    I really like the idea of having double hosts. It brings the chemistry way up and takes the pressure off the new cast. Key and Peele would be perfect for the next time

    As a high school teacher, I can say this is the most accurate depiction of students I have ever seen. The only thing missing is neither of the students asked to go to the restroom.

      @@orionred2489 This was a bit extreme, but the technique I think they were trying to show is scaffolding. You have an idea of what the should already know from previous courses. You take one of those elements, so they are on familiar ground, then add additional information to broaden the concept and develop connections to other things they already know. It provides a framework to help them learn and remember the new information. Usually, on discovering that a class is missing an expected building block, you go back and cover that before moving on (and find out where the hole in the curriculum is).

    This is exactly what kids are actually like; this is what teaching is like. Notice how focused, jolly and enthusiastic they are at the start of the lesson and how exhausted and aggravated they are by the end.

    Martin Short is without a doubt one of the best hosts SNL has ever had. The Malibu High skit is my favorite of his.

      What's really amazing is that Short was a cast member during the last season that Dick Ebersol was running the show (1984-85) and, prior to that, Short was on SCTV (which is one in a handful of sketch shows that are considered just as good as or better than SNL).

    As a tutor, this is my absolute favorite sketch series. They simply don’t miss.
    They capture the essence of students so well, so eager to answer but they get so excited to answer they completely forget how to think I’m the process. God I love teaching.

      It's an evergreen skit. Whenever you can string enough of these jokes together you have a new one. One's like the Kate McKinnon's abduction sketches you have to come up with a new scenario each time. So each time is harder and harder to do.

    I will always enjoy this skit Both Steve and Martin are awesome working together and the SNL stars makes the skit even funnier. I hope SNL keeps this skit running with newer hosts performing it…
