Not really! There is few of us that can do it. Some of us are Dani DaOrtiz's student. There is good amount of magicians that love Dani's DaOrtiz work and spend a good fortune on it.
Dani is the sort of person who when shopping could force the store owner to pay for whatever he's about to purchase. The suggestive manipulation in this act is cleverly smothered over by Dani's huge personality. It seems so random and that's the magic of his style.
i am completely blown away watching this, he is literally mind controlling the audience to pick the cards he tells them to without them realizing it, in the most difficult possible old-fashioned way
Knowing how the tricks were done makes the performance even more incredible. Dani is a true master at his craft and the fact he wasn’t even at the TV studio to perform himself makes this impromptu display of insane talent even more impressive.
As I commented on the original video, Dani creates a dual reality in which the audience believes Alison has 'thought' of a card but in fact she has 'chosen' a forced card. The complete chaos of Dani's act makes the dual reality easy to create. A stunning performance!!
During the act he said to all, "think any card you want", including Ally. Somehow he was able to convince Ally that any card is the card she saw during the shuffle. What he explicity said is not what he wants Ally does but indeed was what Ally did. This kind of suggestion doesn't work with guy on his left for sure or anyone trying to figure out the trick. Really risky but works in the end.
The crazy part about this entire appearance is that Danny wasn't asked to come on the show. He was backstage with another magician just helping this other magician when Penn and the producers asked him to perform. After some back and forth and convincing, Danny agreed to go on that night. What you're seeing is essentially an unplanned performance from a master magician, done without rehearsal. Makes everything he did that much more amazing.
@@korana6308 Someone made the comment on Chris Ramsay's channel when he made a video about Dani's appearance: th-cam.com/video/tQj3gUvvHHY/w-d-xo.html There's more discussion in the comments - including the guy saying Penn reiterated the story on his podcast.
I didn't want to watch this video because this was probably the greatest card magic routine (or maybe card magic ritual. Lol) that I have ever seen. But now, even someone explaining it, I'm blown away even more by how smoothly he handled the cards and spectators. There were a lot of moving parts so a lot could've went wrong be it was handled beautifully. And not to mention how funny and chaotic he makes everything feel. So good!!
Ireman, good job with the video. Only error is the final trick, Allison wasn't told to pick a card from the handful of cards she was given. She was told to look at one and put it in the middle, but if you look at the original video, she was told to "think of any card you want." Maybe the select cards and looking at one was a psychological trick, but overall, Allison did have free reign of picking ANY card she wanted. That final trick truly is amazing.
Yes, but from Allisons perspective, It would've been very hard to pick any other card. Basically, she is confused; she is remembering a card she looked at under the table, and doesn't know what for. Now Dani is asking her, if she is thinking of a card. The safe choice that clears the confusion, and also means that Allison doesn't have to remember TWO cards, is picking the card she is already remembering. She might also be scared that she misheard him, and doesn't want to mess up the trick by accident - the performance is frantic on purpose here. See how Dani just looks at the card at position 21, before Allison reveals what it is? That is because he is prepared to move the trick forward in a different direction if Allison against the pressure actually chose a different card.
@@Yang-ob4lk Also he says "if you do exactly as I tell you" then gives her a serious look until they lock eyes. That was a psychological force to pick the card she looked at.
Plus the blurry freeze frame doesn't show 3 cards. You cannot tell the number of cards she had from the video alone. Sorry, but that's flimsy evidence.
@@Yang-ob4lk what would he have done if Allison had picked another card? Sorry, the stakes are too high, and psych force is not infallible (or even close to 50-50). What was the plan B here? (And it had to be just as spectacular because Dani primed everyone that this was "the real trick").
Dani is the master and can control the cards so smoothly like his tongue. The laughter and those funny instructions make the magic look so good. He has so many back up plans ready to force the card whichever he wants. TELL ME TO STOP VERY FAST, what a sentence with a lot of meaning.
I cant walk and talk at the same time. Yet here is a guy who is larger than life, keeping his audience engaged and laughing, on the brink of chaos, and keeping track of cards, numbers, and slights. Simply blows my mind.
Dani’s performance was unbelievable, but so is this video. Amazing. Regarding the psychological force explanation based on counting, I always meet skepticism when I tell others how it’s done. It sounds so risky.
The level of risk is entirely dependent on the magician's experience and skill, especially with misdirection. When a force fails, he has many strategies for staying in control while retaining the persona that has been misleading everyone. This enables him to be extremely confident, because he knows exactly where things could go "wrong", and how to bring them back under control without anyone noticing. This is why psychological force tricks aren't for novices!
