I would say get a portable Yamaha sampler or you can get software for your laptop that would allow you to do so. Matthew, if you get it for the last time, you're going to need connectives to connect your microphone to the laptop.

I've just rec'd my F998 sound card from Amazon yesterday(10/28/2023) and plug it to my laptop(Windows 11) but it does not recognize the sound card. No, you cannot. But you can connect your phone to it. And there is many sound sampling apps out there or soundboard apps. This way you can use other sound effects with the sound card.

It's not to record. It's just an enhance your voice that has sound effects. That's it. You would have to use that in a record into your laptop or phone.

I have an adopter for a USB plug mic because the mic plug on this one is a 3.5 mm. It does have USB ports but the microphone did not go through them. You can get a adopter for it on Amazon for like $4

Plug in the USB cable into the laptop when it's off when you turn it on it should auto recognize it. If not you may need to go into the USB port on the laptop and left click to search for the device . Hopefully that will help.

@@LoBo91dx the whole system, 'cause I used the lightning icon, then my voice sounds weird and it doesn't matter if I turn off and turn on the sound card.

How would we get the sound to the PC? i have everything plugged and can hear but my stream doesnt pick up the sound effects.

I know it didn't recognize as mine either outright. I did have to download audio editing program. There's several free ones out there.

Check the connections to make sure you're running the card. Actually into the laptop. That's the only thing I could figure that it would affect it

You may have a defective one and may have to return it to get a replacement My computer recognized it right away. And I was able to turn it off

Even without the recording or editing software, you shouldn't be able to hear yourself. It may be the microphone that you're using.
