    In this video Adam from Tentworld Ipswich explains the differences between the two Coleman HWOD models. The H2Oasis Standard, and the H2Oasis Elite.
    The Coleman Hot Water On Demand is one of the oldest portable camping hot water shower systems in the marketplace. The newest versions, the HWOD H2Oasis range has been released in two models.
    The Standard & Elite.
    The Elite receives the following upgrades from the Standard H2Oasis unit:
    - Digital Control Panel - Shows temperature, and error codes.
    - Multi mode shower head - allows for different settings to suit user.
    - Included 12v charger.
    - Battery disconnect - ensures that your battery does not discharge any quicker than it must.
    We think the Coleman H2Oasis is well worth your consideration for inclusion in your camping kit. We do however sell a range of other terrific hot water systems also worth your consideration.
    For easy hot water when camping, it's hard to go past an instant hot water shower system.

    Why can’t you use a 10 dollar 110v to 12v converter wall plug adapter and charge it at home? I did this and it took a full charge in about 2 hours, not the 4 to 6 hours it claims.

    • @tentworld
      @tentworld  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No reason why you can't. Charge time depends on level of discharge

      This is discontinued by Coleman now. They haven't got a hot water system available currently. Check out the Companion Aquaheat

    I brought mine today and it leaks bad from the handel joint?
    Is there surpose to be an additional washer?

    • @tentworld
      @tentworld  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There should be a washer for it, and you do need this to stop it from leaking. The washer comes packaged in its own small plastic bag, and we have had other customers accidentally discard this with the rest of their packaging. Take a look at all your plastic wrapping, and I'd imagine you'll find your washer there. Cheers, Tentworld team.

    How long should it take to charge on 12 volt , will it drain the battery of the vehicle .

    • @tentworld
      @tentworld  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John, if you're going on an extended trip where 12v will only be available for some time. My recommendation is to ensure it's fully charged prior to leaving. Give it a good charge for 48 hours or more. Then whilst you're away, plug it in every day to top it up for what you used the previous day.
      IF you were to leave it drain empty before trying to charge again, this can take 4-6 hours or more if it's deeply discharged.
      RE: Will it drain the battery in your vehicle. That depends. IF you're using the factory installed 12v outlet in your vehicle - then this plug is typically only active if your engine is on or if you have the car on accessories. If the engine is on, then no it wont discharge your battery as your cars alternator is well and truly able to keep up with the charging demands of this unit. I wouldnt recommend charging by using accessorys. As this runs a lot of other equipment in your vehicle - it would quickly discharge your starting battery. Best bet to charge if you dont want to run your engine, is to buy a alligator to cigarette lighter adapter, to allow you to go directly to the battery. You should be safe to do this for a couple of hours withour fear of discharging your battery too much, but of course this is variable depending on your vehicle, the state of charge of that battery before you started etc etc. I hope this helps!!

    So neither unit has a way to stop the flow of water when in limited supply. Not everybody brings a few hundred gallons of water on a camping trip. It would be nice to be able to turn off the shower head while soaping or lathering and then resume for rinsing. I don't understand why it does not have this feature. Other much cheaper brands are able to do this. Some units even completely shut down the system and then resume operation with a simple click of a button on the shower head. I assume that this unit requires constant flowing water while in use or it may damage it. That's a shame and a deal breaker.

      IN limited water situations - we recommend recirculating the water - its like having a bath, but with a lot less water.

      These are discontinued in Australia now. Currently Coleman do not offer a hot water heater option. Check out our other systems here www.tentworld.com.au/camping-equipment/bathroom-and-laundry/portable-hot-water-sytems/

      Tentworld - The Camping Experts do you if you can you put a head on that you can turn off the water? Is the shower head replaceable?

    • @tentworld
      @tentworld  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@erikmitlo sadly no. It'll turn off and will need to be restarted from the unit. The companion aquacube, joolca hot tap and smarttek all do this though.

      Hi Mickey, no doubt these older videos the audio was bad. Sorry you've found it too bad to listen to. We've done a lot since this video to improve our audio and videos in general. That being said, we were able to hear everything,, so if you're really hoping to listen to this one - maybe try use another device to see if that improves things for you.

      We had been recording these videos on phones back in the past- so the audio quality wasn't great, our current videos are lot higher quality, in the meantime, there is a closed caption option for subtitles which will help!
