The Scooby Doo movies are so nostalgic and the Zombie Island film is one of the best. Even the songs are bangers like the classic theme song and “It’s Terror Time Again.”

In case you guys haven't looked it up yet "Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island" was actually made in 1998.
"It's Terror Time Again" is still one of my all time favorite Scooby-Doo songs! Hell sometimes I still listen to the full verson of the song on repeat whenever I need a song to rock out too!
In fact the atmosphere that the song built up in the movie was so fitting, That it really makes you wonder what it would be like if you were to listen to this song during a real life zombie apocalypse. It would be scary as hell.
I remembered being actually scared by that scene as a little kid. I actually couldn't finish it until later, I think when it was day time lololz.
This was the scariest scooby doo movie when I was a kid. The art style and way they animated the zombies and werewolves freaked me out

This Film Is Dedicated To Don Messick The Original Voice Of Scooby-Doo.
Even though it sucked that the Scooby gang went their separate ways and got real jobs in the beginning of the movie, At least they all got solid career paths. Especially Shaggy and Scooby because working in airport security can be a pretty decent and fulfilling job if you let it.
This movie honestly solidified a lot of how modern shows interpret them and it’s kinda funny. This movie was so good it defined Scooby-Doo for a modern generation.
I'm happy they made them get realistic jobs and not over exaggerating it, for example making Shaggy a world renowned chef or making Velma build life changing stuff and all

Fun fact: Back when this movie was still in production, The casting directors almost recast Frank Welker as Fred because at the time they thought that Frank's Fred voice wasn't as good as it used to be. And it's unbelievable that they would ever even think that, Because if there's one voice that Frank Welker has managed to maintain over the years it's his Fred Jones voice!
True and he still voices Fred to this day which is quite an accomplishment in itself.

I loved how they already suspected Lena and Simone as adults because as a kid, did not suspect them at all. Such a great twist!
This movie had to be the most for real scary Scooby Doo movie I've ever seen in my opinion. I mean the zombies, the villain backstory + deaths, Scoob and Shag nearly getting the life sucked out of them and nearly melted with the voodoo dolls and the animation really helps with all that.

This was the golden Era of Scooby-Doo for me. And the soundtrack slaps harder than my mom when I misbehave!
Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island is my favorite Scooby-Doo movie. I used to have it on VHS as a kid. Now I "own" it digitally.
This is the greatest Scooby movie of all time. The horror, the animation, the thrills, the body count, the score, the soundtrack! Even when I was a young child I knew I was watching a true event. This movie resurrected the Scooby franchise.
I will never forget the terrifying sounds of the magic swirling through the bayou as it came to resurrect the zombies; the inhuman moans that were just the poor zombies trying to warn them; the way Scooby and Shaggy were literally decaying in moments; the sheer body count racked up. And the horror as the werecats finally died a slow, painful demise, and the zombies finally got to pass away in peace.
Seriously, how did the gang sleep after that?
Shaggy is voiced by Billy West because Casey Kasem refused to return unless shaggy became a vegetarian
Scooby is voiced by Scott Ines because Don Messick died before he could record any lines
Daphne is voiced by Mary Kay Bergman because the people who made zombie island wanted someone younger
Fred is the only one who has his original voice actor frank welker but he almost didn’t while Velma was voiced by the actress who voiced her for a Johnny bravo crossover
Say what? Any reason why Casey Kasem refuse to reprise his role?, I know he wanted shaggy to be vegetarian but that can't be the reason right? Or he just hated shaggy?
@@brandonvortex995 no man I swear on my life that I’m being 100% serious he quit being shaggy for that reason as he initially quit voicing Shaggy in the mid to late 1990s when asked to voice Shaggy in a Burger King commercial, but returned in 2002 after negotiating to have Shaggy become a vegetarian once again.
@@Ash1627 Casey Kasem was originally set to reprise his role as Shaggy, but had recently gone vegan and demanded the character follow suit and cut all meat and dairy from his diet. The creative team found this absurd, given that eating anything and everything was a hallmark of the character for decades. In addition, they had already begun production on Zombie Island, which features Shaggy indulging in crawfish and more. The team decided to recast Shaggy with voice actor Billy West. They gave Kasem a last-minute reprieve before recording the film, noting that they could pay-or-play West, though Kasem still refused. (Note: this is from the Scoobypedia wiki page for this movie)

I want to point out the Mark Hamill does the voice for the fisherman, Tara Strong (AKA Truffles) plays Lena and The Ferryman is played by Jim Cummings who provides the voice of Winnie the Pooh.
When I was in preschool, they put this movie on and it was like a kids movie but apparently it was scary. I got scared.
Idk if they already have watched this series but they should totally watch Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated. It’s probably the best version of a Scooby doo show I’ve seen and with the 13th ghosts in second.

It has a special place in my childhood ✌😁 also the reason why the animation in this movie is the same as the movie Alien invaders is because they are part of the same movie saga. This movie is the first in the saga 1998, the second movie is the Witches ghost 1999, then the 3rd movie is Alien invaders 2000, ( which you guys already reacted to ) and the 4th and final movie of the saga is cyber chase 2001.
Out of all the movies in this particular saga I have watched zombie island and Witches ghost the most growing up. If you pay attention there are some easter eggs in each of the 4 movies that shows that they are connected.

Mystery Incorperated was like the only other version of Scooby-Doo that took the right notes from this movie. The perfect balance of horror and comedy.

These are One of the Best Scooby Movies from the 1990's-2000's. Unpopular opinion, I kind of like Alien Invaders a little bit more. It might because of the whole Shaggy having a love interest plot.

I literally have watched every single one cause my mom LOVES Scooby-Doo, some multiple times cause they really are that good, but I have four all time fave Scooby-Doo movies.
1. Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost - in my opinion, the best one to date
2. Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island - which you guys are watching
3. Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School - one of the older Scooby movies but still funny
And
4. Scooby-Doo meets the Boo Brothers - another older movie and, one of a few, that has Scrappy-Doo

They literally remade this movie with a little sequel for it but the original will never be replaced

yo when i was little this scooby doo movie scared the ever loving shit outta me especially the scene where scooby and shaggy are stuck in the pit and the zombie just spawns in and starts creepily moaning i was down right terrified but now that im older i absolutely love each and every one of these movies even the ones that weren't this good like the legend of the vampire or loch ness monster soo good cartoons from the 80's and 90's were and still are the absolute fucking best!!! 😀😄😄
Idc what the movie says Morgan Moonscar was still a villain too th e pirates absolutely got what was coming to them lol now the other zombies like the tourists and soldiers and whatnot, I can understand.
The real big problem with Scooby Doo movies these days is that they set the bar too high when they started with Zombie Island, I doubt any of the newest SD flicks will be able to measure up especially since the cowards currently in charge of WB refuse to use real monsters again.
You two should watch Scooby-Doo Abracadabra Doo, and Scooby-Doo Camp Scare.
