That casket which Oswald was buried in sold for $89,000 at auction. When his body was exhumed in the early 80's he was reburied in a new casket and the undertaker kept the old one which is the one that sold at auction. The casket was in very poor condition due to water damage. Why anyone would pay that kind of money for it is beyond me.

Who knows, maybe Jackie was secretly scattered out over Hyannis Port...

The citation was for a traffic offense on November 13, that was supposed to go to court on November 27. It was dismissed because the officer that wrote the ticket couldn't go to court, because he died November 22.
Anybody who thinks Tippitt resembled JFK hasn't seen a photo of either. Stevie Wonder could tell the difference.
Not to mention Tippit was on the medical examiners slab a few days later, in Dallas, having slugs removed from his chest.. Which pretty much nukes that ridiculous theory.. lol..

Oh, and yes, the BONGing is a bit redundant, but what is one to do? SFX of milling crowds with maybe a few bongs might be OK, but a lot of folks aren't that fancy (I'm not!) in editing these things. But it is cool seeing this VERY rare footage. I too feel for both families, and had the pleasure of speaking to Lee's borther, to my delight he was most kind & put me at ease, and we talked about the softer side of Lee, as he WAS a person and was loved once too. I learned his eyes were blue.

The video cuts off the narrator midsentence who was praising Tippit, saying that "on evenings he worked at a donut shop and on Sundays ..." I believe the end of that sentence would have been to the effect that he worked at the Texas Theater as an usher." It's remarkable that the DPD would have paid their police force so meagerly that they were obliged to moonlight in order to make ends meet, particularly in an era when rents were so low - it's either that, or that Tippit was going to great lengths to avoid spending time with his family.

Meanwhile, many cops still moonlight as security to this day.. Very common occurrence for law enforcement personnel..

Lemme ask you this… If both Lee and the killer discarded their jackets that day, what does that tell you?.. lol.. Tells me their probably the same person, right?.. lol..
The shells at the scene match the weapon he’s arrested with.. He has extra shells of BOTH TYPES the killer used to kill Officer Tippit in his pocket and loaded into his pistol when he’s arrested.. The slugs pulled from Officer Tippit had the same characteristics as all slugs fired from Oswald’s pistol, 5 lands, 5 grooves and a right twist..
6 out of 7 witnesses who place a lone gunman at the scene said it was Oswald.. The killer is never out of sight from witnesses from the moment he shoots the cop, until he enters the Texaco parking lot where the jacket is found.. 2 witnesses follow the killer to that parking lot and both said it was Oswald and both said he was wearing a light colored jacket.. Another witness IDs Oswald in that parking lot, wearing a light colored jacket.. The next witness to see and ID Oswald, Johnny Brewer, said he wasn’t wearing a jacket, and he’s arrested without a jacket, and there’s a jacket found right in between those 4 witnesses..
The jacket is IDed as Lee’s jacket by his wife.. There are fibers on the inside lining that match the very unusual shirt Oswald was arrested in.. And, lol, we all know he did indeed discard a jacket that day, because his landlady saw him zipping up a light colored jacket as he left his boarding house, and he’s arrested without a jacket..
So, I can make a chain of evidence from the Texas theatre all the way back to the cop being shot.. He’s arrested with the pistol that matched the shells at the scene, and extra shells of both types the killer used to murder Officer Tippit, which CONNECTS him to the scene, automatically.. But he’s also connected to Johnny Brewer, who saw him without a jacket.. Which connects him to the jacket and the 7 different pieces of evidence that proves its Oswald’s jacket.. And that connects him to Mary Brock who saw and IDed Oswald in that parking lot, wearing a jacket.. And that connects him to Reynolds and Patterson who followed him to that parking lot, who said he was wearing a light colored jacket.. And once you connect Oswald to Reynolds and Patterson, he’s connected all the way back to the crime scene shooting a cop, because once again, the killer was never out of sight from witnesses from the moment he shot Tippit, until he entered that Texaco parking..
I’m sorry, but he was a cop killer, no doubt..

Rick Fountain, Jr. when Lee was exhumed for an autopsy to prove it was him in the casket some years ago the casket was in such bad shape they had to put him in another one to rebury him. Last I heard the funeral home and Oswald’s brother were in court over ownership of the old casket. The funeral home had it listed on eBay but the brother has a receipt where he paid for it so claims if lee isn’t in it then the casket is his

The Tippit murder is fascinating stuff.. You have theories about auto pistols, even though all the shells were found left of the shooters position and at least 30 feet away… Which doesn’t happen with automatic pistols.. lol..
The question I always ask is why would a cabal of conspirators have their frame job depend, or actually hinge on whether or not Oswald grabbed his pistol?.. That seems risky, right?.. What if he didn’t and shells are being dumped in the yard to frame Oswald, but Oswald’s pistol is still in his top dresser drawer at his boarding house?!.. lol..
One thing I’ve learned through studying this event is conspiracy believers aren’t very bright..
Even better: why kill a cop at all? Kennedy is already dead, Oswald is already on the run, and if anything goes wrong here (like Tippit outdrawing his attacker) they've just gone to a lot of trouble to just end up confirming a conspiracy exists.
