  • I forgot to do a throttle pull test on my fuel pump pressure test. Looking to see the pressure remains steady as I give various throttle input while the engine is running. The test revealed that pressure is remaining constant and not diving down to leaner levels. It looks good to me but I'm no expert.
The fuel pump tests seem in line with the manual specifications. I've checked the TPS (throttle position sensor) voltage and it was set to the manual spec. I might need to double check those settings again. I know low pressure can cause poor motor running but didn't see anything in the manual diagnostic section about slightly high fuel pressure. It might also be time for a good cleaning of the fuel injector and throttle body.

I wanted one but really didn't want to shell out the $65 bucks Suzuki wanted for it. I had originally planned to install the LED light up in the headlight mask somewhere so I could monitor issues as I rode the bike. I still might do that but I'm running out of space in the ECU carrier on the fender. Still trying to figure out if I can also make an ODB reader. I need to find the correct Suzuki protocols to be able to wire up a dealer plug reader.
