I do something similar. I create my own character. I'd love to be a writer one day and whenever I read a book,watch a movie,or watch a TV show I can't help but create my own character to go in. For example,for TMR I created a character named Rosemarie (named after Marie Curie) who was the first person in the glade,so it started with a girl and ended with a girl. Idk,is that weird? I try not to but sometimes I can't help it.

i'm almost done reading the book, but i can already tell ... they changed a lot. and i worry about the film because fans of this would probably complain a lot. i won't, seriously, i never complain when things from the books are changed or removed. i don't know, i just try to enjoy the movie without basing it on the books.

I watched the movie, it was so terrible. They left out a lot of things, and changed others. I loved the book series, but hated how they glossed over things in the movie.

Manuel Gomez Agreed. And most changes, as others have said, are for the better. The plot twists in the book were awesome, and I liked it so much. But just imagine the movie being made with the exact (or at least almost) happenings in the book. It would have been bad. Most of the time what they did is talk and talk. Barely any actions at all. And the Griever Hole was ... I don't know. Don't think that would really look great in the movie. Also, adding Minho and Thomas running in the maze with the walls moving is a great move.

Yeah. Dystopian is pretty amazing, and despite any similarities that others might see between the books, I still love them all and they all hold a unique place in my heart. So it doesn't really matter to me whether they're similar or not.
Is amazing how they are similar but when you get more into it, you see a whole unique fantastic world who leaves you claiming for more sequels. Dystopian is amazing and always gives you a rush on one point of the book.

1. when teresa woke up she was in a coma
2. she was never tied to a post!
3. they cant make a sculpture of the maze cause its always moving!
4. minho never found a metal tube with the number 7 on it or whatever
5. there was no tree house
6. thomas was only in the box once! there was no scene were he was in it at night and gally gets atacked!
7. in the "ending" the walls didn't open at night when they weren't suposed to. they just never shut.
8. the gladers never saw the maze walls move.
9. there was no red glowy movey thingy that opens doors!
10. the longest anybody had been in the maze was 2 years.
11. in the book when they banish ben, he has a coler around his neck connected to a long piece of wire. the only people that holded the wire were the keepers!
12. no one drowned in a metal tube.

13. Chuck died by knife wound, there were no guns there. Honestly there are so many changes from the book that I yelled at the screen the entire 2 hours. Oh and Teresa and Thomas had telepathy in the book, not in the movie.
Teresa's first words were "everything is going to change". She never said Thomas' name!

For the people who want to watch this movie, let me just say... IT IS AMAZING!!! It has an amazing plot with awesome characters, things are unexpected and it builds up the suspense. I would watch this movie every day and not get tired of it because it probably my favorite movie EVER now! It is 1 million times better than The Hunger Games and even made me cry in the ending. I can't wait for part two, and I am definitely buying the book!!!

Saw this on TV last week & immediately ordered the DVD so I could watch it again & again.
Great acting, great direction, great editing, great sound, great effects. Fantastic story. Intense mystery not knowing why there are there, who's controlling it all & why, or if they will find a way out. Real edge-of-seat suspense with a big twist at the end.
It just has an overall sense of menace. Love it.
But I'm wondering how the sequels will fair, now that we know the secret. I think maybe they'll just be all about action rather than a mental mystery.

I absolutely love the Maze Runner. I read the books and I'm so freaking excited to see the second movie. James Dashner did a magnificent job with the books, and so far Wes Ball did a pretty awesome job with the movie, so I have faith in the Scorch Trials. Be prepared for a great movie, everyone!

I love that part where Thomas just sits there while the maze closes and when it gets to the point where it is almost impossible to run through then he runs, like bruh you had all the time in the world 🤦♂️🤦♂️
IKR SO DRAMATIC
Honestly this is the most solid cast I've seen in a YA novel in a long time. Like all the supporting characters are skilled as well. The trailer was perfectly executed, and revealed the right amount of footage and information :) I am so psyched for September 19th!! Dylan O'Brien

Even the “Reason we’re here is because almost every lovin’ kid in the Glade has come up to me in the last day or two either boohooing about Thomas or beggin’ to take his bloody hand in marriage. We need to decide what we’re gonna do with him.” .... And all the weird words of the Glade. ....Yeah, I'd love to have a lot of quotes from the books. But I don't expect too much, because the movie is the movie and the book is the book

I can't wait for the slang to pick up with everyone (it might be really awesome or some people who didn't read the book will make it annoying ahahaha) and yeah exactly the book and the movie are two different things although still bound to eachother, I don't expect it to be every word off every page because it still has to be a cinematic experience! :)
