Chester was his happiest when he was in the studio recording songs, on stage, with his fans, and being with his family and friends. He had the most problems when he was by himself with no one to keep him distracted. As long as he could stay out of his own head he was happy with life. For Chester 1 of his ways of dealing with his feelings was songwriting/singing about what was happening in his and his bandmates lives. Music allowed Chester to live as long as he did.

"One More Light" was both a title track from and the title of their last album in 2017. That's why this song, "Friendly Fire" is from One More Light sessions. They finished this song and even this music video, but it didn't make the album selection.
This is a new release that was recorded but didn't make the album just like the other song Lost. So old song but never heard outside the band/family/team.
It’s a song that did not make the One More Light Album, it was recorded with Chester during the making of the album. The footage is being released as a video to the song, it just makes me miss Chester so much and once again he always hits you in the feels with his powerful lyrics.
