What she did is absolutely wonderful, but one needs to risk their own safety to meet the definition of “hero”. That word gets tossed around far too casually.
@@timberwolfdtproductions3890 Doctors aren't always at risk when attending a patient yet people call them heroes. I don't think risking your life has much to do with it. As long as you are willing to help with all your heart, you're still sacrificing something such as your time. She's a hero in my book without a doubt.

Yes, yes it did bring a tear to my eye. It's that agape unconditional love. Its a cruel world out there and every life has value. Even that little Foal has value. Poor little guy would have died hungry, alone, and scared if this kind hearted woman did take him in.

He looks to be a dwarf mini horse, the build is right for it. mini horses were created from dwarf horses and should never have been bred, too many of the foals ''aren't right'' and get put down very early on.

When it said "His auction sticker was glued on so hard that it had to be cut off of him"...the cruelty of that small statement broke my heart. To think that sentient beings with emotions like ours can be taken from their mothers, labeled & sold like inanimate objects...& it happens all day every day to so many kinds of our fellow beings.
The world & the human species can be so cruel. But people like this lady are the flip side of the coin. People like her & the innocents she helps are the beauty in the world. I wish there was more of the latter than the former.

Oh my God! I didnt realize there was more to the story. Glued on sticker? How appauling! I never knew this was happening. It breaks my heart. Thank God for the angels who saved him. I hope be has a good long life. Sweet dog knows exactly what to do too.

That sweet baby. Why was he taken from his mother? Whoever did that should be put in jail or fined a big fee. I am so glad he got better.
I thought the same thing, auctions should refuse to take 2 week old unweaned foals on principle! Shocking a bunch of people agreed to this sale. I imagine the owners could see the health issues the foal had and thought they were worse than they could afford to tried to sell him. Unbelievable.

@@marcshields3677 ; That might be true. But, it does say that she took him to her ranch. If she has her own ranch, I’m guessing she is probably retired & has a fairly decent retirement income. Either that, or her husband has a really superb job, and/or retirement income himself, or both. Or, maybe one or both of them are independently wealthy. I don’t know, since it wasn’t mentioned here. But, if she needed more money, in order to keep caring for the animals she currently has, or to do more animal rescue work, then I would think they would’ve mentioned that in the video & they would’ve told viewers where to find a link for a fund raiser page, or something like that. 🤷🏻♀️💜🖖🏼💜🤷🏻♂️

Simply put : 'You save him, you save me.' I feel saved. I feel connected to how you saved him from an otherwise dark destiny, to a such a loving grace. It's amazing how watching your tender caress is communicated universally to any living being. I am so proud of your actions and feel alive because of you too.

I cried tears of joy when I saw sweet, beautiful Tubby take his first little jump for joy, and then it was just amazing to watch him running around with his gorgeous pup siblings. Awwww. Heart breaking that they took him from his momma. Some times it isn’t about business, it’s about life. I wish businesses would take that into the equation. Give life/love a fair chance without looking at their bottom line
You see the same in puppy breeding that’s a bit on the shady side-it’s all about the money. They use a mama until she’s nearly broken, then they get rid of her, and let’s not even talk about what they do with the puppies with physical problems.
YES! Preach it! It's sickening how people are ruled by the dollar. And I see it's worse now than ever. Even in regular customer service, people don't take pride in their work or bring passion or compassion to the table anymore, but life is not a thing to abuse, life is a sacred gift to make the most of to bring our gifts and to cherish all of life's wondrous gifts with love and care. From the food to the seas, to animals, to the skies, are being corrupted by man corrupted with greed. Humanity needs deep healing in their hearts and souls so that they can properly care for life and the earth and all it's creatures with love, and only Jesus can give people that kind of inner healing that is so desperately needed now. Because only hearts with love see rightly and do right and good to what is around them. I knew someone once that claimed to be a huge animal and nature lover and advocate, while simultaneously being full of hatred to all humanity, but it is an oxymoron to believe hatred will bring healing and balance and love to all living things, and healing, balance, and love is what all living things need to live, grow, and thrive. Yet this person couldn't stand dogs, probably because dogs can sense the bad in people. But no matter what anyone else is doing, choose love, because love does conquer all! And as long as we have love from God in our hearts, we will be the light we wish to see. God bless you Connie!
I wish consumers of dairy knew how many baby calves are killed because we take their milk instead of letting them nurse and bond with their moms.

To take him away from his mom was so cruel. One can read everywhere when to do it and when it is too early but it still happens all the time that people do it too early and it is so upsetting.

This was a beautiful story - and so wonderful to see how your love and care turned his sad life around! But I was waiting for the part of the story where the people (and his birth mom) he was stolen from said you could keep him....or you advertised and no one claimed him. It would be nice to hear "the rest of the story". But again so joyful to see such an incredibly happy little guy and the love he has for you and his life!

Love how you love him! I'd have done the same thing here on the ranch.
I am the one who when an old cow goes down and can't get up, is out in the pasture stacking hay around her and throwing on a warm horse blanket, toting water until she has the will or strength to get back up. So I appreciate others who take such care of an animal. Unlike how farmers and ranchers are portrayed in the media, we care for our animals and don't look at them as just our "income". I grew up on a farm and have been on a ranch for over 30 years, and everybody I know goes to extra miles to care for animals who need help.
We had an older cow this spring that was down for a week, up for a day, then down for a week or more, then back up, and this went on for nearly a month, which isn't a great outlook. However, Easter Sunday when my husband went to dump her a load of hay with the tractor she got up and STAYED up!
We told everybody "She has risen, she has risen indeed"! LOL And of all times, Easter Sunday morning!! What a gift from above.
By the way, she had her calf about a week or so later and she has been up and pretty much normal ever since.

There is 1% of everything on earth that makes the 99% look bad, ranchers included. I board my horse at a ranch where the cows and bulls come to get scratching on their polls. Cows are so gentle, but I love my horse even more.

There's a lady near my house that has several small ponies, One or two pull her along in tiny carts but the others she has are tiny and wouldn't be able to pull them, She walks those like dogs on leashes and lets them scoff the grass verges!!

It was wonderful to see him give a little jump and engage in his environment. It always comes down to love and the giving of it to others regardless of their physical form.
