What I did is I've asked hundreds of honest Ukrainian ladies to interview. And asked them what is the TRUTH on this subject and other subjects as well(scams, gold diggers, hidden agenda, and if they really want to marry foreign men).
These ladies some are married, some are single with kids, some are single without children. All of them I know and most of them have never been with marriage agencies. All of them are completely open and honest on camera!

If Ukrainian men are so bad, the Ukrainian mothers who raised them must take some responsibility. How can Ukrainian women be so good when they raise such "bad" men?
Most Ukrainian women love Ukrainian men, sir. The scammers who work in the scam industry love their boyfriends and husbands. As do regular Ukrainian women. There are exceptions of course. Some women simply prefer to look outside Ukraine. Some American men prefer to look outside America. I know too many Ukrainian women who are madly in love with Ukrainian men. So please. . .there is no threat to you.
Well Bryan, we try to focus on the scam industry. We try to give men the tools to navigate around it. I don't have any real relationships with agencies in Ukraine. I mostly just stick to websites and matchmaking services for my recommendations. I also recommend some free sites, but with those you must have tremendous patience. There are so many scammers.
But we try to discourage all participation in the pay by letter scam industry. Sure, you can get lucky once in a while, but that industry has fooled millions of men and made billions over the last decade. It is just time for that nonsense to stop.

Im actually learning Ukrainian on my own and plan to visit Ukraine as soon as some restrictions lift. When people know Im studying Ukrainian they always ask me if it’s because of the ladies and the answer is no. Although now that’s an additional stimulus and perk to learn the language. I actually don’t know why I decided to learn Ukrainian but I enjoy very much studying its language and culture.

I doubt very much this one lady’s point of view is not shared by others. While she does not speak for all Ukrainian women, I bet good money that her view is shared with a large percentage of many demographics within Ukraine culture. Of course the only way to know for sure is to listen to other women from Ukraine.

Ukrainian women and men are no different than “western” women and men. There are good and there are bad. I think there’s a messed up propensity to idealize women (or men) from a foreign land. That’s a mistake. One ought never start a relationship putting anyone on an obtainable (and distorted) pedestal. No need to find a foreign spouse. If it happens it happens, but don’t go looking for it specifically...

I can appreciate the life style Ukrainian women if they are happy with their government. However, it has been mentioned to me that many of them feel they are just lied to by the men and government. I LOVE my freedom in USA and would hope if I ever gave this approach the time of day that my Ukrainian bride would be 100% willing to take on the title as an American.

When trying to determine why the men and women of Ukraine behave the way they do, always keep in mind that the economy in Ukraine is absolutely horrible, and political corruption makes a bad situation even worse. When there is little hope for a decent career, for example, men feel hopeless and that leads to drinking, etc. The life expectancy for males in Ukraine has been declining for decades, while life expectancy in most developed countries has been increasing. It's a very, very difficult situation. I have found the people in Ukraine to be humble and good, generally-speaking. And in regards to the women- if you visit Ukraine, you will immediately notice an exceptionally high percentage of attractive, slim ladies. I have no idea why this is the case, but it's very obvious. Unfortunately, most women are not raised in a quality family environment that is conducive to the development of personality traits that are desirable in a good mate.
Having been to Ukraine 4 times over 15 years, I think I can tell you why so many are slim. They are more wise about the food they eat mostly eating natural food, lean meats & vegetables such as a soup. They seldom eat fast food or processed food. And not so many have their own vehicles and tend to walk around versus riding in cars.

Yes, the healthy diet and the fact that most people in Ukraine do a lot of walking relative to, for example the people in the USA makes a big difference in their weight and general health. I had noticed the food is much better than the USA- both because it's locally grown and because the Ukrainians put much emphasis on meal quality, same as Italy. However, if you have been to Ukraine I am sure you have noticed that the women are not just slimmer and healthier, generally speaking, but they are also conspicuously more attractive. This part confuses me. I have traveled a lot, and have never been to country with such high percentage of very physically attractive women.
Also, if a foreigner went to see some industrial centers, rather than big cities he would probably find somewhat less attractive women and maybe not so slim.

