    Hi there from the other video "Creepy Caged Creatures" LOL... The question you asked is there a way to defeat the 15 minutes time limit on that chair massager. The answer is... maybe... I'd need to see inside that remote and the voltage on the motor to see if the power could be directly connected to the motor, most likely it can... then that basically eliminates the logic of the remote control... I'd gut the electronics in that remote and put a simple inline switch to turn it on and off... then you can "set it and forget it" LOL... Oh one other caveat... the reversing motion might need something to do that unless the limit switches do that logic for you, otherwise it might need some electronics to solve that... it's not hard to do, but you need to know if that is needed or not

    There is a children's toy..its a ball that shakes and bounces on the floor by itself. You can put it with your other props . Place it on the ground cover it with a black bag and cover the bag with leaves . The leaves will shake and rattle . Pretty cool.

    Love this idea. I know it was posted a year ago but how did you keep it safe for rain? Is the chair waterproof?

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms
      @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Denise King for watching and asking this question. Water will find it's way into everything, so no, this is not waterproof. I always kept sheets of black plastic nearby to cover electric props incase of rain. Additionally, always waterproof all electrical connections by having them in or covered by something waterproof, just the morning's dew can cause electrical havoc.

    I'm thinking of doing something like this except using a reindeer motor, I got the fake "weeds" and Styrofoam 1/2 rounds from Michael's... and I've got some stretchy fabric to lay over the whole thing to hide the mechanism... I know it will require a wooden base, linkage and a spacer to prevent the unit from interfering with itself... So what I'm imagining is a horizontal version of a grave popper... any suggestions?

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms
      @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Off the top of my head, a rotating arm connected to the deer motor with a small, pivoting ball caster (or some type of smooth, rounded object to reduce drag) facing up, on the end of the arm. You will probably need a more substantial piece of flexible material, such as rubber pond liner (Lowe's, Home Depot), to go over the rotating arm, and then the stretchy material over that. That is my two cents worth. Good luck!

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms
      @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes or tarp it, since it is not water tight. Anything electrical needs to be protected from the rain.

    Going thru the back catalog of your videos, great stuff! Did you have a hack to keep the massager running longer than 15 minutes? I'm guessing the auto-off is to give the motor a break or prevent over use by the consumer. Would be nice to have it run for a few hours in the evening without a reset. Thanks for the vids, your shooting, editing and graphics are on par with the awesome content.

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms

      Hi Lee. Yes, that is a bother, so if anyone knows how to keep the massager running for more than 15 minutes, please let me know!! Thanks for watching and for the question.

      Hi Punky, like any electrical device water is not it's friend! The nice thing about this prop is that it is so portable it can easily be brought inside until the rain passes.

    Is there a way to bypass The 15 minute cycle? I bought a used Homedics SBM-200 Shiatsu massager. Using it outside in a train drive by setting

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms
      @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At this time, I do not know how to bypass the timed cycle. It is one of the drawbacks of the massager, so I make sure that the controls are hidden but also easy to access.

    Pretty much as long as it has motion to it that will make whatever is up top rotate and equally move around, you can cover it up with a old piece of cloth anddecorate it that way. That is kinda how I would do it, I would probably paint it as well with some red paint and equally put leaves around it to make it look bloody and maybe add a couple skeleton heads too to it, that will be also painted to add to the decoration. Yeah that'd be what I'd do to it.

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms

      Hi aG. Hopefully I inspire others to customize these props and make it their own. Personally, I am not one for guts and gore.

      @@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms Its a idea off of mine for decoration, I do like to add llines of red paint into skeletons and skulls and all that for decoration ha ha. Hopefully people do get inspired especially on Halloween.

    How did you make the skeleton not fall

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms
      @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mike, pretty much the same as the pumpkin. I used an even larger stiff cardboard disk and attached it to the bottom of the plastic rib cage (I only used the upper half of the skeleton) using a glue gun. I then attached it using the extra wide velcro, which also allowed me to reposition it. The bent arms touched the ground, so they also helped to stabilize it. Thanks for asking.

    Do you have to push the buttons every 15 minutes?

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms
      @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, depending on the make and model you do need to push the buttons every 15 to 20 minutes. The controller usually comes with a 6' cord so I discreetly place it where I can reset it when need be (I am outside with my haunt display anyway).
      I've looked into overriding this but the wiring is pretty complicated. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know how it can be done.
      Thanks Courtney for the question and for taking the time to leave a comment.
