The art and fun way to bring dead, cooked, rusty stuff back to life. You're the best at this game. Your laughter is so contagious, a great pleasure to follow. Thank you from France!
I love the old stuff that you bring back to life!! That can still be very useful to the guy who is getting it! That first backfire would scare most! Classic...lol
I love it when you do stuff like this - take something old that used to run, and get it going again. Then it's like the sky is the limit for how much you bring it back. Sometimes I wish we could follow this project further along it's course until we see it actually being used again.
Brings me back to helping our neighbor as a kid. They had a Model A truck doodlebug which sat outside all winter. Every spring prior to haying season they would spend an afternoon getting it going again. It had flat copper strips coming from the magneto to each of the 4 plugs. They used it to pull the hay wagon. They would put one of us on it in 1st gear and were told to steer straight. I love the various levers that are on yours. Trying to remember what didn't work last time vs what is just stuck this time is always the trick. Beats going out with a brand new jeep and getting it stuck in a mud hole. Laughing all the way.
That's a WWII British (right hand steering is the give away) what we now refer to as a 3/4 ton. A lot of them came to Canada with our returning military units, and subsequently became military surplus, and like yours converted to different purposes. There is quite a history with these trucks. Good to see one being brought back to live.
Woods trucks are so cool. Loves these can you get them running videos. Some of the stuff you try to get running most would walk away from. You fix them like they would of back in the day. Too cool. The rebuildingnof that starter was priceless. Clean out the dirt, drop of oil. Some sand paper... brand new..lol. On another note. Brent where you get your oil fill can. Been meaning to ask you that now awhile. I like that unit
WOW!! This thing is so cool!!!.. I am a new subscriber because of the cool content!!.That laser rust gun was super awesome!!!...Thank you for sharing cool stuff!!-John
Great job getting that rusty thing going again, really interesting stuff there love seeing it all brent ,.. I hope you and Easther have a wonderful thanksgiving ,,,, I love seeing her in the videos … 1:25:31
Great one Brent. So much history and memories in such a machine. In my language we have an idiom...n boer maak n plan. Translated it means a farmer always make a plan.😊
When strong needs arose back in the old days as they say necessity became the mother of inventions and thus skid steers and other contraptions were invented. Love seeing this old skid steer brought back to life. It was simple machines like this that built America.
That thing is super cool, I definitely think you should build something behind the operator to protect them from stuff snapping back at them. or something like a "roll bar/cage" kind of thing. .....Back fire made me shoot beer out my nose... 👍
What a ole piece iron, glad u gave it life again, great seeing u go back in time when u used it, great video, laughing all the way.....may u an ur family have a blessed Thankgiving day with family an friends,an pups also.🤙✌️👍😎
That was cool...I guess the one thing I'd consider adding is some sort of shield behind the driver in case that cable every let's go it doesn't come back and smack you
You're Some Kinda Canadian Okie... Bret!. Keep Up the Great Work. Love the New Shop. Also Your Channel is Interesting because Nobody Does it Like You. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to You and Yours
First time that thing back fired it scared the hell out of me too. Lol...Necessity is the mother of invention. Someone needed a skidder so they built one. A bit prehistoric but never the less a skidder. Is "stuckness" a new word? WOW dude I didn't know you had one of those new lasers. Star wars comes to the Kustom shop! I don't know how you can laugh so easily. I would be cursing and throwing stuff. One of the best videos you have ever made. That Chevy engine still rockin on.....
I love those old contraptions, ie: Doodlebugs-homemade tractors, etc. Local farmers would use them as skidders and tractors back during the Great Depression, and would gang a couple of transmissions together to turn it into a real stump-puller. The more levers the better.....
4WD worked great. Get last tire to air up, lube steering shaft joints and that ole skidder's 'bout near 100%. All it needs then is to be run more often.
Incredible piece of old machinery. That choker style was neat and quick hook. That old stove bolt just wanted to live. I was amazed you got the tranny unstuck. later
That might be a 270 gmc, used them in gi trucks during the war. Try filling the trans with heating oil, run it around for an hour, drain and repeat when it drains out clean go to gear oil. Learned this driving an unrestored 43 ford, he lived in Michigan, drove the truck to Pennsylvania, no issues
Brent totally different. You got it souped up again. Thanks for sharing your slider with us. Was that an old Chevy truck you made this with the straight 6 cylinder. Thank you ! 💯👊👍
In real rough terrain you can also drop the bundle, drive forward and drag the bundle to you vs beating up the machine. My dad used to talk about running them before everyone switched to grapple skidders.
Good stuff, Sir !! Thank you !! I hope you drained the water out of the transmission? Please be careful and God bless!!!! I pray you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving!!! Eddy
That's one of the things I like about this channel. You never know what you're going to see get fixed. Keeps me coming back
In my 50 years as a forester I have never seen a happier skidder operator!
The art and fun way to bring dead, cooked, rusty stuff back to life. You're the best at this game. Your laughter is so contagious, a great pleasure to follow. Thank you from France!
Cool stuff, I love it when some thing runs after sitting for years!😊 Happy Thanksgiving
Why do I find this contraption so beautiful ?
It sure has charm.
Here in Germany it's 1:30 am, but I had to watch it until the end - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to sleep!
Thank you! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for taking us along on your adventures. Laughing along the way.
Great fun,Brent... unbelievable how that old stovebolt came back from the dead😎👍
I love the old stuff that you bring back to life!! That can still be very useful to the guy who is getting it! That first backfire would scare most! Classic...lol
Do not forget the Pablo seat. 😉

