I bought a mixing bank full of envirobase toners a couple years ago for my little shop. I spent more time filtering paint than I care to think about. There was always trash in the paint. Bought some cheap rm base coat for a small job and realized how much of a difference there was. Think I’m done with envirobase.

I've used PPG for a year now too and it's a struggle to say the least. I'm going back to a glasurit shop next month and I can't wait to use a product that's easier to use.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your ANI black gun, I'm so stoked with your old ANI silver I got from you, it sprays so well and with anything I put through it.. acrylic or two pack and clear... It's such a sweet gun..
Been on cromax pro for a few years now, and Iv found the same. Always use blender even on blacks or else you get that grainyness that can come through to the clearcoat. Also spray it at 1.75 bar always for the basecoat works best with a gti pro 1.2.

In my opinion, it is the painter, not the system, that is more important. So you will always handle it because you are the master at what you do. And if you could compare the Ani 200 Clar with Devilbiss Pro Lite TE-25.

Is there a cost difference from Standox to PPG? Wondering why a shop is usually PPG. My wifes car had the bumper of her car repainted with PPG and is chipping on backside of fender lip. I sprayed a different car with Sherwin williams solvent-still holding up. I think PPG H2O isn't the best quality.
Waterborne base gives smooth top. But remember my mercedes w210 rusting because of waterborne base material from factory in Germany. .. Has it changed with time....?
Agree he’s loved stando since day dot. Although we witnessed a few miracles in his Perth shop going back to basics and mid range paint systems. Pretty sure he can get a quality job out of an export can if he had too. He just prefers perfection strait up and that’s what makes him the sort after tradesmen!

I can’t stand PPg. I switched to Wanda for everything. There’s no variants , only 1 and I’ve never had any issues matching. You can panel paint all day long and screw using color blender you don’t need it

I was wondering where can I buy standox? Would I have to buy through a paint and body shop or are there shops that sell the products? I have a job that I did and it turned out ok but I know I can do a better job. I have googled for the paints and can't seem to find anything.
Yes agree completely PPG is not as user friendly as painters are told when putting in a system. Plus PPG industries was the company that got in bed with NRMA when that had the funny money funny times system going and it was lower than the MTA times here in Nsw

I've been using Valspar base coat and ppg 2021 clear. 2 gal of clear ,1gal reducer and 2 qts catalyst, 1000.00

I started painting at 6 am ,the temperatures now adays don't allow you to paint when the panel is over 100 degrees.

Here in the netherlands we have a saying overal iets nergens niks . Meaning every shop has its down sides but there is no such thing as a perfect shop

We all Invision our clear coat coming out like this. Wouldn't cut and polish this no way.
