Caitlin is literally already the best PG (heck, guard) in the game and she came 4th in MVP voting, that 1st team All-WNBA is earned. No question. Numbers and gameplay all back that up. Caitlin can not perform like Sabrina did in the finals and expect her team to still win. We saw one game of Sabrina getting the same defensive schemes played against Caitlin all season long when they played the Aces and she completely laid an egg. She would not be able to carry a team built like the Fever were this year to where Caitlin carried them. She needed two recent MVPs (one of them got FMVP) on the team to win a championship. Despite winning the championship, it was eye opening to see her be able to play underwhelmingly and the Liberty still win it all. Caitlin wouldn't get that luxury on her current team lmao. Given the team context and defensive coverages surrounding both these players I think it's pretty crazy to not see Caitlin as the superior individual player when despite everything being more stacked against her she still had the better numbers all around lol.
Parker also had fan voting for MVP that Year I do believe, CC did not, If the league did that this season , she would have been MVP, just by her fan votes numbers for the All star game.

And yes, the Liberty were the best & just won the title and of course Ionescu had a big part in that, but Ionescu didn't carry her team most of the season like Clark had to. Ionescu wasn't their 1st option, & wasn't always the 2nd option either. Stewart was their consensus best player & Jones was Finals MVP, saving their asses in game 5 after Stewie's 4/15 FG & Sab's 1/19.
Caitlin has stated that she'd love to shoot from the 3 pt. line, but they don't give her that option, she's double teamed by that point. When comparing CC and Sabrina's stats, CC leads in every single category, that's why she's first team. I actually think Sabrina should replace Thomas on first team.
Caitlin has always shot better from deeper... she had a little shooting slump this season probably due to exhaustion, since she got no break after college.. however, even when you look at a breakdown of her shot % this season, the 3 shots she took closer to the line were low % and the deep 3 shots were her high % shots.