@@NicolasConnaultExactly what I thought, the real secret is how he would have handled if things went wrong which we don't have chances to watch because he just did the plan A so perfect lol 😅

When I saw him doing this magic for the first time, your channel came to my mind immediately, but I had a second thought that maybe you would not be able to figure out this one, but man, I was so wrong. You are truly a genius.
Organized chaos is what this is, and he pulls it off brilliantly. The way he makes everything look so sloppy, while he is in complete control the whole time is on a different level.
Dani is probably one of the best cars magicians out there. Knowing how this was done and the mental gymnastics he had to remember while being on stage, while being up close to two other amazing magicians, is just awesome.
For sure. He goes fast, slow, messy but it’s all part of the trick, everything looks random but it’s actually very tightly controlled. I’ve notice this sloppy technique before- these guys are masters in slight of hand yet appear to fumble constantly. It’s just an illusion to make you think they can’t be counting or keeping track of the cards in such chaos. Having four people at the table adds to this frantic feeling but the trick is still one person at a time done by building and remembering the count / force from before. Super impressive. Us mere mortals couldn’t do this even with the cards face up!
Just being able to memorize a deck, especially when it's out of your control, is simply amazing. The hoasts probably knew what was going on, but they were so amazed they gave him the trophy.
Busting him out on all these tricks doesn’t negate how flawlessly he pulled this off on television. He is still very good. Magic and he’s entertaining.
If this is all true, Dani is a master of the force. He even told Allison she could change the card at the very end right before the reveal. What if she did!!! So bold yet so masterful to have confidence that it will work out. That made the illusion so much stronger for me.
He fooled Penn Teller with misdirection, on that last trick very clever making them think everyone had a pile of cards and also making them hide the cards under the table
I recommend buying the ACAAN project chapter 1 ($10) even after this watching this. Dani goes into great detail (1 hour) about the psychology of the trick, tips, and even a different way to force the card. Well worth the money.
@@goodmaro In my opinion, yes. You may have a little trouble if you can’t understand his english but personally I had no problem. He actually has a decent video setup too.

I love the succinct way that you explain these tricks. It's the exact opposite of looking up a food recipe only to have to scroll through their life story and see what inspired them to post a meatloaf recipe.
He improvise a lot. Of course there are several tricks to do the magic but the important thing is how he makes us blowing our mind speaking and acting like everything is not important to do every trick. Amazing magician Dani.
Holy shit. There's so much that can go wrong. I may no longer be fooled by his routine but now I'm extremely impressed by how in control he is despite his chaotic exterior
For everything that can go wrong, he's got a way of fixing it. Either by doing a quick lift/pinky/whatever sleight-of-hand thing or by using a different outcome scenario and pretending it was supposed to go that way.
Great fun all around. That said, Dani is not doing anything P&T haven’t seen many times over…and actually do much of this themselves. What’s wonderful is his showmanship…making amazing moves seemingly out of chaos…but it isn’t chaos at all, but very carefully controlled card and audience management.
To be fair Narrarator guy. The showmanship to perform this as well as how good Dani is will take you years to just perform it half as good as he did. He learned from the best card magician in Spain and damn near the world.
This always blows my mind. I had a good sense of ways to work it up to the “any card any number” (not experienced enough to know those methods) but it’s just so so masterfully done. So masterfully done. And so entertaining!!!
Usually when I watch these videos I'm left sort of disappointed with how easy the tricks were... with Dani I'm just amazed how technical and precise he is. Even knowing how he does it it's still incredible to watch.. and the look on Penn and Teller's faces at the end is a perfect summation. I don't think he fooled them either, but he's a master of his craft and they appreciate it!
I could fathom most of Dani's tricks, but last on left me puzzled. Ty for the explanation. Even with this knowledge its incredible to me how he conducts this under (near-)perfect vision.
This is one of those rare cases where the reveal makes it more incredible. It wasn't one carefully constructed move, a specific routine. He was basically improvising just thanks to his unbelievable skill.
Commenting this before i see the solution.. :D I saw video of this trick the other day and my best guess was that it has something to do with guiding their choices and at the same time counting cards really well, and maybe even adjusting positions slightly, so it ends up where he wants it. But i am not sure that i am right because that would require so much concentration and having control of moving parts of that trick in his head...that my head hurts only of thinking what all you have to keep track of. Edit: yeah..i was roughly on the right track...but didnt figured out the detailed moves he did... but still the amount of stuff he had to have in his mind and control at any given time to do this is staggering.
