I personally have seen the mustang in this video, last I saw the car it was 850hp and did a burn out that reminded me of funny cars from the 70's. The boss motor is the hemi's worst nightmare. Oh and that's 850hp on gasoline. no nitro, intros, turbocharged, or supercharger.
The boss is definitely not the Hemi’s worst nightmare lol. Those things need extensive modification to remotely hang with a 426. It took Jon Kaase to rework and make those things capable of doing anything. In stockish form a 429 SCJ will absolutely work a Boss 429.
So you both know, the new version is called the Ford GT. It's the new version of the old GT40. Secondly, Mustangs are meant to compete with the Fbody (Camaro/Firebird). Just because they quit making them doesn't mean the Mustang is all of a sudden in the Corvette class. No, it's still out to compete with other 4/5 seater cars.

However, they do make HIGH END Mustangs that are a lot faster than the GT that you might compare it with if it's in the same price range. Hell GM is almost pricing itself out of the range with the new Camaro. The same people that bought the Camaro back in 2002, wont be able to afford it in 2010.
ford made the move to mod motors to save money. they needed a motor that could go in just about all of their cars and trucks with little change done to the assy line!

The stang lost oil pressure on the road test and lost. The thing that made the mustang win in my mind was the astonishing 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds and a burn out that left a pile of rubber burning on the ground.
@branden1979 Mustang GT currently weights around 3,600 lbs and no where near 3,900 lbs. The GT 500 weighs 3,800 and the Boss 302 weighs less than the Mustang GT.

It wasn't Austin Healy.....the entire car was sourced from AC ..short for Autocarriers which had no relation to Austin. Carrol Shelby installed a Ford 260...as well as the 289, tthe 427 came later, and it was a totally different chassis and slightly different body...

@JDYDesigns newer v-6 mustangs are quicker and out handle the v6 camaro. The ss gets beat by the newer gt so the v6 camaro would get destroyed by it.
