RIP Chester Bennington. All time legend of the nu metal and rock scene. He did so much more than just become a lead vocalist for LP yall. He put his heart and soul into every song he's been on. Also, I do suggest more Linkin Park reactions as well, coming from a super fan of theirs. I would like to mention a few other songs from that same album, starting with "Wretches And Kings", "The Catalyst" (Official Video) and "The Messenger". I promise, yall will not regret it. Til next time😎
Thank you for reacting to this, and thank you so much Paul for requesting the song! I love this song, and this live performance is fire 🔥 I especially love the line "Cause once you've got a THEORY of how the thing works, everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first" in reference to their debut album Hybrid THEORY, and the line "Not a born leader, I'm a tough act to follow". Sadly for Linkin Park, some of their fans were entitled assholes acting like Linkin Park making different music they didn't like was "a slap in the face" to fans. Instead of going "eh, this direction isn't for me, I'll check back with the next album to see if I like that one better", people would accuse them of "selling out", or act betrayed, or tell them that what they made was "trash", and tell them to "go back to their roots"; as if Linkin Park's roots hasn't always been to push themselves, to experiment with sound, to draw inspiration from whereever they found it regardless of genre boundaries. The closest Linkin Park have been to "selling out" was Meteora, not anything that came after. I'd rather an artist or group make whatever they want to make, and put all their soul and creativity into that, and have them make something that I only enjoy 10% of, than I'd have them make tired, bored and uninspired sequels to their previous work. I don't love everything Linkin Park made, but I love them for making it anyway. Without that attitude, I wouldn't have had my favourite album where this song is from, A Thousand Suns ❤
listen guys i'm gonna be honest. this two knows how to listen to music. both of you really appreciate what you are listening to. much love brother and sister ❤❤❤
This is probably one of their least well known studio album songs, but I always point to it as one of those in their discography that no other band on earth could have made. Love it
The emotion released by the band during this song....enough said.

Haha so happy to see people reacting to this song live! “Wretches and Kings” is a similar song you could check out too.
Fucking love Wretches and Kings. These two songs, The Catalyst and Iridescent should have been on Papercuts.