I actually noticed most of the tricks in the video because it’s so much easier to see back on it when recorded. In real time, the misdirection would make it much harder to catch.
@@irehman7 I have! Oh god that's super chaotic and possibly even more skilled than this one. Fellow can't even seem to hold cards without spilling them. ROFL. But everything works anyway.
@@irehman7 BTW how does he control the king when he asks Penn to touch a card and it is "this is the same" - king three times - it's obviously sleight of hand, but what technique?.
The mental capacity for keeping track of 52 cards while seemingly shuffling them between four people, four people who are looking for any faults is incredible. I fancy myself pretty quick, but this trick, even the explanation, will remain a mystery to me. Great job on this video though. Excellent sequences that did help me understand this further.
Crazy how you cracked Dani! I'm still surprised how he executed plenty of tricks and putting that constant pressure to force cards that could've gone wrong! He earns alot more respect now!
Dani is a whole mentalist. The annoying sounds he makes all the time are to put pressure on the person and make them act quickly, as they just want him to shut up. That's a mentalism trick. Tricks 3 and 4 were done with mentalism forcing, and trick 6 also had mentalism in the way he made Donny stop at the 7 of spades(?). And the last trick there was even mentalism on Penn, with the thumbs up to force Penn to say "stop!". If you watch other stuff from Daortiz on TH-cam, you see how he makes the person dizzy until he gets them to pick the decision he needs. The psychological tricks he plays are an essential part of his routine.
I love your videos! Can I make a polite request? On your next video, could you turn the music volume down a little, so that the voice is not fighting over the music? The explanation is interesting enough without the music and would be much clearer for us older listeners who struggle to separate the sounds. Thank you!
Danis performance is one of the best, if not best, I have ever seen. This explanation is really great, thank you. And it only adds up to Danis performance, since the skill needed to do all that AND do it in a way P&T were stunned after stunned, is real magic :)
I just can't believe how all the psychological forces in the trick just worked. Even after hearing the explanation, that is how I'm still blown away by the practical 10 minutes application of the trick. How can that just work? How can it work so often? I understand that there are backups, but how can those work more often than not? Especially with the counting and dealing less and less cards and then just 1 card being left until the trick fails. With him even encouraging the people to be bold and go beyond, but they just don't do it. It's crazy to me. The real puzzle here is the nature of human psychology. Really, even after hearing all that, I can't believe that a trick based on people just following your indirect suggestions will just work. That is crazy to me. It's not even the trick here, it is genious of course, but I am deeply puzzled about the human nature here.
Great video. I had no idea how he did the first half, but the card at the 21st position was immediately obvious to me when I saw him counting the cards Allison put down, then asking to deal 1 at a time that the way he put the cards back together from Penn, Allison, Teller, and the other guy was very specific.
Wow I’m even more impressed bc what a bold and risky type of magic to do on the show. Im sure he had some sort of back up plans but he already knew he would fool them bc this trick can only be pulled off with experience
So a change in camera angle helps hide important parts of the trick but also pin points when an exposed part of the trick takes places. So working out what movement was being hidden can help in your "cracking the trick". 😋😋
I thought I was going to be disappointed watching this because the trick felt so magical and I didn’t catch anything when watching it. But seeing how it’s done, it’s like a symphony for its complexity. So many pieces, so well controlled all while being an affable “clown” character. It’s just crazy how amazingly skilled he is.
The skill level here is extraordinary. Spain sure does love a card trick and, damn, they're good at it. There was a guy in the 80s who was insanely good at this and was on UK tv a lot. Very similar performance style as well, the scatty, funny set up to the "how the hell did he do that" finale.

And that's why he is so amazing. So many things could have gone wrong. Especially with the last 2 tricks. Yet he made it look easy and effortless.
Been waiting for this one! I'm so thankful for your channel,
Hope you enjoy it!
@@irehman7 Always do!
Danny is the best card magician ever.
I for one will not watch it. Only this one time. That trick made me feel like a child again. Amazing skill.
Was hoping you would cover this one.
Thanks 👊😎
No problem!
This is, literally, the perfect video to use to kickoff your comeback! Thank you!
I think I'm even more impressed with Dani after you broke it down. That is an otherworldly skill set he has.
Magic tricks that don't lose any of their magic when fully explained are incredible.
I'm not gonna lie, the last trick is still mind blowing even with the explanation!!!
Yessss
Perhaps the greatest card routine I’ve ever seen - no, the greatest
No doubt!
I could fathom most of Dani's tricks, but last on left me puzzled.
Ty for the explanation.
