OK! so i know this isnt really related to this video but one thing i enjoy about kevin is his great scenes and lighting(and as a bonus great camera/camera angles
I remember seeing a 3D printed grip that had a *cup holder* jammed into the middle of it. I'm considering printing one of those (or modifying it to add actual grips as well)
I haven't gotten around to getting the switch yet but I've in store demoed and I honestly just like using the straps on the controllers and having them sperate
See that’s the problem, I’ve had bad experiences with Nyko in the past with my Xbox 360 once, it ruined my Kinect that I was “connected” with (lol) and I was torn apart
About the Nyko grib... It's not the grip that's wearing but the joy cons but since the grips itself wasn't very strong to begin with if the joy cons get worn they start slipping. I happen to get a brand new pair of joy cons after my current ones started slipping and the new snapped in like the whole setup was new. Still a major issue but I want to get specific about it.
Nope. Current Order is this: XBox One > Switch Pro > Gamecube. The way PS positions their sticks is uncomfortable for anyone that doesn't have baby hands.
yeah, Nintendo sometimes fails with their controllers BECAUSE THEY INVENT! I haven't seen an invention in controllers from xbox or playstation the last decade. Don't get me wrong, they're nice, but the controllers always stay the same
I bought a pro controller soon after I got my Switch and I've had absolutely no problem with either the stock grip or the pro controller they're both comfortable.
Cyberbrickmaster1986 you are wrong I bought that one but without the splatoon part for $10 on amazon and it is is so much better it does not look different but trust me it is i extremely think that anyone that has a switch should get this
I love the standard grip. After playing through BotW, I tried to go back to using my ps4 controller for Rocket League and hated it. It felt so bulky and heavy, and not as comfortable as the standard grip at all. Nintendo has me sold on these things, and thank goodness they do because the pro controller could not be any more expensive as far as the market goes.
The provided grip is definitely a matter of opinion BUT the 3D printed ones are IDEAL if you have the joycon covers that you don't want to remove every time you want to connect the controllers to a grip.
wish there was like a nylon type one with a stretchy grip so they'd be attached and if they felt too close I could stretch it. Make it stretch big enough for my switch and if the screen can fit then so can my case for my cartridges and my head phones.
The regular joycon are good for me but the grip will make everything improve most def.. having said that, is the first joycon that you demonstrated wired? I don't like wireless connection on joycons, sometimes they disconnect and reconnect between combos in new melee, SSBU
Agreed--it looks really cool, and I like the tri-force being in the center, but...ugh. Not to mention, the way the joycon are angled when putting them in looks pretty cumbersome for game-play. =w=;
My school has an ultimaker 2 extended 3d printer wich we can you as much as we like. Is there any place where you can find the dimensions or a 3d model of the rails so that I can try modeling my own grips?
I currently have a pro controller and the two joycons that came with my Switch. Should I buy another pair of joycons with a grip or another pro controller. I do mostly play by myself but there are quite a few times when I find myself playing multiplayer.
I have a niko wii controller and my original wii controller doesn’t work anymore but the niko controller stop works and I was a little kid when my parents got the wii
The standard grip isn't that bad but I also don't play hours on end in one sitting. So I never found a need for a charging grip nor a grip with padding. Although I do like the idea of the space in the front to store games like the one you showed. I do have a 3D printer but haven't tried to make new grips for the joy cons yet.
Keep in mind, the original you get with the switch is made specifically for kids but adults can use it. I personally love the joycon grip and still use it.
You said that the Nyko option is the most expensive option, but its actually the cheapest option on your list? I fail to see how this is expensive compared to grips like the Splatoon grip
The first option is probably the most tempting in terms of comfort, which would be good for my large hands. Sucks that they don't come in rechargeable versions. But hey, I still have a Joy-Con charging station so it's all good.
Can anyone please help me? I have gel cover cases on both my joy con's and when ever I want to put my joy con's on comfort grip I have to remove the covers on my joy con's because they don't fit the grip. Any help?
Actually, the only thing he got were these white replacement shells off of Amazon--basically, you get to customize your joycon controllers with these, but I've heard you need to be careful, as it's a little hard, so slow is best. >w< I'm thinking about getting the see-through blue case later on, since I've always been a HUGE fan of that particular shade of blue. I actually think the standard grip feels so nice!!
Same! I actually find the standard grip better than a joycon in each hand!
sunsbookisgamesx I also think a standard "grip" feels nice... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
sunsbookishgamesx exactly
RenaissanceWok :O Same!
pro controller is the best option by far imo
I like the standard grip but the alternatives look pretty nice!

