust has no business outplaying Franz and that's hard to forgive Franz can no longer be part of a big 3 he's just a great regular season player and when playoffs come and teams key in on his weakness he dissappears he's young enough to correct it but if there's a great trade available he's no longer untouchable...
@@dsaturdayfwight7516 Do you remember Franz in game 4? Or the 3 games in a row that he scored over 30 just 5.5 months ago? Teams aren’t defending against any better, he’s just missing shots like the rest of the team. He’s a smart guy and so is Cole. They both need an injection of confidence and plenty of shooting practice this offseason!
@saturn722 the only games that matter are elimination games in this case it was a game 7 the guy guarding him is 6'5" mind you he's 6'10" I've said it b4 this series really feels rigged we had size advantages everywhere and half the team disappeared we were the better team but I digress

Did they overachieve by winning 25 more games in just two seasons? It sure wasn’t because of their amazing shooting skills! How many top 5 teams in either conference had a lower offensive rating than the Magic? I’d be surprised if there were any!

100% right! DON"T go down the path of the Cleveland Cavaliers where you try to speed up the process. Cleveland WAS on a great path until they brought in Donovan Mitchell. Listen I love Donovan, but he stunted the growth of Darius Garland and as we now know, those two can't co-exist.

Dlo is the perfect fit. He’s unselfish and has a very high bball IQ. On or off ball, he’s elite on offense. He wants to win more than he wants empty stats. Great motivating teammate and natural leader.

Wendell Carter is a very good BACKUP Center is this league. We need to improve that starting spot. Trade Carter and picks for Simons and Sign FA Center.
I'd trade this year's 1st and Denver's 2025 first for PG Collin Sexton and then go grab Center Nic Claxton.

I mean, as a rookie he only starting a couple of games due to injury, he's already had a couple 20+ games. Jalen Suggs was almost considered a bust coming into this season, Give Black two or three years of development and then see where he is at.
We need D Mitchell and N Clax on the team and we competing for top spots
