Joel The Hole "So I'll sing to the kingdom of beauty as it began, and I'll dance in its shadows, until it comes again" That's a clear Christian symbolism
I think it’s one of the most intelligent messages I have ever heard in a song. The words were chosen so wisely, with a lot of symbolic meaning. Whoever wrote this song is truly gifted.
Just went to see Josh Garrels at Chic House of Blues and Gray Havens opened up and the Lord Bless me through their music. Had never heard them before. Prayed before concert for artists that the Father would use them to exult the Lord Jesus Christ. The concert was amazing. I think his voice is even better live! Praise the Lord, he makes such beautiful things and amazingly gifts us. All to reveal his glory. We are so nothing without the Love of the Father. I thank Jesus Christ for opening the door to return and the Holy Spirit raising me from the dead.
This is basically my favorite Christian song!!! I even have it on my playlist on the music app on my phone. I got it via Apple Music! My dad bought it and set us up with our own plans!!! 😆😆😆😆😄😄😄😄😁😁😁😁
@@Chaos-94 Agreed, but I think Chris is referring to the fact that most Christian music ironically fails at that goal. You'd think that religion would be a thing to inspire great works of art, and throughout history that has indeed inarguably been the case with the amazing churches all over the world, but unfortunately most contemporary Christian music falls very short. It all sounds the same and doesn't go very deep at all. Not these guys, though. These guys deliver.
IDK if anyone will get the reference, but this reminds me of the "what color is the sky" post on tumblr, except it makes me happy and not wanting to quit life.
It's talking about which color the Lion chose to paint the sky with when He was creating it. Blue was the color that He decided on, but He let the other colors use the sky during sunrises and sunsets.
Beautiful! So many layers of symbolism. I always picture the scene in The Magician's Nephew when Aslan sings Narnia into existence.
HOW CAN THIS BAND NOT BE FAMOUS???? greatest mystery ever.. HIs songs are the best
... and why was this posted in 2014 and it took me until 2019 to discover it. If I Could Turn Back Time

This song does exactly what Christian art should do--helps the listener see the world (or maybe hear it) more richly.

Why did blue win?
