Dear Keurig Engineers, you messed up on this reusable coffee filter design. Next time, please use the KISS method... “KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID”. Excess water spills over from the coffee stream, messy and coffee residue at the bottom of the cup. Everything else is nice about this new machine Supreme Plus. However, people are returning the unit due to said issues! Please issue a recall on reusable coffee filter, which came included with my Keurig.

The one thing this video doesn’t describe is the red Gasket. Basically if you have a 5 needle brewer you are going to want to remove the red gasket entirely. If you have a 1 needle brewer you want to make sure that the gasket is installed and each of the 4 holes are plugged. They don’t tell you this because they wanted it to be “automatic” in that the product would come with the gasket plugged then if you had a 5 needle brewer the needles would push the plug open and allow water to pass through. Wish they were more transparent about it but the product is already crazy confusing due to the vast amount of different brewers keurig has made over the past 30 years.

Multi-stream brewers appear to need the red plug removed. Also the k-supreme apparently isn't really a "PLUS" model so does not need the adapter. Worst instructions ever.
There are no paper filters available for this k-cup either so back to the issue of much sediment in my coffee :/ I used some disposable paper tea bags in it and really made a big difference in flavor and no sediment. Just fussy to fill, so proper fitting filters would really be nice.
I love all the brewing options on the k-supreme. I am finally able to get a stronger cup of coffee from my Keurig!
I am also glad that I didn't opt for the model down. The programmable favorites is really handy. (which I actually thought I wouldn't need because it is just me)

Please help!! I need to know WHY you need to fill to the max line and WHAT SIZE of coffee is recommended for that max line. If I want a teeny tiny coffee in the evening it seems wasteful to fill the pod to the top and the coffee would likely be too strong but is the pod large enough to make the largest size without it being weak?

If your Keurig brewer has a single needle, you would keep the red gasket on. Be sure to have it on correctly (there is a wider side and a narrow side, it will only stay put if it's on correctly) and make sure each plug is fully sealed in it's opening. This will keep coffee from going all over from those 4 additional holes. If you have a 5 prong Keurig (like the one in this video) you would just remove it and that's it. I have a Keurig Slim, so I have to keep the red gasket on. Hope this helps!

Hi Keurig Canda, I have a little complaint. I have a Keurig Supreme Plus Smart coffee maker and it appears that as soon as the printed scan code on the K-Cup lid wears off the laser in the coffee maker will not recognize the K-Cup. I have two, one new with all the printing still on, and one that's about a year and half old. I used the last one with my previously owned K Supreme Mini and all the print wore off but it still worked. But not in the Supreme Plus. It just asks if you want to make hot water. Is this a known problem because I now have a useless K-Cup and know that my new one will also become useless long before it wears out? I can't think up a workaround that wouldn't involve toxic substances.

I have a K2.0-200 model. I used a cheap reusable pod for a few years until the mesh filters started leaking, so I bought the Keurig cup seen in this video (Kroger had it on clearance for a fraction of the original price). I used it exactly as seen here. After 3-4 months I began to have a problem with it. The lid would not stay locked on once it was in the machine so it would come off separately from the rest of the pod. I thought it was a defect so I ordered a new one. Same thing happened. I realized that over time and frequent use (2-3 times/day) the lid begins to get bent out of shape and no longer will align correctly on the cup to lock. It turns out it WAS a design flaw. It doesn’t fit properly in the machine. It appears to, and it makes the coffee ok, but it wears out way too fast. Has anyone else had this problem?

After a year of use, we use it everyday 10 times daily, this is my opinion. 1. The "scale" light is a gimmick, we use a 5 stage RO/UV on our well for drinking water. My probe says 2ppm, there's no "scale" buildup for the time the light turns on. 2. I feel there is "dry" coffee at the bottom of the strainer that is wasted. So we are going to look a Ninja brand coffee maker to replace this. This Keurig just misses the mark.

The instructions in the My K-Cup box clearly say that the red rubber gasket can be removed for cleaning and reinstalled for use. It doesn’t say anything about leaving it out for some models and in for others. Either the instructions are wrong or they’re just very confusing, it’s hard to tell. • @Ron_the_Skeptic

I just purchased one of these. The instructions that come with the cup remain deficient. They speak about "Plus" brewers as requiring the grey piece that must be removed for the newer unit and they say the red piece should be in place. I left the red piece in place and the operation stopped after a few seconds! With the grey piece and red piece removed, it works very well.
I doubt there is an "official" answer. I think the instructions were written by someone who was unaware, or were written prior to some of the current models going into production.

Mine doesn't fit because of the pin on the bottom. Are you supposed to break the bottom by the pin?

    • @jimb8738
      @jimb8738 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

You REMOVE the basket entirely. It just pops out if you place your thumb where you'd insert a K-cup and use your fingers underneath to push it up. Remove the basket and the reusable K-cup should sit right down in the notched hole. Make sure the little tiny white arrow on the lid points towards the Keurig. If you have a Keurig with the five needles, remove the little red stopper so that the 5 needles can have a hole each to inject hot water. If you have a Keurig with only 1 needle leave that red stopper in. Also, if you have a newer Keurig remove that light grey bottom plastic piece that has a raised plastic spine that runs up the side of the reusable K-cup. If you have an older Keurig, leave it attached. Hope this helps.

Is this the same size as the pod used in the Carafe? I was using paper filters in the original, and this My-Cup is a little bigger, where they’ll no longer fit. But there are other, larger paper filters used in the Carafe, which I don’t have.
Wondering if I can use those if the Carafe pod and My-Cup are about the same size? That way I’m not forced to choose enhanced 5-prong flavor over leftover sediment!

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

Deer Keurig, I returned your coffee maker because you did not include a reusable filter so that I can use my own coffee. I ended up with a lot of headache trying to find a filter that worked but I did not succeed. You are fired.

  • @cryss8032

If you have the type of brewer as shown (with four water spouts) you also NEED to REMOVE THE RED PLUG on the inside of the basket lid, otherwise the four water spouts won't work correctly. BTW the instructions included with the Reusable Filter are WRONG.

Make your dang keurigs hotter . I add a little creamer and its luke warm. And the new heat settings are a joke and do nothing i tested all three with a thermometer. All for looks does 0. Make the machine hot. If you worried about a law suit make a unlock feature a user has to unlock so there aware and can not sue. I like hot hot coffee not cold.

The best way to use this new design is to take it back to the store that you bought it at for a refund and try to find the original version of this. The new version is ridiculous.
