Regarding the etymology of the worlds labyrinth, it is indeed arrive from the Greek word "lavyrinthos" and it means maze. This word is very much associated with the ancient Minoan civilization and more particularly with Knossos Palace in Crete. Nice video, regards from Greece! Buon lavoro, vedo tutti i tuoi video di legacy e vintage e sono fantastici. Tanti saluti!
@@Megatron9000 Dear Tyler, too many things to be answered, but I'll try, give you justice though because all our ancient history is full of marvellous stories and myths (by "our" I mean Greek as I am Greek myself). First of all, yes, Minotaur means Minos's bull and Taurus is indeed the direct translation of the word bull and is pronounced "Tavros" in greek, though Minotaur was not just a bull but a monster half bull half human that King Minos (The First Mythical King of Crete) had. The labyrinth, was built by Minos for Minotaur reside there and was designed by Daedalus and Icarus who were imprisoned so none will know the original design. From the other side Pan's Lambyrinth is not exactly the representation of Greek mythology, has its base on Pan (an minor God in ancient Greece) and the idea of the labyrinth wich arrives from the Minoan civilization, but these two things where not directlu connected. I hope that these will throw some light to your queries, and you will find them useful. :)
I was excited for new legacy content before realizing Oko and Uro are pretty busted there too. As always though, glad to have your videos to get me through my days!
@@AndreaMengucci thanks for the reply! I can see the MU being better with some better draws as Skyclave Apparition is such a clean answer to both cards, Oko especially.
I remember playing an FNM when Oko was legal in Standard, my opponent got Oko's loyalty to 27! It was ridiculous, his loyalty was essentially infinite, plus who brings Oko to an FNM!
The reason we aren't on Palace Jailer anymore is because Ice-Fang Coatl can just come down on your turn and steal the monarchy and then you get stonewalled by elks from Oko and the deathtouch body of the snake.
Yeah I figured, although vs Coatl decks Plow are usually useless and can be put at good use for that window. While Jailer being great vs Temur Delver etcetera.
@@AndreaMengucci Jailer is strong against Delver but it's mostly for the Coatl blue-soup style decks as a form of long-term advantage. Against Delver, a 4 drop is really costly; especially when we consider that we're trying to restrict mana with Wastelands and Ports and play around soft permission. Skyclave fills the same role in the Delver matchup of handling problematic permanents at a lower mana commitment and with less risk of things swinging in favor of the opponent by dealing with it. Apparition is a significantly lower risk card with only slightly less reward.
@@Umezete Oh! I misread that haha, thanks, yeah I guess that makes sense, could potentially save you 1 life that's true. I guess most people own Canopys over the others for this deck though as it's been around longer. 1 Life hardly matters vs the GY decks though does it? =)
It looks like there is really no way to tell that the Future Sight printing of Dryad Arbor is green anymore in MTGO. It was originally printed with the text "Dryad Arbor is green", but since then they moved to using color indicators, so that line was removed from the oracle text. However, I can't see that the color indicator is represented anywhere on the Future Sight frame. Am I missing it? It seems you'd just have to know.
Death and taxes with.....Andrea? Thats a really weird way to spell pleasanheeeey wait a second his beard doesnt look as thick as usual either! This might be a different guy!... Hold on this is a wHOLE OTHER MAN THAT ALSO PLAYS LEGACY???
Vialing in the Skyclave on the Oko must have felt fantastic.

37:30 "I believe that if [Gideon, Ally of Zendikar] cost 3 mana, he would still be worse than Oko" oof white magic in 2020 lul

Pre-like just for Spirit of the Labyrinth :')
Silent Clearing over Horizon Canopy isn't slightly better, due Surgical in the sb?
If they bring in surgical and use it on you canopy you are probably not complaining either way...
@@MrTandtrollet He means if you use surgical you can cast it with clearing but not canopy so you lose 1 less life.
@@Umezete Correct.

@1:42 .... Dryad Arbour is NOT colourless.... it says it's green on the card, you find it with Green Sun's Zenith...
At 37:37 if you choose pro-red aren't you up a 3/3?
also, dryad is green
Come on Mangu, Green suns for 0! We still love you though
Of course, i love him !
Dryad Arbor is Green
Glad to see I’m not the only one who caught that. Lol
4:33 I would think you still need judgment to answer TNN?

When you got the jitte in two elves games i felt so bad for them...it’s so hard for elves to beat that card haha
I think the technical term you're looking for is "out-power creeped"!
Dryad Arbor is green
Im still a fan of jailer in dnt if its bad against a matchup simply just side it out.
like and comment for the self punt roast
Uuhnahder veeedeeo!
Just build this deck irl 😁 thx

Getting wastelanded out of the game by 3-4-5 colour decks when you are the wasteland deck... those are some horrible draws...
lmao that first game was so lame it hurts
Death and taxed sucks.