Why would you choose the 3d printed design? When you move your analogue stick up it ends up going at a diagonal
No, your hands are also tilted when you hold the joy-cons.
your hands are tilted too, so you can still move the sticks naturally.
Pretty sure our brains don’t get affected by that.. look at a VR control both hands are holding controls separately.
@@grapec0laYT actually, both analog and analogue are correct ways of spelling it, look it up.
@@grapec0laYT Us Europeans tend to know how to spell worlds we created
Pls, dont forget to put the item names on the video description
1. Power A Grip
2. Nyko Power Grip
3. Etsy 3D Printed Grip
He's better off writing articles if that's the case
0:37 Hey Kevin, your right neon red Joycon’s battery is dying

YES THE ZELDA ONE IS WIDE! I need something that replicates the way it feels in handheld mode while I play on the tv! Thank you!
Honestly i find no problem with the joycon grip.
I found it horrible.
I think it's more of an issue for people with really big hands
Me too I play a LOT MORE GAMES WITH IT
It's ok

Kevin, stop thinkin we don't like the grip.
It's really good.

I agree. He should've said that the grip is a grip that he doesn't like.
I love your content! Keep it up!
I remember seeing a 3D printed grip that had a *cup holder* jammed into the middle of it. I'm considering printing one of those (or modifying it to add actual grips as well)
This is a great channel, *HIGHLY* underrated.
Quite the hack 3D printing job.
The joycon grips are fine, but the Pro Controller is really good as well.
Im 6'4 big hands and the stock grip is pretty comfortable. No complaints. Disliking something for no reason doesn't make you different or quirky.
I really like the standard grip. I would even go as far as to say its the most comfortable controller I've ever used. Better than Xbox and PS IMO.
Tobbe AKA Tabbarn Are you high?
I got the PowerA wireless controller and its so good specially the art done to them
I like the standard grip feel.... But that 3d printed grip loocks so cool
2:30 You could also use it to connect your joycons to your phone and use them for something like an emulator
The grip looks so cool what would you think about a game like portal coming to switch?
HighwayPanda I’ve never played portal but I think I’d love to see it on the switch :D
A Slice of Toast skyrim, la noire, the world ends with you. Portal is just as likely as any of those
HighwayPanda i'd SO buy a portal and portal 2 port. love both games.
twoade If they port portal 2 I'll buy 2 more joycons.
I enjoy the standard and have no problems with it. But, these upgrades seems pretty neat too.
I just 3D printed a joycon grip, and it is so cool!
Another great quality video! I see a lot of the same stuff in TH-cam videos, but I always see something new in yours!
What about the Satisfye mini grip?
Or you can just not be a baby about hard plastic. The ps4 controller in my opinion is the best controller design and it has hard plastic grip handles.
So does the pro controller I'm pretty sure he wasn't complaining bout the plastic 😴
Nope. Current Order is this: XBox One > Switch Pro > Gamecube. The way PS positions their sticks is uncomfortable for anyone that doesn't have baby hands.
Xbox, both 360 and ONE, has far superior pads. I like them both and can use 'em both, but Xbox pad beats PlayStation pad, by a mile.
James TW Xbox controllers are made for big hands. Perfect for Americans like myself
yeah, Nintendo sometimes fails with their controllers BECAUSE THEY INVENT! I haven't seen an invention in controllers from xbox or playstation the last decade. Don't get me wrong, they're nice, but the controllers always stay the same
The standard grip is just fine!
4:09 could have used the mushroom to dodge the blue shell
Great video I love all your joy con variations :) !!
WTF etsy the quality of the print is just pure garbage. I would never sell a print like that to anyone
Phyx I wouldn't ask more like 15 bucks for printing that