Even with this knowledge its incredible to me how he conducts this under (near-)perfect vision.
Finally!! Good to have you back!!
Thanks!
And we also finally got the first reveal of season 9
I love how you try to reveal this. Sure, you can explain, but only a master like Dani can pull off. 🤙🤙
You are absolutely right. The explanation only adds to our understanding of how super skilled Danny is.
Watching this video in 2024, the routine was perfectly executed
Excellent explanations!
Glad you think so!
this explanation blew my mind. I was more impressed by your explanation than with the actual trick! Amazing
Just wow, even knowing how to do it that trick is more awesome
This is one of those rare cases where the reveal makes it more incredible. It wasn't one carefully constructed move, a specific routine. He was basically improvising just thanks to his unbelievable skill.
That last part was amazing :O
Commenting this before i see the solution.. :D
I saw video of this trick the other day and my best guess was that it has something to do with guiding their choices and at the same time counting cards really well, and maybe even adjusting positions slightly, so it ends up where he wants it.
20:00 Now that was the best trick/part I have ever seen, clever, really clever!
This is one of the ones which when you learn how they do it you actually appreciate it even more
Now I understand, and am stumped by the talent. It's my life.
Do check out Markobi's FISM act. I also covered it on the channel. His act is chaotic similar to Dani.
" Classic Force"
The mental capacity for keeping track of 52 cards while seemingly shuffling them between four people, four people who are looking for any faults is incredible. I fancy myself pretty quick, but this trick, even the explanation, will remain a mystery to me.
Great job on this video though. Excellent sequences that did help me understand this further.
Dani, pure mastery.
Crazy how you cracked Dani! I'm still surprised how he executed plenty of tricks and putting that constant pressure to force cards that could've gone wrong! He earns alot more respect now!
Dani explained a lot of his tricks in details years ago as video tutorials. Really amazing to watch.
this trick is beatiful, so is your analysis
I didn't expect you would need to be at least half of a mentalist to perform these kind of card tricks but guess i was wrong.. simply amazing skills.
Thank you!
Sorry about that. I'll forward this to my editor
@@irehman7 Thank you very much. Some of us old grandpas will really appreciate that!
Bloomberg radio does their news briefs with LOUD music playing in the background . Absurd.
Thanks!! Great job! I've been waiting for this explanation!!
You're welcome!
so smooth, love it
🫡
That's a pretty difficult routine. Pretty incredible how effortless and chaotic it all looks. Reminds me of a mix of L. Green as well as Juan
You deserve a very fat trophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for this video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Teller's face when he realises that the force is already in and he missed it is just pure gold.
Danis performance is one of the best, if not best, I have ever seen. This explanation is really great, thank you. And it only adds up to Danis performance, since the skill needed to do all that AND do it in a way P&T were stunned after stunned, is real magic :)
I'm not sure what's more facsinating, the trick or the explanation?
Great video 👍👍
Waited for your reveal. Still mind blown by Dani Daortiz. What an work of art! Magician!!
The forces are like the real magic😂
Great video. I had no idea how he did the first half, but the card at the 21st position was immediately obvious to me when I saw him counting the cards Allison put down, then asking to deal 1 at a time that the way he put the cards back together from Penn, Allison, Teller, and the other guy was very specific.
Dani's Spectator control is amazing
Years of Experience
@@irehman7 yes
Wow I’m even more impressed bc what a bold and risky type of magic to do on the show. Im sure he had some sort of back up plans but he already knew he would fool them bc this trick can only be pulled off with experience
Force or not even the JEDI have full respect for Dani.
Catch him or not on camera he still makes it look good
This guys brain is working on overdrive. To keep track of all this stuff is so amazingly difficult.
Really appreciate your work. I had one query: what would have happened if Osmond had messed up the order while inspecting the deck right at the start?
So a change in camera angle helps hide important parts of the trick but also pin points when an exposed part of the trick takes places. So working out what movement was being hidden can help in your "cracking the trick". 😋😋
I thought I was going to be disappointed watching this because the trick felt so magical and I didn’t catch anything when watching it.
But seeing how it’s done, it’s like a symphony for its complexity. So many pieces, so well controlled all while being an affable “clown” character. It’s just crazy how amazingly skilled he is.
just spend the 34.99 to get the full explanation and Dani's commentary over the trick. its well worth it.
The skill level here is extraordinary. Spain sure does love a card trick and, damn, they're good at it. There was a guy in the 80s who was insanely good at this and was on UK tv a lot. Very similar performance style as well, the scatty, funny set up to the "how the hell did he do that" finale.
This was a killer performance
