  • 3 Deficiencies You Never Knew Could Cause High Blood Pressure...
High blood pressure can be caused by a number of issues. Obesity, stress, toxic diet, kidney dysfunction, and the list goes on. But often what gets overlooked are the deficiencies that get passed over at doctor's visits or incorrectly addressed. Many people I meet are currently taking supplements for these deficiencies and don't know it could be causing their high blood pressure. So in this video, we'll discuss three critical minerals that play a key role in regulating your blood pressure which is the number one risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, and kidney dysfunction.
I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at age 16 and lived with it into my late twenties. My method was to get rid of the toxicity while you're correcting the deficiencies via supreme nutrition. Check out my Full-Body Detox (14 or 28-Day) on my website below.

Two separate events earlier this year had me sad, afraid, and feeling like my health decline, as an obese prediabetic 50+ year old African American with high blood pressure, was inevitable. My primary doctor kept prescribing meds that I was afraid to take. I started watching your videos, Dr. Price, and paying attention to what I eat, how I live, the amount of sleep, etc. Just as importantly, I started believing I could heal myself. Fast forward, blood sugar normal, weight down and..drumroll..my BP has crept down from averaging 165+/90+ in January 2023 to 126/71 today. I know I looked crazy because I saw my BP today and started crying! Amazing. Stay away from processed food!!

I did a combination of things: 1) CARDIO -In February, I started walking just 15 mins EVERYDAY. It became a habit and I started walking further and further. Now I walk 2 miles. 2) MUSCLE TONE -I started doing minimal exercise CONSISTENTLY, like 5 squats, some half push ups, but then I got better and better. 3) FOOD -I started eating very few carbs, like 30 or less per day. 4) I eliminated almost all processed foods. I drink a smoothie each morning with a slice of Ezekiel bread (flourless). Smoothie ingredients: kale, flaxseed, chia seeds, ginger, blueberries, 1/2 banana, carrots, and 1/2 cup pomegranate juice, spring water. I make 6 salads for the week and every evening I eat a salad with ONE SMALL piece of meat (usually wild caught salmon or 5 shrimp, occasionally a chicken thigh). 5) INTERMITTENT FASTING - this seems to be the most important because it allows your body to reset. I have the smoothie and toast around noon, I have the salad and meat around 6pm. If I want something sweet, I eat a “date ball” (in a powerful blended, put dates, cacao powder, cashews, walnuts, sometimes a little natural peanut butter, roll it into balls and chill. They taste like brownies! ). Before noon and after 7pm, I don’t eat. The health result of doing these 5 things has had AMAZING results for me….Oh, and I started drinking a lot of water. Finally, forgive yourself. If you mess up or miss a day of exercise or walking, forgive yourself and pick back up the next day. I figure, one day is a mistake, two days is a habit.

Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices. Fasting should be investigated as a treatment for disease.

Since I changed my life to #healthylifestyle and consuming Kale, Hemphill seeds, Sesame seeds, avocado, and coconut water, my blood pressure has been normal on a daily basis. My diastolic use to always be high at least 101, but my systolic was okay like 140. Since my #healthylifestyle my b/p is usually 130/80 so I am truly pleased, thank you, so much!!!🙏🏾❤️

There's also a rare condition and leading cause for high blood pressure known as "hyperaldosteronism." It's due to excess aldosterone production by the adrenal gland. Case in point: my mom had "resistant high blood pressure," and it did not respond well to aggressive medical treatment, however. A simple blood test, by a cardiologist, diagnosed my mom with hyperaldosteronism. Since the diagnosis, the cardiologist prescribed a medication that treats the aldosterone, and it has been very effective in reducing my mom's blood pressure. Therefore, I recommend researching the topic.

People need to take personal responsibility for their life and health.
The general over all health of people has declined the last few decades.
Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences.
There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese.
What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications.
Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks.
Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods. Being thin is a sign of good health. Being over weight or obese is a sign of bad health. Poor diet, lack of exercise and obesity are contributing to high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Daily exercise is critical. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it daily.

Dr. Price, thank you for sharing all of your wisdom. I have been on Amlodipine for the last few years. I am 36, female. I am working on addressing weight loss and getting more active (work is very much sedentary). I had a question on Magnesium because there are different types. I take Alive Multivitamin in early afternoon once I break my fast (usually don't eat until after 11a-12p) and also Magnesium Taurate at night. Is this the right type of Magnesium I should be taking?

I agree with you about vitamins. All vitamins are not equal. Synthetic vitamins are not ok.
•What's your opinion on organic, whole food, non gmo, fermented, raw, vitamins?
•I've never seen calcium tested in my blood work.
The way you explained how deficiencies affect how our heart works was great. I got it!

Typically you can take your vitamins in the am on an empty stomach with plenty of water a hour before eating breakfast. When taking supplements with foods with high fat content, it will increase the absorption rate of fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E,K) . In contrast, water soluble vitamins (C, B) are absorbed faster with water and in the absence of fatty food. It's definitely a balance.

This was one of my favorite videos not because of the headline since I do not have HBP, however because you break down the foods we should eat and paired them with the benefit. Please do more of these, they are far more valuable than you think. Good to know I’m on the right road with these plant based foods, although I need to do more green juices…I will definitely share as well! 🙏🏽

Hello Dr. Bobby, I just found your channel and I've subscribed to it. I watched several of your videos now and you are explaining everything. Amazingly, I am struggling right now with high blood pressure, severe anxiety and stomach issues. They think it might be SIBO... I am trying to change all my eating. I was one of the unlucky ones. I'm now struggling with long haul covid symptoms. Spend two and a half years. Ever since I got my second vaccine I've had severe health issues but I've been trying to go plant base because I know there's so many good health benefits. Again, thank you for your videos. They are absolutely amazing.. have a wonderful, amazing blessed day!
