It centres around a dystopian society (Libria) that forces its citizens to drug themselves to eliminate most of their emotions, with the State being like the Communist 1984 regime centred around a figure named Father. It sends a special task force to eliminate anyone who goes off the drugs and tries to rebel. When of their most lethal members, Preston, goes off the drugs accidentally, he begins to see what his society has become. What follows is him trying to seek out the Underground while hiding his ability to feel.

David is like a God who just watches and waits for judgment day, not lifting a finger to help people in places like Syria, Palestine, or anywhere else in the world where lives are in danger.

Honestly after watching the scorch trials again I agree with you lot, I so badly wanted to love it because I fell in love with the franchise and I love dylan O'brien as an actor but there was too much action and it was dissapointing. I've read the books and it's like Divergent is the best, Insurgent is okay and Allegiant is the worst of them. I think they are going for that for the films, so nothing really changed.
i want to know what happens in ascendant as it’s own story. the movies are better than the book in their own way, whether it be the more ambiguous characters or the ability to get lessons across without having an overbearing amount of fan fiction type of romance. it’s so real it really gets the points of the book across almost better than the book. the director and everyone else working on this series are incredible.
Seems like you were one of the few who liked where the films were going. Even the actors didn't seem on board with where the story was going which according to them appeared to be nowhere.
Although it's different from the book, I think that this movie will be great. Divergent was the only one that was actually somewhat similar to the book, but insurgent and allegiant I think will be very different. I think the director had a specific intention to keep the movie more exiting, I guess, in insurgent. By creating the message inside the box and Tris going through the "real but not real" stimulations to get the message, I think I gives more of an excitement than Tris being scanned in the brain and all that for Jeanine Matthews. *IN MY OPINION* I personally, think that Tris being delivered to her death in the movie is better than in the book version. But the rest in the book I like better than the movie. Allegiant I think will be perhaps somewhat similar to the difference in insurgent. Meaning that I think they will have the same differential rate from the movie and the book. Either way, I would agree that all the movies are great and awesome and so are the books.

Honestly after watching the scorch trials again I agree with you lot, I so badly wanted to love it because I fell in love with the franchise and I love dylan O'brien as an actor but there was too much action and it was dissapointing. It's still different from Hunger games and Divergent but the maze runner was a lot better. I just hope they do the death cure justice.

I've read the books and it's like Divergent is the best, Insurgent is okay and Allegiant is the worst of them. I think they are going for that for the films, so nothing really changed.

i want to know what happens in ascendant as it’s own story. the movies are better than the book in their own way, whether it be the more ambiguous characters or the ability to get lessons across without having an overbearing amount of fan fiction type of romance. it’s so real it really gets the points of the book across almost better than the book. the director and everyone else working on this series are incredible.
Seems like you were one of the few who liked where the films were going. Even the actors didn't seem on board with where the story was going which according to them appeared to be nowhere.

Although it's different from the book, I think that this movie will be great. Divergent was the only one that was actually somewhat similar to the book, but insurgent and allegiant I think will be very different. I think the director had a specific intention to keep the movie more exiting, I guess, in insurgent. By creating the message inside the box and Tris going through the "real but not real" stimulations to get the message, I think I gives more of an excitement than Tris being scanned in the brain and all that for Jeanine Matthews. *IN MY OPINION* I personally, think that Tris being delivered to her death in the movie is better than in the book version. But the rest in the book I like better than the movie. Allegiant I think will be perhaps somewhat similar to the difference in insurgent. Meaning that I think they will have the same differential rate from the movie and the book. Either way, I would agree that all the movies are great and awesome and so are the books.

they deviated so much from the books. I read the book and I was on the verge of tears at the end. even though I'll still see the flick, I can predict that it won't have as much of an impact on me than the book.