I bought a pro controller soon after I got my Switch and I've had absolutely no problem with either the stock grip or the pro controller they're both comfortable.
The first one is literally the official Nintendo Switch Comfort Grip, but with a Splatoon 2 design!
Cyberbrickmaster1986 you are wrong I bought that one but without the splatoon part for $10 on amazon and it is is so much better it does not look different but trust me it is i extremely think that anyone that has a switch should get this
Okay then. I'll consider getting it some time.
Cyberbrickmaster1986 you should my only problem with it is its a little bit hard to get off the joy cons
Kevin u are the best channel
I love the standard grip. After playing through BotW, I tried to go back to using my ps4 controller for Rocket League and hated it. It felt so bulky and heavy, and not as comfortable as the standard grip at all. Nintendo has me sold on these things, and thank goodness they do because the pro controller could not be any more expensive as far as the market goes.
Standard grip is good enough for my needs. My hand aren’t too big and overall it feel pretty comfortable in my hands.
I actually got the Splatoon grip because the handles on it are actually bigger I mean they are bigger and easier for me to use.
The provided grip is definitely a matter of opinion BUT the 3D printed ones are IDEAL if you have the joycon covers that you don't want to remove every time you want to connect the controllers to a grip.
I bet if you use sugru you could modify the joycon grip to make it bigger and more comfortable. You should try it
Are you sure it’s the grips problem to pop out the joy cons or is it the joy cons broken and they slide out freely
wish there was like a nylon type one with a stretchy grip so they'd be attached and if they felt too close I could stretch it.
Make it stretch big enough for my switch and if the screen can fit then so can my case for my cartridges and my head phones.
I preffer playing without any grip at all. I find using it separately really comfy, I can lay down and still play on my TV no problem
i think it would be cool to have a joycon grip that would be wide enough so it’s just like the wii u gamepad, for games like splatoon 2.
Havent tried the joy con grip yet but I don't know why but it looks comfortable to me
The regular joycon are good for me but the grip will make everything improve most def.. having said that, is the first joycon that you demonstrated wired? I don't like wireless connection on joycons, sometimes they disconnect and reconnect between combos in new melee, SSBU
But the joy cons don’t get stiff if I am using the straps and there a bit loose and they wobble a little bit
does a thin clear case fit on the og grip i dont have a switch and im buying one on christmas with alot of accessories
I agree, using the joy cons separately is the best way to use the joy cons
Hey could somebody tell me how I can get these joycons 2:53 ?
That's one horrible looking 3d print job
Agreed--it looks really cool, and I like the tri-force being in the center, but...ugh. Not to mention, the way the joycon are angled when putting them in looks pretty cumbersome for game-play. =w=;
WOW... it’s because the 3D printer was not as high quality as possible... damn.
[]HĒŁŁ [] KNĪGHT [] are you dumb? There are lots of factors in play you think Kevin's printer is trash? It's the design and the fillament
My school has an ultimaker 2 extended 3d printer wich we can you as much as we like. Is there any place where you can find the dimensions or a 3d model of the rails so that I can try modeling my own grips?
I actually like the regular joycon grip I don’t find any problem people just express their feelings in a weird way XD
I currently have a pro controller and the two joycons that came with my Switch. Should I buy another pair of joycons with a grip or another pro controller. I do mostly play by myself but there are quite a few times when I find myself playing multiplayer.
Does anyone know if you can take off the actual strap part off without snipping it off leaving a thread end?
I love the standard grip :( It feels so comfy in my hands to me
How do you get the Nintendo switch emulator? I have been searching for sooooo long
0:17 what is a pro classic controller?
I life that grip with the chargers and all that stuff, what I want is to play some good old Mario 64 with the joycons on my phone
I have a niko wii controller and my original wii controller doesn’t work anymore but the niko controller stop works and I was a little kid when my parents got the wii
i just like the nyko one its so cool
and the triforce one
OMG I want the first one and the second one combined
I'm sticking to the og ones n my 8bitdo controller. Might get a pro later on! Those skins look nice, keen to see the mario one.
Anyone know where i can buy the grip seperately? Like the original one u get from the box
I have a red version of the splatoon comfort grip you showed (it has no design, it's just red)
The pro controller is usually sold out here in boston
the ad i got at the start was about joy con and switch grips XD
The standard grip isn't that bad but I also don't play hours on end in one sitting. So I never found a need for a charging grip nor a grip with padding. Although I do like the idea of the space in the front to store games like the one you showed. I do have a 3D printer but haven't tried to make new grips for the joy cons yet.
I don't mind the grip that comes with the Nintendo switch I use it all the time
The standard grip fits perfectly in my (small) hands.
Keep in mind, the original you get with the switch is made specifically for kids but adults can use it. I personally love the joycon grip and still use it.
Where can I get those NES joy cons
Wait, NYKO still exists? Last time I heard that name is when they made WII controllers. (in 2008)
You said that the Nyko option is the most expensive option, but its actually the cheapest option on your list? I fail to see how this is expensive compared to grips like the Splatoon grip
With the power grip can u fit the switch in that clip
I know it's an uncultured question but whats the triangle in the last one?
i like the standard grip it feels nice in my hands a bit slippery but nice
I love the joycon grip idk why
The pro controllers in Canada cost $99.99
Slasher sor-ee thats not good
oh shit
Ya bro the Canadian Struggle :'(
Slasher that's why I bought the $40 horipad but the right stick is a bit too uncomfortable :/
Where you at in Calgary it is 80 and the joycon pair is 100
i frankesntiend one together using the jcg. and an old broken ps3 controller. works perfectly
The first option is probably the most tempting in terms of comfort, which would be good for my large hands. Sucks that they don't come in rechargeable versions. But hey, I still have a Joy-Con charging station so it's all good.
Where can I buy these grips in the end of the video?
Hey could talk about unofficial joycons that may not drift
For Minecraft fans they could use the Second Grip with the phone holder to look at photos for builds and blueprints
Anybody know the artist of the music playing at the start?
Can anyone please help me? I have gel cover cases on both my joy con's and when ever I want to put my joy con's on comfort grip I have to remove the covers on my joy con's because they don't fit the grip. Any help?
The Pro Controller is $70 bucks by the way.
$60 in North America
$69.99 plus applicable taxes for most places in the US
I think the grip should have just had the same kind of design as the GameCube controller and everyone would've been happy.
Stock Grip is just fine. Comfort level just fine
nothing wrong with it what so ever. can play with it for how many hours i want without any problems.
Where do I can get the Zelda ones tho?
After using the Switch Pro Controller I could never go back to joycon grip. The Pro controller is my favorite current controller.
We're did you get those white joycons I need them
Actually, the only thing he got were these white replacement shells off of Amazon--basically, you get to customize your joycon controllers with these, but I've heard you need to be careful, as it's a little hard, so slow is best. >w< I'm thinking about getting the see-through blue case later on, since I've always been a HUGE fan of that particular shade of blue.