For comfort, the mandatory head rest. The man sure does know his thing, and is more than happy, with smiles and laughter to share with many.
No end to this mans talent , reminded me of the tv series scrap heap challenge. Cheers Brent .
Man, the way you attacked that starter! Mortske'd be proud!
Mort only likes boys him and chew are lovers
Omg the backfire! I was laughing so hard!!!! Good thing I wasn’t wearing my ear buds!!! Great video Brent!!

Yeah man , can’t beat those old stovebolt 6’s, daggone good engines
Great program, that was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing this. Take care my friend 👍
You are correct. At least with me. I have never seen a machine like it. How innovative!
This is one of my favorite Halfass videos because it wasn't full of timelapse. Driving it on the flat tire really ignited my OCD though 🤣🤣
Great machine. Clearly does the job it was intended to do. And does it pretty well. Am sure Dennis will make good use of it. Be safe and stay well.
Great video Brent, nice job on getting that old thing running again!! Your skills never cease to amaze me..
Most YT repair channels visit some distant place and then trailer back their next project. Brent just walks out in his yard and there it is!
Your knowledge is amazing to watch.
Rock on Brent!!
Nice to see you are happy over gathering some fire pit fuel. Best part is that the skidder is back in operation.
I knew you could do it Ian. Just want to say hi to you all and hope you are having a blessed day God bless and have a blessed evening and night
Great job getting that rusty thing going again, really interesting stuff there love seeing it all brent ,.. I hope you and Easther have a wonderful thanksgiving ,,,, I love seeing her in the videos … 1:25:31
Great one Brent. So much history and memories in such a machine.

And now for something totally different…. What a BEAST!! I can see a cab for it in a future build….maybe?😊
Cool. Looks like fun
Looking good on that thing Mr Haney.
Great video, Brent. That's some old school there! Kudos to the drone operator, too.
Great fun! Thanks for taking us along!

What an awesome amazing Kewl video ! Canadian ingenuity at its finest ! That thing is so useful ! Epic video Brent ! Thanks !!!!
Enjoyed the heck out of the video. All that's needed is a new tire to replace the deflated one. Thanks Brent!
That thing is super cool, I definitely think you should build something behind the operator to protect them from stuff snapping back at them.
or something like a "roll bar/cage" kind of thing.

That was cool. Didn't know it would do that and with a flat tire. It is ready to go.
The struggle is real 😂
4WD worked great. Get last tire to air up, lube steering shaft joints and that ole skidder's 'bout near 100%. All it needs then is to be run more often.
Cool video. I enjoy all your videos.
Hey Brent, You prove that almost anything (except for me) can be made to work again!😊 P.S. Drain the Diffs!

Pretty cool piece of equipment.