What I loved in this interview was the honesty about the whole situation between men and women in Ukraine, including the good and bad things. I also loved the clear description of what makes a good husband with a depth of character. One woman can't say everything about her whole country, of course: but she did an excellent job of describing some necessary elements for marriages to work, I believe. Things many people have forgotten in my country. Men and women in North America could learn a lot from the difficulties and good qualities of men and women discussed in this interview. Such a touchy business and I think she’s probably right about the agencies, they are only concerned with the money but it’s a business first so.. I had a long time friend from high school, he owned a successful business by the age of 23. He was handsome, kind but didn’t date often. At age 28 he was looking for a bride and wanted children. He ended up wedding a 24 yr old girl from China that he met via an agency. She reminded me of a little girl. She was so sweet, shy and her stature/body frame was so very tiny. I threw her a baby shower (1 yr later) which her husband (my friend Richard) attended although he wasn’t supposed to. His excuse was that his wife’s English was still rather broken and he wanted to be there to help her. Gina was 8 mos pregnant, I wanted her to sit down and eat, relax and have fun but Rich, her hubby kept asking her to get up and do one thing after another for him. He wouldn’t even get his own glass of water! I finally got angry when he asked her to get up for the 3rd time by snapping his fingers at her. If u thought I was pissed off over his disrespect u should have seen my mother! She told Rich that his disrespect wouldn’t be tolerated in her home and if she ever saw him mistreating her like that again ANYWHERE that she’d make it her personal mission to convince her to take her child and go back home to family. He was very busy all the time and we think he sought out a woman from a different culture who was more submissive in order to be his slave and do things for him that he didn’t have time for.. and he took it way too far. This wasn’t the sweet, kind and helpful man we once knew. It was one of those situations where u didn’t want to stick your nose in someone’s business but I had genuine concern for Gina. I would phone her from time to time during the day while he was working and she would assure me that she was okay. I finally saw a huge change in Rich after their child arrived, it was as if someone flipped a switch and he was back to his sweet self again. I moved away about 5 yrs after they married. We stayed in touch for awhile, they had another child.. but eventually we lost contact. I’d like to think they are happy and still together but who knows. It’s not as if Rich is difficult to find, I just haven’t reached out yet. 😊

Hi Lukkash, Yana here. Communication is something we all have to learn, Unfortunately at school they don't teach us how to communicate, respect each other, build relationships and families. A true foundation is important. It has to be solid. If you build something on the sand, it will not stand during the storm. A true foundation can be your beliefs, values, something you will never compromise. And a sand can be what other people or society are trying to impose upon you. So the root is actually deeper than we all can imagine🙂

There are some looking for the right thing. Girls outnumber guys by a fair margin in Ukraine. So, it leaves some looking elsewhere. And you might be surprised at who is and what they are looking for. You've got to remember. The girls are brought up in the A typical stereotype of being a good mom, house wife. I personally have done this twice and honestly the only reason the first one did not work out was more so my fault really. By the time i realized what the issues were, and not done intentionally...the damage was done. culture clash 101. The second time around has worked wonderfully. She may not be super model class but i have no complaints and super looks are not everything. To be honest, i scored much better with #2 as the rest of the relationship is a major upgrade. My advice. Get to know a few that you like to look at. The one that you just enjoy talking to and hanging out with. That's the one you marry.

You can not judge all people because of a few stories.. There are very good results and some bad results from joining the marriage agencies... You should not take an interview from a single woman who has an interest to get married, but had some bad luck with men.. She will never tell you anything good because of her own life story and experience with men.
If she is interested in you, she will never tell you good things of other women.. Most of those women see you as their potential man.. this is why they are saying negative things of other women.

From a different perspective: I am an east European man and never had a problem with getting laid in my own country. The problem is going beyond that. They don't want a poor man and they don't want a guy like me either. They want mental stability, and I don't have (or want) that. From my side I think most east European women are boring and shallow. Back when I was living off interest it sucked me into the bottle because I seemingly had no responsibilities, and they don't like that. They basically want some guy who has the disposition of a woman, goes to work from 9 to 5, likes going on vacations, and makes no demands on them whatsoever. My opinion is that if your whole life is NOT already a crazy vacation every day, then you need to change something.

Back in the late 90's I started the process of going through an agency I think it was called International Connections or something like that, to find me a russian woman to marry. I recieved a catalog with hundreds of women in it and each had a number. anyway it was a super long process and you would have many hoops to jump through and a long story short I spent thousands and never did anything but talk on the phone with a few women. I can tell for sure : ALL AMERICAN MEN , WHO WANTS TO MARRY NON AMERICAN WOMEN ARE DISABLE , I mean not visible disability, but for sure mental ! Then it's also secret pass life , like about multi marriages, of course serious financial problem, alcohol issue , drugs dependency.... that are the reason they do not want American wife , because she easily can figure it out locally. As for me I call those American potential "husband " -- SECOND HAND .. Sorry , American, but for the last20 years of my life in US I did not get chance to change my opinion for better one .
