Lekker! I have the HAVAL H6 Super Lux - absolutely love my car! Your review was actually the final decision for me - best decision ever! In regards to fuel consumption, i cant speak for the Chery Tiggo. I'm honestly amazed at the interior material and build quality of the new Cherys. Look at how the sides of the inside of the boot at 10:20 is covered in carpet. You don't get that in any other SUVs at much higher prices. The Sportage, Tuscon, Rav4 etc is all hard scratchy plastic that gets scratched and damaged by luggage. Really really amazing. Well damn done Chery. And I test drove a Tiggo 8 Pro and it has better interior material and build quality than a GLA and GLB and those costs hundreds of thousands more and doesn't even have all the features of the Chery.
Apart from the fuel consumption this car is great, the interior is top notch. I would advice anyone with a fully paid Vivo,Fiesta or Corolla to consider this as their second car. The German's are offering such for nothing less than 700k, in today's economy most people cannot afford that.

I drove the car for just under 6 months and sold it back to Chery. I just seemed to have endless issues. Although the technicians were always willing to assist, which I really commend, as a daily drive I really wasn't enjoying it. 1st issue was the Aircon which during EVERY drive gave off a horrible 'old water smell'. 2nd issue was a rattle in the instrument cluster which was extremely annoying. 3rd issue was a ticking noise after its 5000km service which technicians could not replicate, but occurred frequently until the vehicle was sold back to Chery. 4th issue, and honestly the main one for me, the terrible fuel consumption. My good Sir, can you please do a review on the Tiggo 7 pro max AWD the 2024 model, I would really appreciate your input, i am looking into it. Your guidance will be appreciated
The Chinese keep delivering. The working class needs this. If you want a German SUV you must have tenders somewhere or you're in a political party or you just have a shitload of money. I can tell you for free that the average South African does not have a shitload of money. Cherry and Haval nailed it. Right place at just the right time.
True. I test drove a Tiggo 8 and the interior material and build quality is better than a Mercedes GLA and GLB and those costs hundreds of thousands more. And you don't even get the tech from the Tiggo 8 because it's all optional extras on the Mercedes. I hope the other carmakers learn from this. People are not missing anything by not going for the overpriced German stuff.
@@danielbredenkamp3957 And that's a good thing. Because Mercedes isn't what it used to be. You pay all that money for a car no better than cars half its price. I have a 2015 E350 Bluetec. The newer E Class that came after it is of far lower quality. You can feel it. It looks fancy inside but that's just looks. There's no substance. I test drove the new C Class. It's awful. If you rest your leg against the side of the centre console it creaks. The entire lower half of the doors and dash is hard Kia Picanto like plastic. The inside of the cubby isn't even lined in fabric like every other C Class before it. My dad's 2005 C Class with 330,000 kms feels more solid than the new C Class and it doesn't have all that nasty plastic nor does it creak when you lean against parts inside. The Chery Tiggo 8 has better material and build quality so Mercedes is just a disgrace. The new Mercedes CEO made it clear they need to chase profitability. And you can see the evidence of cost cutting everywhere in their new cars. I for one, as a Mercedes owner now and once a loyal fan, will never buy another one because they all feel like a downgrade. And when a car from China called a Chery that's half the price and has better tech and quality, there's no point in Mercedes justifying their stupid prices anymore. In the past it was justified because they could back it up with quality and solidity. Well no more.

Great Review and Great SUV. The only downside is the fuel consumption. Most petrol turbos are like that.
Hi guys anyone with cherry 7 how are you coping with fuel consumption of this car mine is killing me
My good Sir, can you please do a review on the Tiggo 7 pro max AWD the 2024 model, I would really appreciate your input, i am looking into it. Your guidance will be appreciated
This car is. beautiful, Best value for money
@@SDav21 only thing is....its NOT a Mercedes and will never be....😜
@@danielbredenkamp3957 And that's a good thing.
@@SDav21 thanks but no thanks.
Would love to see you review the Tiggo 7 Pro MAX awd.
Can't wait to see your review on Omoda 5. Good job👍
Have you tested the adaptive cruise control?
Will never personally buy a Cherry. But I definitely recommend them to someone on a tight budget where bang for buck is the biggest priority.
Dylan why wouldn't you but it?
@@Myteksonic don't trust these Chinese brands yet...they don't have a history yet. They can disappear again or after 5yrs spares can be a nightmare...no history
So you won't buy a C-H-E-R-R-Y but would you buy a C-H-E-R-Y?
Love my Tiggo 7 Pro, just disappointed that the executive doesn't provide both normal cruise and adaptive cruise control.
Thee Very reason I did not get the executive, I drive everywhere including in town with cruise control, and ACC is just not viable nor as awesome as everyone is lead to believe!
@@RyanTravisAbrams True, but one would think in the top spec they would offer both options, but unfortunately not. But hey, awesome car, I love it. Wil manage the ACC.
@@henniehamman5778 wife has the H6 super Lux and that ACC is unusable on open road, brakes for the armco barrier around corners and power lines over the road. It too also cannot be turned off, it's because you would need to turn off ADAS completely.
@@RyanTravisAbrams That sucks.
@@RyanTravisAbrams I guess this is one aspect why you MAY pay more for a German car for example. Their adaptive cruise controls use radar AND camera to prevent such errors which is why the higher expense perhaps. But still, the rest doesn't justify their higher prices. Love the H6.
There are little differences between this and the version in middle east regarding external and internal shape
My only gripe no power the Haval has more power .
Stuff the family, I subscribed looong ago as I really like the channel. I'm sure most car guys do. Enjoy ☺👍
Great to hear :)
Cooler box test 😎
We need this in a diesel spec
Patiently waiting for the Chery Omada
