I was born in Liverpool in 52 now living in the Isle of Man loving all this music better than the rubbish you get now adays
I love Billy it brings back my childhood😂❤xxx
Táto hudba nepotrebuje drahé klipy a natriasajuce sa zadnice. Dobre sa počúva aj so zavretými očami. Diky za super spomienky.
Winnie Wallace.. I was eleven in sixty one.All of these songs bring back so many treasured memories to me. My brother,no longer with us , singing Wooden heart, one of my sister's who's love of the Every Brothers meant she played their music constantly and Chubby Checker belting out Let's Twist Again when we had our caravan holiday in Rhyl that year
best music ever, i was born in 1953 and still listen this music
Same school . Born 1952 . Love this stuff . Nothing like it today .
My grandfather was 18 in 1961. Now I'm 18 and I want to listen to the music he grew up with when he was my age :)
Helen Shapiro had an amazing voice. 👌
Totally agree with you!

Memories of the 60's
Love Helen hair style great days great music
Great selection!
I wish the Billy Fury clip had included footage from 1961 otherwise a very enjoyable trip down memory lane thank you uploading, dowloading, side loading or whatever.
Don Everly R.I.P
WONDERFUL! Decent length for each song and superb film clips and photos. Matching up the first Elvis song to the '68 performance was very well done.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Omg I was born in 1969 how sad is this song lol
Memories of Holland
I wish I had been born in the 1950s instead of at the end of the late 1960s growing up in the 1980s was terrible and there were more people than jobs
And so .. this is the start of 1960s ..? Yip! UK Pop Music artists had really started to give the Americans a real run for the record sales money. It could be done .. but the US still had the talent. Great stuff .. Walking back the happiness.
Hard to believe that Helen Shapiro was only 15 when she had these hits. I think she was actually still at school.
she was god now she is the same age as me but what a talent
She was a pioneer of the girl singers.
I'm only disappointed because I thought I was going to see a run through of all the UK Top Ten hits, but there are just 10.
The year I was born.

So glad the Beatles came along in 1962 and changed music for the better !
And where do you think they got their inspiration from ?
Bit of a dumb comment
@@brianmaxwell1142 But true!
@@brianmusson1827 The Beatles were wonderful no argument. They auditioned to back Billy Fury and John asked for his autograph. In 1964 The Beatles achieved what Billy had in 1960 in that they released an album of their own compositions. I count myself lucky to be able to enjoy both great acts, and Elvis, The Everly Brothers and Joe Meek. Great stuff.
You're right. Far too much saccharine, bubble-gum, bobby-sox type music up until that point, although the harmonies of the Everly Brothers did inspire the Fab 4 along with Elvis, Chuck Berry, Lonnie Donegan, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc. Many later groups were also inspired by the likes of the Everly Brothers and the Beach Boys. Naturally, all musicians are influenced from previous generations, but the Beatles really did change the course of music and take it to another level, maybe not initially but certainly from Rubber Soul onwards in 1965.
