Like..idk how to explain it but they seem closer to their fans and most Japanese idol groups seem to really love their job. You see that sparkle in their eyes when they're dancing or singing despite not being the best in performance. The happiness of their spectators is more important.
It's actually how it is when it comes to japanese idols. If you watch akb girls concerts or even Hey! Say! Jump, It's a different vibe all together in entertainment.

Please don't compare pd101 japan and korea. They are on totally different world. Even Bae yoon jung said that in pd48. You see, most of kpop primary target is to make their audience amazed by their performance, cherish them, like a stars should be. Thats why dancing and singing is an definite skills must to them. Trained hard to get a perfect perform. While Jgroup doesnt really concerns about difficult choreo, their primary target is to make their audience happy, connected to them, feel like boyfriend/girlfriend material. Thats why japan group is super famous for its fansservice. Do you know, that produce 101 japan can take the member from ordinary person?, even inexperienced boys are welcomely joined (written in the audition form) (mean everybody can join)

Their is highly skilled performers in japan (any group from Exile Tribe or E Girl for exemple) Some of thoses trainees are ordinairy people when some other already have a lot of experience in the industry as freelancer (like the center) a lot went to dances schools (pretty famous ones even) and took vocal lessons. Some have been in agencies in the past. Bcs they weren't trained the same way like Kpop idols doesn't mean they aren't skilled or experimented

The japanese yahoo article about them being permanent has been deleted but there are other articles floating around. JO1 debuted March this year. They will be releasing their second album on August 26 with the title track OH-EH-OH. Their debut song is Mugendai (Infinity). From the previous PD101s, at least for me, it was a bit easy to pick my favorites (both girls and boys). PD101 Japan is a lot more difficult to pick. After watching their PR videos, all 101 of them are very much deserving to be on the top 11.

PD101 Japan is a lot more difficult to pick. After watching their PR videos, all 101 of them are very much deserving to be on the top 11.
